BIG NEWS! My new single Yo-Yo is available everywhere now!

I wanted to write a song that could make you cry and dance at the same time. A song to make the world, in all its harshness, feel better. Something that will always be there to comfort you. I wrote this for you, as you listen in your room, or in a club: it doesn’t matter it’s just about you. M x

Sorry, if Someone has recorded the live with Brutofficial can please share It ? Thanks ♥️ or if not, tell us what he talked about, if he sayed something interesting ?

I miscalculated the start time, so I missed the first 15 minutes - I recorded them, but as I don't speak French, I'm not sure exactly what he said! LOL! Anna will know and I bet she recorded it.

Here is the Brut Live on TikTok.

Some questions and answers.

Do you miss The Voice?

First of all I miss my friends from The Voice. Production, Florent, Zazie... We had really a good time. It was not a work. We spent time together. It's the secret of this show. When the coachs have a good time, you can feel it on the screen. If they don't have fun, it's visible as well.

(There is a lot of questions on the screen)

Everybody is asking me about Star Academie. It seems I will make Star Academie. No, I will not do Star Academie. For the moment nobody has even ask me a question about it. I think something was mentioned in le Parisien, but I don't know why it happened. I did Star Academie as a guest in Canada. And a few weeks ago I did a promo there too.

Mika reads a comment: You have not changed handsome man.

No, I have changed a lot. I am 38 yo. This year I will be 39. Believe me, I've changed.

But I think that it is important to jump into a real adventure. Let's take this movie, an album in French, Eurovision.

You be a snob and say, what is this program? No, you have to be an anty-snob. Like this you can keep your free spirit.

Even if you are scared and you start an adventure it is good. Even if you change physically ... you start to buy beauty creams which are ridiculously expensive and don't help at all because it is the food which help the most... But to be honest your spirit mustn't change. It should be able to fly high as easy as before. To fall in love. To find a beautiful person. To find an amazing idea. Even it's the most stupid idea... just to fly even it's only for 10 minutes.

What would you say to all these persons sending you love on this chat? Your fanbase is very strong. Are you conscious of all these people standing for you?

Mika (trying to read the screen) - Oh, it's going so fast... it reassures me. It's great.

Here is the next question. You can read it.

I want you to know that you rocked my childhood. And I thank you for this. I would like to know what the celebrity gave you in positive and in negative.

Celebrity is positive specially for a person who is becoming famous. And it is extremely difficult for people around her/him. This is the truth. Because very often it's an illusion. It's hard to explain it all the time that the live on the Instagram is not a real life. And I don't want to spend my life.... for example I have seen on Brut account the trend about crying and sharing sad moments.. yes, I follow Brut. I watch it. There is a lot of interesting things... I can't cry in front of a camera when my life is a s***t. I don't judge people doing it. Maybe they need to do it. What I want to say is that the life on Insta or TikTok is not an everyday life. Celebrity is really hard to live for us, for our family, our friends. And we have to find a discipline in all this.Another thing I was suffering of is.... the people from our profession which we know... when we meet each other... suddenly the door opens. We have romantic meetings. Everything is possible. And very often it end in a bad way. Actually I don't know why I am talking about it... but I was very disappointed by this. This fake friendship constantly showing on... you have to protect yourself you have to keep the distance but not become harsh, to not become an asshole closing the door before everybody. You have to find the balance.

Next question. Is it true that you wrote Relax during one night?

Yes, it's true. It wasn't one night. It was 20 minutes. Of course I had months, years of preparation. You know, there is this thing, when you write - it was the same with this new song Yo-Yo - it was the same with Elle Me Dit, which I wrote with Doriand - it's a sort of giggling moments, almost psychedelic .. you enter another dimension of the world when everything become clear. Bam! Just to the moment. And you start to write. Like you catch it. Relax it was a strange situation. I was in the underground. All of sudden there is an alert. The train stops in the tunnel. I was going to the recording studio. We get of the train. We walk. The elevators were blocked - underground in London is very deep. You have to take a lot of steps to get out. There was a panic. It was a terrorist attack. Everything has been closed. I needed one hour to walk back home. We didn't know what happened. I comming back home and I write Relax. That's why "I took a ride to the end of the line"...

A quick question posted: How are you?

I am very happy to be here. (Let's  start by positive thing). And I am completely dead. To tell you the truth it's not because... I am used to work this way.. but I think it's because of the stress, I didn't sleep last night. I slept maybe one hour? And I had to get up. I had some tv journals to do for UK. I started at 7am. I slept only one hour. For last 10 hours we are rehearsing and we will continue till 2am. So I think that I am tired because I am stressed.

Next question. Tell us about a fan you remember - it can be in positive or negative way.

