  1. Oh I’m sure I’d love to talk to you about exactly that ☺️
  2. I love this, this is why I want to learn more languages ❤️
  3. It first appeared French to me, but when you said Italian I just looked it up: it’s the same word in both French and Italian! Random fact 😆
  4. As a new fan, I wasn’t aware that “not knowing where Mika is” is practically a permanent state of mind 🤣 oh my, sure keeps it exciting! It needed Corona to tame the traveling spirit for just a few months, but it seems he wants to break free 😉
  5. Love these so so much!! 🌸 When Garou was part of the team they had pretty awesome covers as well. My all time favorite is actually when they sing Vieille Canaille 🎉 but all of them sound so so well together, I am so looking forward to those performances. I really hope they will take place!!
  6. I also loved their coversongs together. I really hope they will do that this time as well, despite Corona! We want to see Mika perform! Even if it’s with 4 other people and not his own songs. I’m not going to be picky!
  7. Oh whoah. And in no time he will juggle Montreal and Paris 😅 busy man!!!
  8. But X Factor is still going. This will coincide with his Montreal and current X factor schedule, won’t it?
  9. Manuel: MIKA! MIKA!! Mika: *deer in headlights* *laughs in relief they’re not headlights*
  10. Aww, that is so sweet. Maybe he didn’t feel good about the typo, but now everyone is going to talk about it more since he deleted it 🙈 it’s so sweet, wish he kept it in his stories!
  11. What I love about Mika is that he seems to invests in the contestants and gives them a bigger picture. X Factor is meant to be fast paced and commercially successful overnight and he doesn’t give into that. Not all the way at least - I mean, he does know how the business works. I think if he would be granted more time that in the end his coaching would take longer, but his contestants would truly find their genuine inner selves as an artist. Maybe not just commercially successful to the full extent, but authentic.
  12. I love how he says “again” with an Italian accent 😆
  13. Obviously running to his dressing room to put on his mask! What else 😷
  14. He looks happy after the show, guess they’re still friends? 😆
  15. Ohhh I’ve just found this topic! I always wondered what Mika considered his first language, in what language he dreams and what language he curses in 🤣 Then I figured, it is probably not very different as to how I experience it in my own situation. Speaking German, Dutch and English myself. I mix all words, accents, cadence of the sentence depending on where I am or whom I’m speaking to. And if I’m tired it can be a mess 😉 My native language is Dutch and was raised bilingually Dutch/English, but I live in Germany and dream mostly in German. When I curse it really depends on how pissed off I am. Mildly pissed: German, when I’m mad: English, when I’m furious: Dutch 🤣 When intense emotions come into play, then you know what you consider as your native language!! But that only holds true for me 😆 So what language does Mika curse in??
  16. Maybe a bit off topic, but can I just say that it makes me happy there is a younger generation out there that is aware of these things? That in an uncensored world that is social media there is somewhat of an etiquette being established, slowly but surely. This is of course everyone’s job as human beings, not just the younger generation. But as a mother I don’t want my children to be blatantly unaware. And I’m happy to see that those who grow up with social media, aren’t blatantly unaware. It still makes me anxious when I think of my children joining social media one day, but I have a little bit more faith in humanity now. From the parent’s perspective: it is my job to be an example, not only to my own children but all children/people. And it will also be my job to teach my children how to filter social media themselves. How to not only have morals and values outside but also on social media. I think this is a general ground we all agree on, regardless of age.
  17. Quintessence is that we actually all agree across all ages 😊 I’ve just realized that it’s very possible that all participants in this discussion are not the targeted audience you are referring to. Because like you say, it is most probably a small part of the fans who does this inappropriately. I’m confused here, what is the reasoning? Other than the mere fact that Mika is a handsome man?
  18. Well, to be fair, older people don’t necessarily know better. I will give you a couple of examples outside of social media: You know that aunt or even grandma that is totally embarrassing at parties? Making inappropriate comments (no filter comments, rather) and dancing wildly and in a very embarrassing way as to have no shame? The one you probably need to cut off the alcohol for the rest of the night? My perspective as a 20 year old me: OMG I will NEVER do that when I’m that old!! My perspective as a 36 year old me: party on! Have the time of your life! I respect you for feeling no shame and living your best life; as long as you don’t mean harm. Or another example: when you go out and you see “all of these old women, probably 30 or something, dancing on tables and embarrassing themselves, drinking way too much” My perspective as a 20 year old me: OMG they should know better, don’t they have any self respect!? My perspective as a 36 year old me: maaaake room, I need to show my moves on that table ya’ll! I only do this maybe once a year and I need to make it count!! Older is not the wiser. At all. We’re just all winging it like you. We just have more years of falling flat on our face to make different choices. But back to the social media part of it: anonymity makes it helluva lot easier to blatantly blurt out anything you want. Without being reprimanded. I honestly don’t think hormones are an excuse, because frankly some will never grow out of it. As mentioned above, it may even become worse with some. This is also not an excuse. It is purely an observation I have made in my own walk of life. But being aware of eachother’s perspective is always good and makes one more mindful of the other.
