i think it can't hurt if a few of us send e-mails or tweets to the radio station right AFTER they've been playing celebrate, saying how much we love the song and that we're looking forward to hear it again soon. i just hope they play it not too long after 11, i gotta leave at 11:30 (12:30 german time)! btw, will someone record for those who can't listen live? i probably won't have the time, but if no one else does, i can try.

oh no, that sucks! hope you'll find out where he is! it reminds me a bit of the blue balls festival in luzern, with this "meet the artist" talkshow - it was open for the public and they sold tickets for it for 20CHF, but they wouldn't tell us for life whether mika would be there, not even an hour in advance! - "it's ALWAYS a surprise which of the artists will be there..." the result was that the venue for this meet the artist thing was nearly empty.

well, he told us at the album pre-listening that all the songs we heard there would be on the album. he didn't play celebrate and make you happy there, but it looks like those will be on the album too. that's 11 songs then, so the only one i'm not sure about is "overrated". but he had played it to the french journalists at the pre-listening there, so i would be surprised if he changed that again. oh yes, i forgot that one... hm, maybe? he didn't say that in the making of video of lola though...

i think it's just the light in those pix, his hair is dark, but shiny so it reflects the light. i've had totally straight hair as a kid, but it changed when i was a teenager... now my hair is a bit wavy and i can have curls whenever i want to, just by using the right styling products. mika might have had a perm when he started in 2006/2007 (i still cringe at the photos of that one set where he looks like he's wearing a wig! ), but it could also just be natural and based on the styling.

we already have 12 songs though, unless he threw out overrated. but we can still hope for bonus tracks.

"not a commercial decision"? i wonder why he felt the need to say that... anyway, it's interesting to know about the making of, and that it used to be china boy - at least one song less that is lost. now, which of the other album songs is "kill me on the dancefloor"?

i created a facbook group and we're already discussing ideas there... currently in german, but if anyone else who's coming to the gig wants to help as well, and/or add ideas, let me know, then i'll add you, and of course we can switch to english. looking at our discussion there, i think it's good that we didn't do it in this thread, it'd be several pages by now, within just 2 hours, lol!

yes, i think so too... and especially since there's an option to collect it from a ticket center in the city centre during their opening hours, so if you don't choose "pick up from the box office", you don't have to wait til the box office opens but can pick it up in the city during the day.

i've already made some loose plans with some of the other german mfcers, and we probably want to do something, and of course appreciate help... we just don't want to discuss the details on here (besides the fact that there aren't many details yet... ), as a) we don't wanna spam this thread and b) some are worried that it might leak to mika somehow and not be a surprise anymore. i was thinking about making a facebook group for everyone who's coming to the gig and wants to help or add more ideas (of course we can do more than one thing...) - if any of you is interested, let me know.

yes you're right, they didn't list any shipping fees when offering the alternatives, which confused me, so i searched if i find anything about it on the website, and i found it here: http://www.oeticket.com/en/delivery_methods/ edit: the price depends on the DHL zone of your country, unfortunately they don't write on their site what those zones are for austria... but as an orientation (and probably it's the same, as DHL is a german company) here's the zones list on the german DHL website: http://www.dhl.de/en/paket/privatkunden/international/paket.html (scroll down a little and click on the red + signs next to the zone names to see the country lists).

aww, love it! he looks so natural in it. of course the video is blocked in germany , but luckily i have proxtube... and i love how the video describes the story he told in interviews, about not being able to write songs - it's like life going on without him, while he is drowned in his notes and still not getting anything done... and then he surrounds himself with people and is happy again and finds his freedom, throwing away the notes, you can see he's suddenly in his element, just playing the piano instead of trying to write something down, and he just lives. edit: i just watched it again, and it's amazing how i can really *feel* his loneliness first, and then also his freedom and happiness. so beautiful!

ah yes, that list. they should add the dutch and the danish date to their events list! (and correct the date of the austrian gig... )
