I love that one because: 1. At aprox.5:10 he seems to be ready to take off. 2.the way he says "hiding" 3.at 6:03 ("I was a boy" ) he seems pretty touched by that verse and dammit! He can't STAY STILL!!! (which brings back memories of my unsuccessful attemps of taking one good pic of him at the gig but he would never stay looks like only in my pic with him got to stay still a little I made him stay still! ) and my guess on "running": "Running around again/ Running from hiding" ? "g" and "b" are pretty solid consonants, and I'm just not hearing that when I listen to it closely. And I really think I hear "m" sounds on the bit I thought was "my mind". I've even used software to slow it down but it's a weird file format - I'ma convert it to MP3 and upload just the slowed-down bridge for your listening pleasure. I suppose I won't be convinced either way until we get some nice footage of him singing those lines, and can read his lips. Is he doing it again... just change lyrics whenever he feels like it. I wouldn't be surprised. On the studio version I'm just not hearing "staying out of motion" no matter how hard I squeeze my eyes shut and try to hear it. If I hadn't heard the acoustic version, I'd be willing to bet half my confetti collection that there's an "r" sound in there, and that the words are "staring at." Yup, it was nice and clear on the live version, even if I still don't hear it on the recorded clip. Same with with "staying out of motion" bit. I can't wait to hear it live and in person. I think you nailed the lyrics, Mana -- and I guess "many years have gone by..." is what he sings in the original version, too.
