Kodes, how about asking civilly -- "Hey Nono (or some other moderator), would you mind adding the other youtube videos to the front page, too?" My mum always said you get more flies with honey than vinegar. We don't always add videos by non-MFCers to the front page, btw. Usually there are plenty from MFCers so we don't need to. We can, and we have done it when there aren't that many MFC videos, but it's not something we HAVE to do. Also, back on topic: Has anyone seen this? As to why I wasn't "more polite" could it be the "look again" comment? I will continue this conversation with you privately. You don't "have" to include non-MFC vids. Yes, it definitely is, but these are gig report threads, for reports FROM MFCers who were at a Mika gig. That's why the focus is generally on reports, photos and videos made by MFCers, not from complete strangers. Since we're (ostensibly) a community, these threads are about us sharing our personal experiences with each other. The idea being that these photos and videos and reports are more meaningful to us because we know many of the people involved, we have MET many of the people involved. daisylou Posted May 6, 2010 Share Posted May 6, 2010 Heck, I'm getting way behind here! Didn't get round to commenting on Paris yet and now I'm back from Nice already! Maybe I'll just wait till 2011 and review the whole Imaginarium tour at once... But, well, Paris/Nice: Paris 26th was my birthday and Mr Enigma was with me. He was not inclined to sit on the ground in the blazing sun in a queue for 12 hours as he wanted to take me out for lunch, bless him , so I was about 5th row. The following night I was even later because we were having too much fun in Paris in the sun, so ended up somewhere right in the middle of the venue! It's rare for me to be that far back and it was interesting to get a different perspective, and it was from there that I realised just how well the planets set works. Seen from a long way back, you really need a show as spectacular and visual as that, and it works brilliantly on so many levels. The first night was great, and the second - although there were more mistakes - had an even better atmosphere, everyone was really so up for it. It was, however, incredibly hot in the venue, especially in the middle of the crowd, and people were being carried out all over the place, poor things. I haven't had time to read all of this thread but as being on the first page I felt the need to post. Intro + Relax still processing while writing Stuck in The Middle Any Other World with close ups Funeral March + beginning of Love Today with close ups Talking + Over My Shoulder with close ups Good Gone Girl Talking + La Solitude + Grace Kelly with close ups Touches You I'll catch up with the thread and post my report asap Great show as usual, 3rd show in a row and he was tired, but his voice wasn't affected much.I was listening to him in awe, especially the slower songs, this guy makes me feel in heaven Watching the new show for the second time, I could appreciate it even more; although I'm a fan of acoustic gigs (you know what I mean ), I must confess that the new show won my heart: spectacular, scenographic, amusing, full of surprises….. I'm really in love with the planets! I like GGG with Ida very much and all the new arrangements. This was my first French gig and I loved him talking and singing in French: I adored La Solitude not so much Grace Kelly half in French half in English Oh after a couple of songs he was already soaking wet, it was terribly hot inside! One thing really surprised me: I expected a warmer audience in France i sang my lungs out and danced involving other people, and i think I was the only one singing and dancing to Kick ass up there Although I loved and enjoyed the Nice show very much, Milan was something else, magical indeed! I managed to say hi to him afterwards and must say that every time it's a very special moment It was lovely seeing again whom I already knew and meeting others for the first time; meeting in person allows us to know each other better Marina, the vids are brill and so is your report.
