it was the "dance with me emily" - it was louder in milan, more of a command, i quite liked that... but i can understand that he didn't want that bit to stand out SO prominently - it's a minor change, and of course i also still like the song. talking about dance tracks, stardust and overrated are the obvious ones, but i could as well imagine a remix of heroes in a club. sorry to destroy your hopes, but the new overrated is a much bigger change than i see you was from i'm falling. :rolls_eyes: nope.

i don't like overrated so far, but i'll wait for the full version to make a decision. maybe it's just because they only play the chorus and i know that line too well from the demo version so it sounds wrong to me. the more i listen to SWM in this version, the more i get used to it. i'm still sad about the loss of the faster version, but i love this one too. i don't like what he did with step with me, compared to the listening session in milan. it was faster, about the tempo of popular song. i was so much looking forward to hearing this version again on the album, and now he's made a ballad out of it. i mean, i don't mind if that's the album version, but i really really really hope that one day (in the not too far future ) i'll get to hear the faster version again, it was so perfect in milan. anyway, i'm sooo super happy about this album preview on youtube! it makes the wait easier. and harder at the same time. i think my faves are popular song, underwater, tool, and love you when i'm drunk. the latter is such a funny crazy song, can't wait to see him perform that live, it's gonna be fab! and popular song, aww, i'm already listening to that short snippet on repeat! btw, i just noticed you can jump to the different songs by clicking on them in the picture. didn't notice that first.

no it was performed for the first time in front of an audience yesterday. he did it at the soundcheck in tallinn though, that's where some fans heard it.

yup, i also noticed... she got mika's death stare for that.

i think when the chorus changes, the last line is also a bit different: Step 1, I don't even know you Step 2, come a little closer Step 3, you can't even see me Three steps from loving me i also remember hearing the line "three steps for/from loving me" in the album version, thought it was in every chorus but i also remember that i didn't understand that line til the end of the song, so it probably was just that changed bit that i understood.

i definitely like this live version better than the album version that we heard in milan. i still prefer step with me, but this one's a fantastic live song. i can almost feel the goosebumps on my arms if i imagine hearing it in a big stadium or open air gig, it has a sort of "width" in the sound that makes it perfect for such a setting, if you know what i mean.

great review, but... since when is step with me a ballad? i did that the last time and it didn't help. this time i have no money to buy it several times, but for the same reason you mentioned, i'll also buy the (deluxe) german version. also because i want the acoustic versions that aren't on the french cd.

ah yes, i remember mika and andy tweeting about it a while ago, and we wanted to see it so badly. and now that it's finally out, we've already heard most of the things he says in other interviews. shame really that they couldn't have released it right after it was filmed. :rolls_eyes: and now, of all websites on the internet they publish it on GERMAN universal, who are usually the last to post anything mika-related. nevertheless it's a lovely interview and i enjoyed watching it. i gotta say though that i hate his hair in that video, it looks like cement! i don't need curls, but i want some fluffiness please. like in the celebrate video, for example. do you really think so? of course it's edited, but all interviews are, why do you think there'll be more? edit: oh btw, i forgot to complain about the accompanying article on the german website. can they at least get the titles of their own artist's singles right?! it's celebrate, not celebration!

good idea. do we have a release date for italy yet? the import version on the german amazon website that is out oct 16 seems to be the US version. they've changed the label from "pid" to "Int.Us: Def Jam/Island".

me too, but in this case i have to order it, as in germany it's out later than for example in france. for the last album it was different - i think asia (japan?) got it first, and germany was second (along with some other countries) as here the release day for new records is friday, whereas in the uk it's monday. we've been waiting for 3 years, so OF COURSE we want to get it first! agree, and i wasn't refering to pre-ordering on mikasounds, but on amazon.

could someone please post here the different tracklists we have already, to get an overview? the uk one is on mikasounds. the belgian one was just posted on the other thread:

"rest of the world" isn't true though, for germany it's october 5. says so on the german universal website. seems like it's the same for austria, as there's an album version from universal austria on the german amazon website, with release date oct 5. i don't know if it's the same for CDs, but pre-ordering harry potter from amazon meant that you'd get it delivered to your home on the day of the release. if they did that too, and not only start sending the CDs out that day, this would be an advantage.
