I love the whole mood of the house and the gig. And Jimmy telling Mika to pipe down because he's busy complimenting Cherisse. Basically small, yes. Like in the house with no space at all to jump around. Basic. No dustbins, no death march. Seated venue, preferably assigned seating. 100% acoustic Relax. Or if that is not the correct term for what I mean: No jumping on the piano during the song, no splitting it up into slow and upbeat part. I loved the club shows, I love what I saw of the arena tour so far, I'm still very smitten with what he did with the King's singers @Union Chapel and I still think the 'acoustic' show he did in Berlin started out promising. I like everything big he does and I love anything visual about his shows but above all I'm in love with his versatility. But he doesn't have to show it ALL at every show. I wouldn't mind him to get the guts back to show how he can do just as well if you give him not a lot more than a piano. clownfish Posted May 1, 2010 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I really enjoyed this! It's so nice to see an acoustic set from Mika because his musicianship really stands out. In a way, I kind of wish all his live shows were more about his music and less visuals (although I really like those too) because he has so much charisma he really can just sit or stand there and still be amazing. I certainly don't need it for an acoustic show. I like it for the big shows, though, yet I prefer the colorful confetti. But really, confetti at a concert, that's not anything unique anymore. When the last acoustic tour had been going on for a few weeks we were back to the confetti rain etc, at Sadlers Wells... Oh a surprise would be nice...I have some suggestions.... I know what you mean, I love jazz too, well at least some of it. It has been my greatest experiences with Mika's music when he has done improvisations and is just playing with the music.