Let's start with positive. Well, there is a lot... Creativity of my fans very often surprises me. In this dressing room I brought a sort of talisman. (Mika shows a sculpture af a man in green). I bought it in Quebec City two weeks ago. This is a sculpter making "art populaire". So I told myself that I will bring a piece of my american tour with me. So this is represents it. But in my dressing room - I can't show you now - there is a big painting which I took from my studio. I put it into my car. I drove it here to put it in my dressing room. Actually it's a carpet - a quilt made by an Australian fan I received a few years ago. For me it's a representation of the other side of this profession. It's an artwork, a drawing of Love Today from my first album - completely sewn and embroidered by an Australian fan. Every time I do a huge project I take it with me and I put it on the wall of my dressing room to always remember this side of my work.. and to remember about the impact of my work on my fans and that it's reciprocal.

Negative side... I don't like this idea of having avatars. I don't like this idea of having 5 accounts. One account very nice, and other very wicked. Thay people hide themselves behind their own comments. For me it's a sort of trolling. And it happens everywhere. At work. At school. And it sucks. And it doesn't bring anything good.

Juliasounds is asking - what is the last thing you do before going to sleep.

Mika (laughs) It depends with whos I am at the moment! It's crazy.... Let's stop it here.

Next question. Do you stay in touch with Ariana Grande?

Not recently. Actually I have seen her brother at my gig in Los Angeles. He was in the audience in the second row. It's funny but from the beginning I know his brother. They are very close to each other. And I've seen him in the second row.I was wondering if it' him. And he made me a sign. So this is my last contact with Grande. 10 days ago a Los Angeles at my concert.

Coachella in one word?

It's a sort of Playlist. Festivals changed a lot. I wonder if Coachella audience is bigger on streaming or at real concerts. It's a huge audience. I was put in a situation not quite easy. I was performing on the Main Stage. In the afternoon. Of course it's great to sing on the Main Stage. Before and after me there was a music completely different. For week I went great. I managed to defend myself. I managed to surprise them a little. I think even on TitTok there was a buzz. The next week the audience was 3 times bigger. It was huge! Even the Coachella production had a jaw down. They didn't expect this. It's a challenge. Always a challenge. It never stops. Stress, challenge, this idea that it will be the most horrible thing in my life . No, I will fight. I will defend myself. The day it stops... well, I am dead.

Last question. Where come from this longevity. You said it never stops. You are more and more present. Now Eurovision. What is the secret of longevity? To be yourself?

It's constant asking yourself who you are. To be yourself - what it means? To ask yourself who you are, who you want to be? Should I have the same desires I had 5 years ago ? So very often the answer is no. It's about respect for money. People say that money is not important. Well... it's stupid to say so because it's important.

(in the background - it's honest)

But at the same time not to do anything just for money. To invest in your own work. To the others' work.

There was another question I've seen. On the pink crocodile. And as I am wearing pink..

I've seen a question about the pink crocodile in the Mask Singer.

What surprised me was that even the people who know me was asking me if I prerecorded my performance in Mask Singer. But what are they talking about? I have received a message saying: I know it's you because you like pink. I had no idea of what they were talking about. At last I understood. Did I like it a lot? Not much. Did it upset me a lot? Not too much. They say that imitations is a form of flattery. So I take it as a complement. But you have to pay attention about the pink crocodiles. Because even if they are pink they have teeth.

Can I ask you the last question that people ask? Which languages do you speak?

I speak French. I speak English. Better then French but I try to do my best. I speak Spanish. Ciao! I speak Italian as well. I studied Arabic. My sisters speak Arabic. I was tired of not understanding what they were talking about. And for more I love so much Lebanese food and I it was driving me crazy that I could talk in the Lebanese restaurants of shops. So when I go to Beiruth it's always a challenge for me to speak Arabic.

I studied Chinese for 10 years. My sisters speak fluently in Chinese  - Mandarin. I am completely incapable.

It's already quite a long list.

Thank you. Can you say goodbye to your fanbase?

Bye everybody. Thank you for watching this interview. Thank you for your messages and your support. Not only now for last years. When the world around us is changing we - the artists - we are changing as well. We want it.  We need it. Thank you for changing with me and me with you. See you soon. I have to go for the rehearsal. Tomorrow evening we are live on TV.

This is so interesting that he is so open about this. I think an example is the friendships he has with Christian Louboutin and Pierpaolo Piccioli - they are both professional as personal friendships and that’s why he likes working with them.
But I can imagine he has had many people close the door on him… it’s a very tough world, showbusiness.

This is so cute. He literally carries a significant piece with him to remind him of his fans and the effect it has. For someone who has been in the business for as long as he has, this is incredibly humble from his side and so touching to hear as a fan.

Yes, I this interview is very personal.

At the beginning I wanted just to make a resume in a few sentences. But every word he sais here has it's value (especially this part about fans) and I made the whole text translated as it is. And more - while writing it down I realized that I missed some parts while only listening!

Thank you so much for taking the time to translate, it means a lot to be able to understand what he says ❤️ I was so curious, then I saw your transcript!!! And yes, every word has significance, especially in this one.

Mika told us that he brings to his dressing room some objets from his house.

So look at this photo on the left. Can you recognize this painting?

It's Jim Woodring's painting! Mika brought it as well!

The photo is from MIKAVISION PART 3
