  1. I only got chance to watch the performance on youtube right before I went to bed. So annoyed that ITV (UK broadcaster) didn't show it! What a show!!! It was wonderful but over all too quickly, I loved the set up with the piano and the children did such a great job. They looked lovely in their suits! And Mika's suit was stunning!
  2. Realising that Mika pretty much took this song and gave it a French twist! https://youtu.be/ydrtF45-y-g?si=O5HZ3TsCEwrN_uf6 Give it a listen. Loudly. At work is best I think
  3. I agree with this too. And also what you say about normalisation of being open about identity, sexuality and sex. So many artists tip toe around the subject, either because they don't feel comfortable opening up or they've been told no. It's actually refreshing to have a song from Mika that's so blatant.
  4. This is purely my own personal preference, but I wouldn't describe the song as explicit myself. Yes, some of the wording can certainly be seen that way but for me the song as a whole isn't. As previously pointed out it's not done in a vulgar way, it's simply conveying that honesty of what making love can accomplish for a relationship and what it feels like between two people. To me the song is very pure and very real, for once I actually think it's a good thing that Mika isn't hiding behind innuendos. It might not carry the same emotional impact as C'est La Vie but it's still very much a "heart on my sleeve" kind of song. I also think the song conveys that balance between what can be negatively thrown at a relationship and the negativity already within a relationship, but it circles back to how two people get through it together. The "Apocalypse" is out there in the world but there's also an "Apocalypse" happening between the lovers (gives me Last Party vibes). As I said before it might not necessarily be the physical side of the relationship that makes things stronger, intimacy doesn't have to just mean sex. It can be just two people standing side by side, supporting each other. Sometimes love IS enough. There's nothing wrong with bringing up the subject of sex in a song and why shouldn't Mika go down this route with AC? He's said time and time again that he's sick of people telling him no, telling him that he can't be his true self. Now he his (although it did also come across in MNIMH) and with this song I actually find it empowering. Referring back to this line especially: "No matter what they think about the consequences, your booty is dancing", Mika doesn't give a damn about the consequences of people seeing that he's in a very umm shall we say fullfilling relationship . Not everyone is going to like this song, either lyrically or musically and there's no right or wrong opinion or interpretation for it either. And that's ok. I'm glad we can discuss our various thoughts about a song here and nothing bad is going to happen if someone says they don't connect to it, we can still be accepting of one another's opinions and that's what I love about MFC! . I'll be honest too, I can relate to the majority of Mika's songs but I think this is the first one where I don't feel a connection with the lyrics. The music has more of an impact on me, I love the softness and the higher beats of the chorus. As long as it gets me dancing then that's good enough for me! I was going to say something along this line too! You've hit the nail on the head there!
  5. Another UK based online store selling the blue vinyl (unsigned and without stickers). They also have the standard vinyl and CD. https://recordstore.co.uk/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-vinyl-lp?_pos=2&_sid=e806583cf&_ss=r
  6. I am so in love with this song! When I gave it a first listen I thought "ooh this is so soft and calm at the start", then the build up from the pre-chorus to the chorus moves away from calmness into something more stronger and somewhat uplifting. There's power behind those words in the chorus and I love how Mika has just put it all out there without holding back about the subject matter, of course it's about sex and it's very much in your face in the chorus, but I also pick up on the more romantic side of the song. There's that sense of intimacy between two people but it doesn't just have to mean something physical all the time, it's clearly a love song about finding strength in each others love and being able to resist any sh*t that life throws your way. You've worded this so well, I 100% agree! I'm going to be listening to this song on repeat so much today! I needed this ♥️
  7. Some Japanese music sites selling the album: https://tower.jp/item/6209091/Que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours https://diskunion.net/portal/ct/search?m=2&q=QUE TA TETE FLEURISSE TOUJOURS https://www.hmv.co.jp/artist_MIKA_000000000359683/title_Que-Ta-Tete-Fleurisse-Toujours_14390796/
  8. Merch from the 'Que ta tête fleurisse toujours' era. Made available from 18/10/2023. CD Standard vinyl Limited edition blue marble vinyl with logo stickers And without stickers White tee with new Mika logo Back of tee with 'Que ta tête fleurisse toujours' on the back Black crewneck jumper with new logo Blue notebook front Blue notebook back Blue notebook first page I'm sure once people have the physical items in their hot little hands we can share more pictures if what they actually look like here, especially the signed vinyl!
  9. I really hope they will be. I was actually thinking today that it's likely that the merch will be available at some of the tour dates next year, I know that's a long time to wait but usually left over merch from gigs does get added to online stores. I guess it's a matter of just waiting and being patient (which we're good at, y'know being Mika fans... 😅).
