  1. i can only see the uk tracklist on mika's facebook site. and millions of posts about ticket sales in the US. nina, i think you'll get the finnish version if you pre-order from mikasounds. maybe they work together with local distributors. guess you'll have to buy the versions from the different countries on the country's amazon websites. or on your travels. that's why i won't pre-order on mikasounds, i have no idea what i'll get there, and when! guess i'll pre-order the french deluxe version from amazon.fr as it's out in september and i want the french songs anyway, and then buy the german deluxe version when it's out here, hoping that it'll have the uk tracklist. pfft, why do they have to make it so complicated?!
  2. it's on his italian fb site i guess? what it means is probably that if you pre-order the album on the mikasounds website you will get the version of the country where you live, and not the uk version for which the tracklisting is on the mikasounds site.
  3. depends on the country. i think it's out in france, belgium, italy and some other countries. in germany it's on the radio since last wk but we cant buy it yet, the official release date here is sept 21. as for promo though, the german radio promo for wag was also before the single was officially released, so it could be september for celebrate.
  4. ah thanks, that makes sense then. great that amazon.de has the japanese and us versions online before the german one.
  5. the voting for this week is now finished, we can hear the results tonight from 7pm on http://www.radiogong.de/ - just click the play button on the top of the site to open the player. if you have time tonight, it'd be great if you could wait for celebrate to be played and then click "hot" in the online player while the song is played, to show them that many people listen and like it. the other site (swr3) is still open for votes, they'll play the top 3 of those charts sunday evening, so let's make sure mika stays in the top 3 until then.
  6. in fact when i heard mika's interview about the black and white pictures with colour splashes added, i thought about the lozza campaign with mika and imagined it to look similar to it.
  7. that's what *you* say... i found it rather boring, compared to the other songs on the album. but it was only a rough version, so i hope mika will make me eat my words with the final version. oh god, all those different album versions! i definitely need the uk and the french deluxe versions. but i guess i first gotta wait what will be on the german version, if it's the same as the uk one i guess i'll just order the french version first and then buy the german one when it comes out (i read another article today that says oct 5 for germany). on german amazon there is an expensive japan import version, release date sept 11 (wherever they got that date from, but from kumazzz' post i see it's not true ). then there's an austrian version with release date oct 5 and the 2 imports of the label "Pid" () with release date oct 16. but i guess they got that wrong, oct 16 is a tuesday, that's weird for a release date, so maybe they mean sept 16. i'll keep an eye on it, but they still don't have celebrate listed on amazon.de, so i guess the german record company hasn't sent them the informations yet. it's holiday time now though, so maybe in 1-2 weeks.
  8. travels booked. does everyone know where they're staying yet, and whether 1 or 2 nights? i'll arrive the day before the gig at 6:30 pm, maybe those who are in lux already that day want to meet up for dinner or a drink?
  9. same here. it appears again and again and screams "buy me!!!".
  10. while i agree that the absence of cartoon characters and stage props doesn't make mika "ordinary", i still think (and hope) that his show will have more of the musical/theatre character again once he takes them to arenas. he once said it himself in an interview, a big arena show needs a real SHOW and not just someone standing there and singing. the argument that music alone should be enough for a concert doesn't count for me, it isn't classical music where you just sit back, close your eyes, listen, and clap after the song is over. i've seen it at the george michael gig in munich. actually i love his music, but really, the concert was boring. if i just want to listen to the music, i have the cd, but if i go to a concert, i expect a show. at the small gigs (like the ones in autumn) there isn't much needed for this, for example he can just do it by talking between songs and joking with the crowd, like he often does at small gigs. it also was like that at the summer gigs, he talked more, and he did have a few things, not just the flags on stage but also balloons and confetti. actually when i first went to a mika gig i thought this was what made it special, as i've never had balloons and confetti at a concert before. the newspapers describe it as a "children's birthday party", but i really wonder why, because meanwhile i've seen lots more gigs with balloons and confetti. and streamers. elton john for example. or, just recently, david guetta - there was red and white heart-shaped confetti, i really liked that. no one would describe an elton john gig as a children's birthday party, despite all the stage props and confetti etc., so it can't be just that. i agree though that the cartoon characters could add to that impression, i hope there won't be lollipop girls or big girls anymore. if it was up to me, he could get rid of lollipop altogether at the shows. i also didn't get the mubbins in the last album, what they had to do with everything. but for example i liked ida's queen of the night costume, there was nothing childish or ridiculous about that, it was just beautiful. in any case, i'm looking forward to what mika has in store for us, of course he can't please everyone but i have a feeling that i won't be disappointed, because he's so creative that he'll always come up with something new that i'll love.
