Wow, these guys are good!

When introduced to other artists or people in general trying to mimic Mika I always use to think: Don’t do Mika whatever you do! It will never be good!:wink2:

But this vocalist really have a capacity to match Mika!

Not as good of course, he’s not the man himself, but as good as it gets and definitely one of the best “covers” I have heard!:wub2:

I stayed and listened to a couple of their other songs to and I think their secret to success is to have a vocalist and let the choir “comp” (sorry, can’t find the English word) in the background.

The audience made a lot of noise, I don’t know if that is bad or good, probably good!

Thanks for posting!:thumb_yello:

saw it this morn, but could not log in from work :teehee::blush-anim-cl:

the version's grand! the lead singer's falsetto cannot keep up with mika's, but he's got a very nice voice and all the ensemble is pretty good.

thanks for sharing and do let mika know about it. I'm sure he'll be pleased. :thumb_yello:

A studio version of Grace Kelly is expected to be included on The Yale Spizzwinks(?) next album, Cause for Alarm. I have heard a pre-release version and it's fantastic, even better than the live version on YouTube. The album is also expected to include an a cappella version of Billie Jean which has become one of the most popular videos on the group's YouTube channel.

Thank you chaucer51 for posting this.

I didn't see this when it was posted in May.

Brennan's performance is brilliant.

I hope someone did send it to Mika.

If not - someone with a twitter account PLEASE send it to him with the info about the new album.

I think Mika would really appreciate Brennan & the choir's singing of Grace Kelly.

I will put it on MikaSounds hoping Mika reads most things there like he said this week in an interview.

This version has now become the most popular a cappella cover version of Grace Kelly on YouTube. The studio version can be heard in the music player located at http://www.facebook.com/spizzwinks and the album is available at http://www.yalespizzwinks.org/winkipedia/album.php?Year=2009. The album also includes a cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean which has over 53,000 YouTube views at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSLwzXe6DDQ. Enjoy.

The soloist is now a member of the Whiffenpoofs of Yale University, who will be performing "Grace Kelly" on NBC's "The Sing-Off" premiering on December 6, 2010 in the U.S. Here is a teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu9p36dictk.

Oh nice, is this going to be a regular series?

Interesting that they do Mika's live version and not the recorded version with the "mad, mad, mad, mad".
