The French-Lebanese singer and former jury member on The Voice France is fluent in both French and English, and can also speak Spanish and Italian. “When I’m happy, the language that comes to me naturally is French,” he said, sitting front row at the Viktor & Rolf couture show on Tuesday. “When I’m mad or extremely concentrated, I speak English. And I always write songs in English.” The singer, who is currently on a world tour and will be releasing a new E.P. this spring, reminisced about his one-of-a-kind Italian lessons. “I held this sort of audition where I went looking for the best Italian teachers around, and a Sicilian woman turned up on my doorstep,” he recalled. “It was her first day in Britain and she had never left Italy. She didn’t speak a word of English. I hired her in thirty minutes.” His new teacher then joined him on his world tour, during which they spoke Italian together “from the morning coffee to the evening whisky,” he said. Il a d'abord assisté à celui de Valentino, puis a acclamé Jean Paul Gaultier pour ses adieux à la Haute Couture. La Fashion Week de Paris arrive à son terme, au grand dam des amoureux de mode. Mika fait partie de ces passionnés, il a regoûté à la ferveur de cette folle semaine. Mercredi 22 janvier 2020, le chanteur a enchaîné trois deux défilés ! Le premier, par Viktor & Rolf, avait lieu à la Gaîté Lyrique. Mika y a notamment croisé Baptiste Giabiconi, puis a poursuivi sa journée marathon à l'hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, dans le 8e arrondissement. Valentino et son directeur artistique Pierpaolo Piccioli y présentaient leur collection Haute Couture pour les saisons printemps-été 2020. Mika, ami de la maison italienne et du créateur, a eu la chance de la découvrir. Le chanteur de 36 ans était accompagné de son ami Christian Louboutin. Naturellement habillé en Valentino (avec un manteau de la collaboration Undercover / Valentino et une chemise de la collection printemps-été 2020) et chaussé de Louboutin, Mika a inévitablement attiré l'attention des photographes présents. Ces derniers ont également vu passer les actrices Clémence Poésy et Sonam Kapoor, ainsi que les top models Irina Shayk et Karen Elson. Les deux femmes ont participé au défilé Haute Couture de Valentino. Mercredi soir, Mika s'est rendu au Théâtre du Châtelet pour le défilé Jean Paul Gaultier, toujours avec Christian Louboutin. Jean Paul Gaultier a fait ses adieux à la Haute Couture et à la Fashion Week parisienne à l'issue d'un spectacle mémorable !