  11. "rest of world", that made me laugh. hope germany counts to that too then. this appeared today on the german amazon website: http://www.amazon.de/Origin-Love-Deluxe-Edition-Mika/dp/B0090NNQX6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1345740047&sr=8-4 - import with release date oct 16, but what confuses me most is the name of the label, Pid. wtf is that, never heard it?!
  12. i just read about that crown of thorns thing here: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a401013/mika-unveils-new-album-the-origin-of-love-artwork-picture.html and now i also see it mentioned on this thread... seriously, it doesn't look like that to me at all, it's just a creative way of writing "mika", with golden paint splashes, and they arranged it along his head so it wouldn't just float somewhere in the picture. or maybe they wanted to replace his curls with it. the only thing the cover reminded me of a tiny bit was the cd cover of the gossip (music for men), because that's also a close-up black-and-white-picture of a person with short hair, looking to the side. i like the cover of tool, i think it brings across the "lightness of touch" that mika refers to when he talks about his album. and i guess there's more black&white pictures with colour splashes inside the booklet, like what mika mentioned in the belgian interview. i'm looking forward to see the whole artwork!
  13. ok that was a bit complicated, but luckily i understand a bit of dutch so i managed to register and vote. voted on the serbian & croatian mtv sites too.
  14. another voting for celebrate on a german radio station: http://www.radiogong.de/artikel/Musik/Musik/Die+Gong+96%2C3+Top+7+um+7!/14507/ mika has only 2% so far! also on this one you can vote as often as you like.
  15. please vote for Celebrate on the charts of this popular german radio station SWR3! it was the radio station where mika performed in 2009 in baden-baden (swr3 hautnah). http://www.swr3.de/musik/charts/-/id=47420/cf=42/1ltaxmy/index.html click on "Abstimmen", then on the next page enter the captcha code (you don't have to fill in any of the other fields, but you can win stuffed animals or t-shirts if you do ) and click on "Abschicken". thank you!! :-)
  16. you might be right with that, but especially when you're younger, you don't know the difference and you think this person must be the love of your life and are crushed if they don't love you back. if he says that he wanted to die for love, obviously his feelings were very strong at that time, whether it was just a crush or real love (for example for someone who used to love him but then left him).
  17. yes, the link leads to a site that looks like the usual newsletter signup. but they probably won't send that password to all newsletter recipients, so maybe you have to sign up again via that link?
  18. there's a ticket pre-sale for the US shows, see mika's facebook page.
  19. just posted on mika's fb: At 10am PDT today we are going to have an exclusive pre-sale for Mika fans for his US tour dates in October! 20. i so wish i could go to LA again, the venue looks amazing! and i miss LA... but there's no way i can afford a 700€ flight atm! maybe next time...
  21. not anyone, no. only amazon merchants can, but then the name of the merchant would be in the article, and it says that it's sold and distributed by amazon. it wouldn't surprise me though if france got it sooner than the rest of the world. i found a german news article that quoted universal germany as a source and they gave october 5 as the album release date (for germany).
  22. hadn't you wished though that you were wrong and it was already september? on the french amazon site it still says september...
  23. i've recorded the interview (not the song though) but have no time to upload it now... will do tonight or tomorrow, if no one else has uploaded it by then. hope you've all been writing to ken bruce that you like the song? http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/ken-bruce/contact/