  10. I remember one of the descriptions did use the word 'pre-order' and also said something along the lines of "order may arrive later than expected release date." Yeah right, probably never! Thanks for that, hopefully they'll be removed!
  11. Just want to make people aware of something I've come across on ebay today. Most days I look for Mika merch and today I saw 2 listings for the signed album with the stickers, they were both around the £130 mark! (Whereas on Mika's shop the vinyl is €45.99) Without proof I can't actually say if these sellers are scammers but I wouldn't recommend anyone buying from them. They also claim to be UK sellers, which I don't understand because at the minute there's still no shipping to the UK from Mika's French store. So just be warned that just because Mika's album is available to pre-order doesn't mean that all listings on private selling sites are going to be genuine!
  12. Just checked Amazon UK and the album is available to pre-order as a digital download only. I'd be very surprised if they didn't sell physical versions, hopefully they'll be added soon. Couldn't find it yet on HMV. Here are some links to other music shops that are selling his album: https://www.fnac.com/a18667225/Mika-Que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-Exclusivite-Fnac-Vinyle-Blanc-Vinyle-album#int=S:NonApplicable|NonApplicable|NonApplicable|18667225|NonApplicable|L1 This is the bundle with the stickers but I don't think it mentions anything about an autograph: https://musicstation.be/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-marbled-blue-lp Same applies to this link: https://www.umusic.ca/collections/vinyl/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-lp CD and vinyls here, again no mention of autograph: https://platenzaak.nl/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-cd
  13. Just going back over Mika's post and realising he has MORE surprises on the way!? 😲 He is such a tease! 😁
  14. Just got a translation from someone on X, this is what it says: "It all starts with an idea and at the beginning there is no weak or bad idea. Let it go and may your head bloom." Very true words indeed!
  15. I love the different variations of Mika's logo within the album. With this one below it kinda makes me think of an egg that's just been cracked open and Mika's logo has spilled out! The part above the 'I' looks like an egg shell and the rest of MIKA is the yoke!
  16. I was having a closer look at a bundle and also the notebook, can someone please translate here what it says on the first page? Thank you.
  17. Just checked and both versions of the vinyl are still available on the UK store. I did notice though that it only allows you to purchase 3 of each, whether that's a limitation thing or the actual number of stock available I'm not too sure.
  18. I know bundles from artists stores do tend to sell really well as they are often exclusive and have limited numbers, which means they're often considered 'rare' and are more highly desired by fans. However I do think it would have been nice to have the option to buy the new merch separately if we wanted to, not everyone is going to be able to afford them at such high prices and then there's the shipping to consider. Individual items would work out cheaper and would probably sell just as well. But I can see where the marketing team are coming from; high demand (the fans) = high cost 🙃
  19. Managed to get the blue vinyl and CD from the UK store! I'm going to be religiously checking the French store to keep an eye on the country list for shipping. Little bit gutted that UK isn't on there yet but hopefully it will be soon. Or it would be even better if the merch on the French shop was also on the UK one, at least shipping would be cheaper! I would absolutely love the notebook, but being such a precious item (to me at least) I'd never use it! 😅
  20. No, I don't know anyone who attended 😅 I guess I'm just reminded of a small production I got the chance to see filmed some time ago (it was a small local event here in Yorkshire), I honestly thought everyone in the crowd were all ordinary members of the public but some had been invited by agents to make up the numbers I guess. The Piano team might not have gone down that route after all, even though there were posts on Twitter it might have also been advertised locally in London. Besides, it's not like London train stations are ever empty!
  21. I'd imagine it was done through the crew of the TV production team to contact anyone they know in the area to be there. Of course ordinary people and commuters passing through would have probably stopped to watch as well but I would expect the team would want to create the feel of having a small audience. I can't be 100% sure how it will look on TV, but when it airs it might look as though a small crowd is already placed there to watch, but in fact it's slightly "staged" with the people who were invited. This is fairly common with outdoor TV productions. Saying that, with the massive success of The Piano here I'd expect a small audience could easily be created with just members of the public already there too. I also saw the posts on Twitter so some may have gone on the off chance of seeing it filmed if they had the time. Certainly makes me wish I was back in London!
  22. Yep! Some people were invited to watch if they were close enough to the train station or able to get there in time.
  23. Wish I had a 'good morning' face like that when I get up early! 😅
  24. Feel like this is right up @dcdebs street! As for myself I'd like to take part but I'm not too sure if nervousness would get the better of me. I'm the kind of person that thinks I sound good when I sing but I'm pretty sure if anyone else heard me, I'd probably sound like a wailing cat 😅 (ok so I'm not that bad but I won't be getting a record deal anytime soon). I also don't speak French. I know Mika says neither of those things matter and I could always lipsync too but I'm just not sure this contest is for me. Good luck to everyone taking part though!
