    Hallo, falls es euch nichts ausmacht, würde ich mich auch gerne an der Diskussion beteiligen, es fällt mir immerhin einfacher auf Deutsch als auf Englisch zu schreiben und auf einen aktiven Thread in meiner Muttersprache kann ich kaum hoffen...

    I know that these singers from k-pop bands are really good and professional but to be honest, I feel is a bit too "commercial". Maybe I'm wrong but what I've heard there is often an entertainment company behind them who chooses the singers and creates the band so the members are really talented but at the same time to me it doesn't feel as authentic, it's more like an "industry". I mean of course many girl- and boybands were made from talent shows etc., but I have the feeling is not that genuine (and also often these bands don't last for a long time and split). That's my problem with k-pop, all these bands are very similar "manufactured" and don't seem to be original but maybe it's just because I don't live in their world and don't get the music and the context...

    I actually thought Mika kind of likes K-pop, at least I think I've read it in some interview but it could be just a similar situation as this one and he just wanted to be nice and polite... I have to say I'm not a fan of this kind of music but maybe it's just because I don't understand it and can't get into it.

    I know but the gig three years ago was his first gig here (there was one planned before but it was cancelled) and it was organized by the same people who invited him to the festival Colours of Ostrava in 2015 which was his first performance in the Czech Republic, so actually without the festival there would be no concert in Prague... But the reviews were indeed great and even the organizers praised his show, so at least there's hope... 🙏

    I'm hoping for any other European countries than Italy and France as these two are almost confirmed... Of course my dream is Prague, Austria or Germany would also work for me, but I'm a bit worried about that.

    Update on my project: It's not done yet, I want it a bit thicker, but it's going quite well so far... My original idea was to use the quote "I live for glitter not you" but then I thought it's a bit too long and complicated. :biggrin2: So I've chosen Love Today.

    Please wish me luck with my new creative project, I've never done this before. :lmfao: Today I've finally received my hot fix applicator which I've ordered weeks ago and bought a new grey jersey and some hot fix stones and crystals. I want to do some Mika-related design, probably some quote, I hope it will work...     I think with a little bit of phantasy almost everything can be interpreted in that way... But this is getting a bit too far imo.

    Me too, I think this is a great song to represent the TV series but the new album will be more representative for Mika as an artist...

    I agree but unfortunately, he used to be more relevant for radios back then than nowadays.

    Finally I get why you have mentioned Lollipop before... But I don't think that the lyrical content is the reason why he is worried about the radios, much more explicit songs are played on the radio without any problems. It's probably rather because his music doesn't fit into the mainstream nowadays. However, that's what we like about him.

    I also think it's rather a song for the series, therefore my expectations weren't as high as usual because even though the lyrics fit perfectly to the show, at least for me they don't feel as relatable and genuine... But everyone is free to have his own opinion of course.

    Well, as you wrote, it's a bit too simple, the song builds up good but the chorus lets me down. However, it's catchy and it's an earworm, my brain started to play the song immediately after I woke up today...

    I think the intro, the verses and the bridge are really awesome, unfortunately the chorus isn't as interesting as the rest of the song. I like the parts where his voice goes up and down. However, the chorus is a bit bland compared to the rest. It's a nice song but there's something missing, of course that's only my opinion after listening to the song multiple times during the day.

    I'm sure the album will be quite different, these songs are something like BBB, enjoyable but nothing like the album. I know that he once said that It's My House was originally written for the album but tbh, after TAY I also didn't expected such a great album, it's probably my least favourite track on NPIH. I agree it'll be difficult to beat the last album, it's my favourite too, but I still believe the new one can be just as good.

    My impression after hearing the whole song for the first time – it sounds much better than I expected! Don't get me wrong, the snippet I've heard before wasn't bad but tbh, I wasn't that excited, idk why but it felt quite generic to me. However, I absolutely love the beginning of the song, the verses are even better than the chorus imo. Especially the very beginning (intro and first verses) is amazing. Btw, I wonder if the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify is personalized? I know Release Radar is but I thought NMF isn't and that it just depends on the country. Just because I found there Sound Of An Orchestra on 12th spot. And do you see the song on youtube? I saw on Twitter some screenshots from Mika's channel with the song but I don't have it on YT, it's probably only in Italy... EDIT: I even found the YT link but the video doesn't work for me...

    I've found Songs for Sorrow on ebay.de "just" for 40 €, but the seller doesn't have any reviews and he/she is selling only this one item, so I'm not sure if it's trustful enough... But I thought it's an interesting price for the EP.

      I bought last year from one MFCer who was selling her collection but it cost more, there were autographs in it.

      I saw one sealed on ebay recently for £25 but it had a reserve price and it wasn't met so it didn't sell.
