  1. Just got a translation from someone on X, this is what it says: "It all starts with an idea and at the beginning there is no weak or bad idea. Let it go and may your head bloom." Very true words indeed!
  2. I love the different variations of Mika's logo within the album. With this one below it kinda makes me think of an egg that's just been cracked open and Mika's logo has spilled out! The part above the 'I' looks like an egg shell and the rest of MIKA is the yoke!
  3. I was having a closer look at a bundle and also the notebook, can someone please translate here what it says on the first page? Thank you.
  4. Just checked and both versions of the vinyl are still available on the UK store. I did notice though that it only allows you to purchase 3 of each, whether that's a limitation thing or the actual number of stock available I'm not too sure.
  5. I know bundles from artists stores do tend to sell really well as they are often exclusive and have limited numbers, which means they're often considered 'rare' and are more highly desired by fans. However I do think it would have been nice to have the option to buy the new merch separately if we wanted to, not everyone is going to be able to afford them at such high prices and then there's the shipping to consider. Individual items would work out cheaper and would probably sell just as well. But I can see where the marketing team are coming from; high demand (the fans) = high cost 🙃
  6. Managed to get the blue vinyl and CD from the UK store! I'm going to be religiously checking the French store to keep an eye on the country list for shipping. Little bit gutted that UK isn't on there yet but hopefully it will be soon. Or it would be even better if the merch on the French shop was also on the UK one, at least shipping would be cheaper! I would absolutely love the notebook, but being such a precious item (to me at least) I'd never use it! 😅
  7. No, I don't know anyone who attended 😅 I guess I'm just reminded of a small production I got the chance to see filmed some time ago (it was a small local event here in Yorkshire), I honestly thought everyone in the crowd were all ordinary members of the public but some had been invited by agents to make up the numbers I guess. The Piano team might not have gone down that route after all, even though there were posts on Twitter it might have also been advertised locally in London. Besides, it's not like London train stations are ever empty!
  8. I'd imagine it was done through the crew of the TV production team to contact anyone they know in the area to be there. Of course ordinary people and commuters passing through would have probably stopped to watch as well but I would expect the team would want to create the feel of having a small audience. I can't be 100% sure how it will look on TV, but when it airs it might look as though a small crowd is already placed there to watch, but in fact it's slightly "staged" with the people who were invited. This is fairly common with outdoor TV productions. Saying that, with the massive success of The Piano here I'd expect a small audience could easily be created with just members of the public already there too. I also saw the posts on Twitter so some may have gone on the off chance of seeing it filmed if they had the time. Certainly makes me wish I was back in London!
  9. Yep! Some people were invited to watch if they were close enough to the train station or able to get there in time.
  10. Wish I had a 'good morning' face like that when I get up early! 😅
  11. Feel like this is right up @dcdebs street! As for myself I'd like to take part but I'm not too sure if nervousness would get the better of me. I'm the kind of person that thinks I sound good when I sing but I'm pretty sure if anyone else heard me, I'd probably sound like a wailing cat 😅 (ok so I'm not that bad but I won't be getting a record deal anytime soon). I also don't speak French. I know Mika says neither of those things matter and I could always lipsync too but I'm just not sure this contest is for me. Good luck to everyone taking part though!
  12. From Tous avec les Bleus, Paris, France, 12 October.
  13. Their largest size is available, I'm so tempted to order and just have all the cheese to myself. ALL. THE. CHEESE!!!
  14. Really?! I never knew, and I love Red Leicester too! Maybe my taste buds are a bit off today Not yet, it is another cheese I'd like to try! Especially after seeing someone make parmesan crisps on TV, they looked yummy!
  15. That's what it said on the packet. I was wondering this. It didn't seem all that expensive for a "specially selected" cheese. I guess you really do get what you pay for! Texture was similar to cheddar, but it was only after I looked at the packaging before putting the rest in the bin that I noticed it's made with unpasteurised milk! (Yuck! ) Maybe that has something to do with the taste 🤔
  16. I tried comté today... and I don't like it! Which I'm quite surprised at because I do like other nutty cheeses but the comté I tried was a bit too creamy and a little bitter. Just not to my taste really.
  17. Just had that exact email sent to me now! Not really sure why when I already had the previous email with the new dispatch date anyway
  18. I feel the same. I'm looking to go over to Bluesky at some point. As for Threads I think you can access it with a VPN if you're willing to use one.
  19. Thanks, I am trying to stay positive about the situation. I'm regularly checking re-sales on ticketmaster and also here on the extra ticket thread. Who knows, something might just come up! 😊
  20. Very glad you've created this thread @QueenBigFat I feel like it's a topic many Mika fans will be able to discuss and express their own stories of life changing Mika moments. As for myself, where do I start?! (I feel like this is a thread I'll keep popping back into to). Well the beginning is a good a place to start as any, so I shall start there! I was horrifically bullied from primary school and through to secondary school. For a long time I didn't have much in ways of releasing my emotions, I really didn't know how to express myself and open up to others. I also didn't like music that much when I was younger (shock horror I know!), there just wasn't anything out at the time that grabbed my attention! Certainly nothing substantial enough that I could relate to anyway. All of that changed in 2007. Secondary School bullying was WILD. Anything unusual or different that the bullies could pick up on was pretty much all the ammunition they needed to throw back in my face. I found very little escape from it. However, LICM came along and my life was truly changed. It took me a while to truly appreciate every song on the album but the ones that struck me straight away were Billy Brown, Stuck in the Middle and Lollipop. Now I was a rather naive child at the time, I didn't know what Lollipop was about at first but for me it became my anti-bullying song! Whenever I had a bad day I would listen to that song over and over again in an attempt to block out the hateful things I'd heard from the bullies. At home I would play LICM from beginning to end and dance around my room, I'd finally found a release for all the bad things that were happening and listening to music, MIKA'S music made me happy in a way that I couldn't experience at school. (Discovering Mika also opened the door for other musical experiences too, I wouldn't be without music in my life now!). I soon realised that here was a guy who was putting his life story into song and I began to take more notice of the lyrics and create my own interpretations too. LICM was like a comfort blanket for me, never before had I felt such a strong relateble connection to an artist. I was hooked on the magic of Mika, his words, his openness and his honesty. It really was a life changing moment discovering him or I should say thank God he came into my life at the right time!
  21. Thinking about it now, it might be a bit much! I'd rather see Mika in a ball pool, at least that way I can join in too!
  22. I know he's talking to Dickie here: But Mika in speedos, now there's something I can visualise too!
  23. Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience @mellody! Even if I had time to prepare I still think I'd loose all confidence in front of Mika and become a blubbering mess! Your time with him really does sound like a dream but a dream come true!
  24. RING RING *Mika calls*: "Prisca I'm concerned, you haven't posted in this thread since February 2022!"
