    Mika might not necessarily be live in the studio, I think the last time he was on the show (talking about Eurovison) it was through a video live chat. Still nice to see him promoting The Piano though! 😊

    I've been wondering for ages if Caro Emerald would release new music, her social media has been quiet for such a long time that for a while I was googling "Caro Emerald news" at least once a week, only to find nothing under that name... Turns out that quite a few months ago Caro reinvented herself as The Jordan and she released a new album under that name only 4 days ago! I've given it a listen and it's very different from what she used to do. No more upbeat jazz songs. Her new album Nowhere Near the Sky is more moody and the lyrics are very honest and open about what she's been through in the last few years. In interviews she's been asked a lot why the sudden change, all she says is "listen to the album", apparently Caro has been working on moving away from who she was for the last 6 years and she's now with new management too. I get the impression that she felt trapped previously, always made to sound and look a certain way, now she's finally able to be her true self. I'm actually not that keen on her new music, I think because it's so different from what I'm used to it's hard now listening to it and thinking "oh wait, this is Caro Emerald now, but also not?!" From her new album there are only 2 songs that I do like: Best Damn Day I'm Not Sorry You can listen to the whole album here: I still live Caro's back catalogue of music but it might take me a while for her new music to grow on me.

    So I was right all along that Nomfundo is singing in Zulu! It's a lovely language and I'm glad she was allowed to use it for this song and that the production company didn't think it needed to be all in English to appeal to western media. It's certainly more authentic this way and gives it a true African feeling.

    I ordered a few things from my friends Etsy and he's more than happy to take doodle requests, so of course I requested a dromedary! I wasn't sure what to expect as his art style is, shall we say, a little chaotic... but boy did he deliver! 😁 This is my friends' wolf character that has been turned into a dromedary (don't ask 😅) This little card was hidden inside with another dromedary doodle, he doesn't look too pleased... And on the other side of the card is this doodle, it's a true masterpiece and deserves to be framed! My friend knows I'm a Mika fan but I don't think he gets the whole 'Mika + Camel' obsession so I would love to have seen his reaction when he saw my doodle request! I have a feeling he would be so confused!

    I wouldn't mind watching Big Fish again, I remember watching it when I was younger (probably too young) and finding it quite sad, but now I think I'd appreciate the story more. There are 3 seasons of GLOW, they're all on Netflix which was supposed to renew the show for season 4 but due to lack of funds during the pandemic it did get cancelled 🙁. It's something I would be interested in watching too! (maybe Mika likes it because one if the actresses is called Alison Brie! ) Mika doesn't have to recommend this to me, this is a film I've watched countless times and never get bored of! It's up there as one of my favourites and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else! 😁 I can imagine Mika is a fan of all the Ghibli films!

    It really is! I know they use songs that wouldn't have been around during WWII but the music works perfectly! I quite like the German version of Heroes too!

    I just watched JoJo Rabbit (it's available on All4 right now), I've been meaning to watch it ever since Mika gave it a mention. I've seen trailers previously and often seen it described as a comedy-drama, but boy I was NOT prepared for what I just saw! I won't spoil it for anyone but I'm telling you now to have some tissues ready. It's a masterfully written story and one of the best I've seen in a long time.

    Thanks! 😊 With the line "Think about her", makes me wonder who the song is about? 🤔 Or it could just be meant in general terms about a relationship? (look at me already analysing this song and I've only heard a few lines 😅) Get the feeling this will be a happy song!

    I just don't think I could cope with up to 5 hours of travel with too many changes. There is a coach from Leeds that claims to take 4 and a half hours (one rest stop) buuuuuut I hate coaches! When it comes to travel I need to put my health first. Cost is another issue. I'd be looking at the same price for travel too and I can't imagine accommodation near the venue will be cheap. I can't justify spending so much just to go to Cheltenham. I'd rather wait and see (with hope and patience!) if Mika will do something closer to me and then it really will be worth it!

    She's a DJ certainly not an acclaimed pianist 🙃. I wouldn't be surprised if the article was rushed by a journalist with a strict deadline, they probably had her name and Lang Lang ready to copy but they got mixed up. Still a bad mistake for Daily Mirror! The articles in the magazines I got also contradict each other when it comes to the contestants ages, one says the youngest is 9 years old while another says 11 and when it comes to the oldest contestant one magazine says it's a 90 year old yet another says 94 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    In the Instagram Live today someone (sorry I can't remember their name) was saying that Mika's soundtrack should be played live with an orchestra. And I'm just thinking how awesome that would be and it's possibly do-able. There's been symphonic concerts recently to honour Joe Hisaishi (Studio Ghibli), where his music is played in a theatre to various scenes from the movies he's worked on (there's a screen set up on the stage), this is done with a live orchestra in the theatre and special guests are also there to talk about the films. Imagine if something like that could be done with Zodi et Téhu! Watching it at the cinema is one thing but to hear the soundtrack live while the movie is playing and also have Mika there to discuss the music would be truly magical! This has surely got to happen one day!

    I honestly thought Cheltenham was fairly close to where I am, but no, by train I'm looking at 4+ hours of travel and that's using 3 trains It's not impossible but I don't think I could cope with that level of stress with all the train changes. It's actually easier for me to get to London compared to going to Cheltenham 🙃 I just wish train services in the North would have better connections.
