I had a dream I was casually hanging out with Mika because we were a couple. He had signed up for another one of those song writing camps and was panicking because he had to write one song before the camp started. He played the song for me from YouTube and it even had a video although it wasn't fully finished and there were scenes of Mika putting his face to a scanner and spreading the pictures all around the room. The song he was writing for the camp was a total copy of Blame It on the Girls and Mika couldn't understand why he couldn't make another song like that. The best part of the dream was that I found out Mika's secret YouTube channel for unfinished videos and songs: it was called "HangoverSounds".

That's what I was thinking too. The whole set-up makes me think this is a scene from some teen movie where Mika is Ariana's older brother and they come up with this cool song to show bullies how awesome Ariana really is. I must admit the supposed cover for this single is quite nice though.

Yes that's what the song was about for me too and that's what keeps me listening to it every time I listen to TOOL. It's not like I need to relate to every single song in order to like it but because the song itself isn't that great this was the aspect that appealed to me the most. Now that it's stripped away I don't find it interesting in the least. Exactly. The song now reminds me of Glee, which I hate with passion just because it's so damn cheesy (sorry to all the Glee fans, it's just not my cup of tea). Oh you! You're in for a treat then!

Well said. I usually don't even bother posting if I disagree with the general opinion (often it's because I feel like I'm not able to express myself clearly enough and I'm afraid people will get the wrong idea) but this time I just couldn't keep my mouth shut. I've been a bit snappy today.

... How do I say this in a nice manner? I've never been a fan of this song but without Priscilla there's not much to like I'm afraid. The thing that makes it even worse is the fact that they've left out all the "bad words" like bitch and faggot. As ridiculous as it makes me sound I think they brought some edge to the song and without these bits it's just another song I could imagine hearing in a clichéd high school film. It's odd how he'd come up with something like this after adapting a whole new image of being such a neatly-dressed, grown up musician with an album full of love songs. Looking back at his career I might've expected him to do this a couple years ago but right now it just seems like a really strange tactic. I don't get it and in all honesty, if this was the first song people heard from Mika I don't think anyone would take him seriously. I'm sorry if it's a bit harsh but that's how I feel about this. Ugh. No. Just... No.
