His house is beautiful! š I want to be there so bad! His style of decor is similar to how I would love my own house to be, if only my Mum would let me š I love the organised randomness of it all!- 1,743 replies

Say Something Random pt. 29 ~ Because why not
TinyLove_CJ replied to We-Are-Golden's topic in General Chin Wagging
Just over 7 months since my last post here about spider Tiny Tim and I finally saw him again today! (I always assume it's the same spider even if it might not be š ) I can now confirm that he his definitely male! Male jumping spiders tend to be darker along the back whereas females are lighter all over. Glad to see he's still around. He doesn't bother me and I don't bother him. But I'd prefer it if he stayed away from my clothes! Might have to start charging him rent if he stays any longer... -

MFC has all the episodes with English subtitles (and other languages too I think), follow this link, scroll down to 2016 for series 1 and 2017 for series 2: The password for them is Underwater. https://www.mikafanclub.com/topic/32471-the-mfc-subtitling-teams-subtitled-videos/#comment-4047573 I'm pairing my smart phone to a chrome cast device so me and my Mum can watch on TV! -
Say Something Random pt. 29 ~ Because why not

Finally started my Stasera Casa Mika Marathon with my Mum at the weekend! And it really is going to be a marathon because we only had time to watch the first 2 episodes! So at that rate (and only watching on the weekends) we won't be done until 23/04! Means I can stretch out my Mum's reaction to it over time. So far she likes it! Reading the subtitles while concentrating on Mika took some getting used to for her, but for some of the guests that talk too fast I don't think my Mum bothers reading them. Also Mum thought Mika's dogs might have been stunt doubles, because Mika's dogs are special celebrity dogs that might not want to appear on TV! š Watching the first episode also makes me appreciate more why Mika agreed to do The Piano. Meeting musicians who think they're being filmed for a documentary? Check! Giving them a chance to perform on his show, no competition? Check! Perform Grace Kelly and explain the whole 'one note' thing? Check! š It's so similar! And now I look forward to my weekends! (because I usually hate weekends š) -

Can't find anywhere that offers international shipping for the DVD, if it's only going to be a French release (or released in French speaking countries), is there a Mika fan who would be willing to get me a copy? Will happily pay for the item and postage! Still hoping it gets an international release though! šš» š¤

Already mentioned the film 'Finch' in another thread but one of the scenes in the film is all about cheese, so of course I have to talk about it here! š Hopefully not spoiling too much for anyone that hasn't seen the film but throughout it there's a running joke that the sky "is like Swiss cheese". Finch is looking for food while explaining the damaged ozone layer to his robot friend. The robot takes it literally and keeps looking up at the sky for the cheese! š Couldn't help but think of this thread when I watched it. š§

I have a free trial for Apple TV so decided to watch a couple of their films the other day. The first being 'Finch'. I highly recommend this film, I think it's one of my favourite Tom Hanks film so far. In Finch, Tom Hanks is the only human actor and once again his acting is superb! The only other characters are two robots and a very good dog. I didn't expect to be crying at this film but for anyone else watching it I would have your tissues ready! It's very heartwarming and sad in places, but the comedy aspect surprisingly comes from the robot, not Hanks. Definitely a laugh-while-crying kind of film. Another film I watched is Wolfwalkers. It just has everything I absolutely love: wolves, strong females, friendship and did I mention the wolves? š For me it's perfect in every way, the animation is beautiful and the story isn't overly complicated. Also has a very satisfying ending that made me want to jump into the screen and join them! If anyone is into Irish folklore or simply loves wolves then this film is for you! It is on Apple TV but it also recently got a DVD release in a trilogy collection of the other Cartoon Saloon films, which I would also recommend watching! (Song of the Sea and Secret of the Kells).

Told my Mum about this dream and all she asked me about was "what was the blanket like?" š So for anyone else wondering, the blanket was blue and a soft type of fleece! The dream also continued but without Mika. I joined a group of people saving a girl from the dragon and the leader of this group was called Twinkle! š
-
My dream was a bit all over the place last night but Mika was in it! I lived in a large walled city with strict rules that people weren't allowed out past the walls at night. I wanted to get out because the dragon overlord of the city was going to sacrifice a young girl (I can't remember why). I was looking for my Mum so we could leave together and started looking round a crowded courtyard area, I got distracted by Claudia Winkleman walking past me so I decided to follow her instead. I lost where Claudia went but then saw Mika with a small group of people heading into a side room of a library. Of course I started to follow him instead! But someone locked the door behind him so I couldn't see what was going on at that point. There was an adjoining room to Mika's that had a shared window along the top of one wall, luckily that room was open and I went in thinking I could stand on something to look at Mika through the window. There were a few students in that room either reading or using computers and I suddenly felt embarrassed because I was wearing my short cactus pajamas* , so I just sat down in a corner on my own and waited to see if Mika would come out. (the other students didn't seem to care about my pajamas). After a short while me and the students all looked up because we could hear tapping on the window, it was Mika looking into our room and waving at us! Through the glass we could just make out that he was saying "I'm bored." He very quickly came over to our room to chat to us. He said he'd turned the other room into a studio and was working on the melody of a new single, which he hoped to have released soon! I was annoyed I didn't have my phone on me but a girl started taking lots of pictures of everyone with Mika and said she would send them to me. I started to feel tired and sat back down for a nap and Mika brought me a big soft blanket! š„ŗ He left after that. I remember he was wearing a royal blue suit and had very curly hair, so not a bad dream at all! *very real pajamas that I have, and they are quite short!

Say Something Random pt. 29 ~ Because why not
TinyLove_CJ replied to We-Are-Golden's topic in General Chin Wagging
Yes, Agents of Shield is what I meant, for me around series 3 just got really boring. Mum has promised a Disney+ subscription so I probably will go back and watch it to the end this time! (and there is an unspoken agreement amongst Marvel fans that we DON'T talk about Inhumans š) Disney+ also means The Mandalorian so I'm looking forward to that! š All of BSG is on BBC Iplayer, and my Mum has watched it before but I haven't. Once I have more free time I'd love to watch it all too! I also love dark fantasy, I watched The Originals a while ago and I'm watching The Vampire Diaries now (yes I know I got the order wrong š ). The Vampire Diaries isn't as dark as The Originals but I'm enjoying it. Would love to watch Hannibal but I don't think my Mum will sit and watch that with me. I'd love to know any other horror shows that people can recommend! -

Even though it's finished now my absolute favourite TV show is His Dark Materials. I have so much love for the cast, production team and writers, it was adapted beautifully! There's rumour that Philip Pullman's 'Book of Dust' will get adapted in the future, I certainly hope so! I don't watch a great deal of TV shows actually on TV, I tend to go through box sets every so often instead. I've yet to delve into Marvel (apart from SHIELD, which went down hill very fast š). I'm going through the DC Universe of stuff first. Arrow is my favourite so far and after The Flash I'll go onto Supergirl. I'm a total geek so anything either fantasy or sci-fi is right up my street! -

When I watched it before I found series 4 slightly confusing and a little boring, who knows I might change my mind this time around! (or not... š ) I have Running Home to You on my phone but have to be in the right mood to listen to it. -

Binge watching The Flash again and in series 3 the character H.R often says this little rhyme: "If a string is in a knot, patience will untie it. Patience can do lots of things, have you ever tried it?" I love this little poem as I think it can apply to all Mika fans! š -
