Yeah ... I've not booked anywhere yet ... can't really afford to until the end of February ... due to some curly haired bloke I seem to be following around the country ... I shall be ... broke ... ish ..... :lmfao:

I'm up for sharing with whoever though ... first trip abroad and all that ... so don't certainly want to stay on my own :aah:

We should all stay in the same hotel, if it's possible.

i'd also love to know if anyone has decided on a hotel yet... i've looked, but couldn't really find anything affordable, so i was thinking that i might come with the night train, party the night through after the gig and leave again at 6 am. :dunno: it's a quite stressful option, but as i should soon book my trains, i'd really love to know if there's an alternative to this that i can afford.

I don't think everyone has booked hotels yet, I know Laurel and I haven't, so if a few of us get together, share rooms, keep the costs down?

I know of a few hostels... no idea what they're like but I guess they won't be too expensive.

http://www.stayokay.com There's a couple of those, just search for Amsterdam and you'll probably find them (I think there's one in/near Vondelpark which I'd recommend because it's a beautiful park and close to Leidsesquare)

http://www.flyingpig.nl There's 2 of those but the one on Nieuwendijk is really close to the Central Station which might be convenient I guess?

http://www.bobsyouthhostel.nl I think this one is a bit odd bc you can't make a booking, you just have to knock on the door and ask if they have vacant rooms

http://www.hostelcosmos.com This one's also right in the center so should be easy to find and stuff

Hope that helps!

No, not at all, but the venue is a kind of suburb and quite frankly nothing is close to it except for the football stadium, a cinema and Ikea. But you can take a tube/train/bus directly to the central station from the station near the venue (takes probably about 25 minutes) and from there you can walk to most of those hostels

Thanks Babz!

We should take the address of the just-knock-on-the-door-one just in case...

edit: on 2nd thought, after visiting their website.....probably not my idea of a nice place to sleep.....

I quit like the flying pig one tho...
