Do you think the MFC is too negative about Mika?

  1. 1. Do you think the MFC is too negative about Mika?

    • Yes - Whenever I log on there's always someone critisizing him and his alledged actions etc
      28
    • No - People should be able to air their concerns and Mika/his team should listen & learn
      55
    • Hmmm - it seems pretty balanced to me.....there are plenty of goods things said as well as bad

    • I don't care - I just come on here to socialise with all my MFC friends

I will never stop liking him:wub2: much less loving him!

whooooooo A year later and my face still has this ridiculous smile plastered onto it whenever I think of him *sigh*

MIKA-2.jpg

It seems kinda ridiculous to me sometimes that people come on here, MIKA'S FANCLUB who admit that they DON'T LIKE HIM anymore...not just, "Oh, well the obsessions died down" It's just pure and simple "DON'T LIKE"

Well ok than, why not catch up with your pals on msn or yahoo... We don't need that kind of energy.

That photo is lovely Melanie :wub2:

People have been saying that? Eek. That's a shame, but hey there loss right :wink2: I personally don't think there's any artist better that has that kind of personality and talent.. plus other great things :naughty:

I know! I just don't get it.........if they've gone off him (weirdos! :naughty:) then just don't visit the MFC!

Apparently, by not critisising him I am living in a fantasy world and need to get real! Also, I'm considered and sickly sweet for saying nice stuff about him.......mmmmm!

I'm neither of the above and manage to be both realistic about him and nice!

What a crazy idea huh??!!

And than, look at the experiences you've had! I mean you've witnessed some of the sweetest sides of Mika I'm sure. Mine was one display of affection that I will never forget, but yours was I'm sure INSANE! So, after that, its impossible not to support him. Sometimes I think people are just bitter.

And the collective "they" come on here to chat about randomness... and somehow forget the reason for why they've made friendships...

I said it last night... Mika is a bridge between nations.

I don't care if you're turned off by his music now or decide you're gonna be all cool:newyear: and sarcastic about him...but don't forget that he's the reason for alot of good in your life and that at some point he inspired you to be or do something great.

Well I've made the point elsewhere that for someone who has met him/been around him on a few occasions :wink2: as well as met his family/friends/band.....I don't act like I've got inside info, I don't try to throw my weight around and I am descrete about what I say.

There are other though would feel like they are better than the rest becuase of having the same kind of experiences.

Someone tried to say that I didn't know what I was talking about when I said that there seem to be some people who just get close to everyone vaguely connected to Mika just to get closer to him. They said that maybe I'd be like that IF I ever met him or the people around him! It shocked me! I mean, I do talk about it when it comes up but just because I'm not in the little gang it was presumed that I wasn't talking from experience!

My experiences of meeting him and being involved with the video and the documentary have literally changed my life..............but I still manage to keep sane and not expect anything from him other than a CD and a few gigs here and there!

What I'd like and what I expect are totally different and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If he even attempted to befriend everyone who's had some kind of experience with him he'd never get to do anything else!

He's unique and lovely and he's doing just fine in my eyes. :wub2:

BRAVO!

We all hope for some grand experiences, but I still find myself thriving on the first Mika gig :blush-anim-cl: I went too...and somehow it's all I need to remind me of that feeling.

He is one of a kind :)

Someone said yesterday, I think it was Findingmywords

The MFC is one of a kind and the reason why we are here is one of a kind...

something like that...it's true :D

I, for one, am one of the people who will state my case when Mika does something that, IMHO, could be done better. It's no secret that I've been somewhat critical about certain aspects of his web strategy, for example.

That said...

I absolutely freakin' love this man. There's none other like him. Not even close.

I was at a gig tonight for a band that I've been a fan of for, like, ever. Like 15 years. And it was a great gig, great crowd, and I was front row. It rocked.

But damn - it wasn't Mika. For me, Mika is so far at the top, he can barely see the competition below him.

*sappiness, fangurly warning - cynics, you've been warned!*

:blush-anim-cl:

No one writes like Mika. No one puts quite the time and effort into shows like Mika - inflatable pizza, anyone? No one else sings in Mika's rich, full voice - that voice that's like the most decadent chocolate espresso swirl, perfectly satisfying yet not too sweet, hitting just that one spot that only he can hit. No one else can replicate that mindblowing falsetto that makes the tiny hairs on the back of my neck stand up. No one smiles like Mika. No one thinks, dreams and performs like Mika. No one else has created such a magical world that has linked friends and opened hearts and bewitched souls in every corner of our planet.

I still think that for all the thousands of years of human history, we're pretty freakin' lucky to be witnessing this amazing man's amazing rise to fame.

I <3 you, Mika. And I hope all your dreams come true. :blush-anim-cl:

That's on my mind at every concert I go to. It's not so much that I think Mika's music or singing is so much more superior to other artists. It's just the whole concert going experience cannot be matched. Even Mika's own recorded music and video cannot come close to replicating the experience of being in the same room with him when he performs.

Beatifully expressed. The Mika experience needs so many words to attempt to express it that it is seen by some as sappiness or gushiness...........but it is just so 'out-there' compared to everything else.

I've been very into other bands/sings over the years but no-one has made me want to change my life and actually insipred me to do things I'm doing now.....it is the magic of Mika...:wub2:

True. My fave song has always been Love Today but when I watched it evolve from a replica of the recorded version to the affair that it is today I was blown away that it just got better and better (and I'm someone who likes the live version record perfect because I love to sing along and hate it when it's different and I falter) it sets my heart racing everytime I hear those opening notes. :wub2:

I constantly sing the do, do dadi dadi dooms on a loop until people around me what to hurt me with sharp objects! :roftl::roftl::roftl:

I feel this place should be the antidote for some of the other threads on this site at the moment!

I didn't go to a gig this week.......didn't go to a meet and greet........didn't say hi to my inspiration.........didn't get to get a photo (or not!) with him......etc......

I don't feel any less in awe of his creativity and talent.

He's still my No1. :wub2:
