  1. as there's a day in between munich and zurich, i think i'll go to this one... only a 4 hour drive from munich.
  2. i'd click the like button now, if there was one. edit: tickets bought for both gigs!
  3. tickets for munich are available now: http://www.eventim.de/mika-Tickets-muenchen.html?affiliate=EVE&doc=artistPages%2Ftickets&fun=artist&action=tickets&key=396326%242263073&jumpIn=yTix&kuid=2641&from=erdetaila&language=en edit: tickets for cologne as well: http://www.eventim.de/mika-Tickets-koeln.html?affiliate=EVE&doc=artistPages%2Ftickets&fun=artist&action=tickets&key=396326%242263725&jumpIn=yTix&kuid=2641&from=erdetaila&language=en
  4. they probably want to avoid having to cancel gigs again or moving them to smaller venues, like they had to do on the last tour. if he does a small gig that's sold out, it's good marketing for him, and if he really does europe again in early/mid 2013, people will buy tickets for that one in time if they couldn't go in nov because it was sold out. maybe though if the album does well they can indeed move it to a bigger venue right away. would be interesting to know which strategy they have...
  5. i updated the first post with the links to and capacity of the venues. just 1000 in munich isn't much, the zenith where mika played the last 2 times he was here has a capacity of 7000! and it was quite full... but maybe they'll move it to a bigger venue if they see that there's enough demand. happened also on mika's very first german tour in april 2007, he was supposed to play in a small club with a capacity of a few hundred people, and then the gig was moved to a bigger venue for 1500 people.
  6. thanks... i opened a thread for them.
  7. http://www.eventim.de/mika-Tickets.html?affiliate=EVE&doc=artistPages%2Ftickets&fun=artist&action=tickets&erid=396326&xtcr=1&xtmc=mika 1.11. Cologne Kantine Kulturbetriebe GmbH, http://www.kantine.com/ 6.11. Munich Theaterfabrik (@ Optimolwerke), http://www.theaterfabrik-muenchen.de/ both venues have a capacity of ca. 1,000. Tickets for both gigs are available now on the above link to eventim (you can choose your language in the upper right corner of the website). so, not 4 but 2... anyway, happy that he's coming to my hometown! thank you @ DerMoment for posting the dates first here on mfc!
  8. ah ok, thanks, i still didn't have time to watch that yet... well i just thought he could do south america when he does the US, as it's nearby. but ok, 2013 then...
  9. yes, that'd make sense... there wouldn't be enough time between the last date in france and the one in london for an asian AND an US tour... and iirc he said to yuna that asia would be end of nov / beginning of dec. so maybe it's the US and south america in october, mainland europe in end oct/nov, asia in end of nov/beginning of dec and UK in dec.
  10. they just write a few things about mika, nothing interesting... if you want to buy tickets, you can alternatively do so on this website, here's the link to the english version: http://www.oeticket.com/en/tickets/mika-wien-planettt-bank-austria-halle-gasometer-272200/event.html.
  11. where's that from? i think there's more voice distortion in your clip than in the one from the radio, and it might be a fuller sound (more bass / deep frequencies), but not sure as it's not really loud...
  12. i couldn't go the last time, as it was too close to the german gigs - but if it's not in the same week as germany this time, i'll definitely consider it! vienna is a lovely city, been there twice but unfortunately i haven't seen much of it yet. so i'd definitely include a day or two of sightseeing this time. and i gotta say i just love the accent people in vienna have, it reminds me of castles and waltz and lovely gentlemen (küss die hand!) and pretty cafés with flowers... (yeah i guess i watched too many of those old movies with my mum when i was a child! ) don't say that too loudly, or you'll have a bunch of MFCers invade your flat. (btw, would you have a place to sleep for me if i can make it there? )
  13. pfft, i hope not! but even if there are only 2 in germany, there's not enough time left now in the 2nd week of november, so they have to be either before or after all the others. i could imagine one in the netherlands in that week though, as it's close to brussels.
  14. t4p daeni! i might consider this one, it's a small venue with only 1,100 places.
  15. This time it really is Vienna in Austria, not Vienne in France! seems like there are already tickets available, here: https://www.musicticket.at/index.php?id=1544&eventid=1340094168795 edit: here's a direct link for buying tickets (english version of the website): http://www.oeticket.com/en/tickets/mika-wien-planettt-bank-austria-halle-gasometer-272200/event.html
  16. ah, so that's why in germany there hasn't even been the slightest article about the single or anything. well, as long as he comes on tour here even if the album's not doing well, i'll forgive him. (i don't mind small venues... at all... ) thank you for the translation so far, looking forward to the rest!
  17. just think of a gay couple and what the church says... it's really smart, a metaphor he takes from the bible itself, to criticize the church! LIKE adam and eve... god didn't think they deserved it... he (...) made them hide... i love how this part stands out from the rest, musically (surely not a coincidence...), and thus it's the first of the verses i knew by heart - and now that i've fully realized what the song is about, i love this bit even more and see it as the centerpiece of the song.
  18. i have a feeling that the german dates might be in the week before this, but if they aren't, i might consider going to one of those. maybe a romantic weekend in rome with my bf, it's still quite warm in rome in november...
  19. yeah, love it! and it seems felix is starting to take jimmy's part, by fooling around whenever he can. in luzern he spilled his water bottle (on purpose) when mika shot him, which made mika crack up. and in vigevano he shot himself. LOL! i gotta say, felix is my fave of the new band members, wouldn't mind if mika kept him for a while.
  20. better late than never, i'll write a report about things i haven't seen mentioned here yet. ;-) final performance for this summer. though i have to say i find it weird that he doesn't plan to do it in belgium, or in canada... but maybe he'll play the other new french songs there instead, who knows? oh yes, don't get me started on those "security" people! xD working for a concert security company myself, i can tell you that if a security company in munich worked like that, they'd never get booked for another event again! i didn't expect the numbers to work either, but that tiny barrier that nearly got pushed over by the people wanting to enter, with just one security guy there who was unable to do anything, and other people just walking in the entrance from the sides, and then those stairs... it probably would've worked better with no security there at all! thanks for looking anyway. ;-) the rose thing was really funny, some fans had thrown roses on stage and they didn't look exactly fresh anymore, with their heads hanging. mika had one in his hand, stressing with his gestures how sad the rose looked, and then banging its head around til it fell off. like rose had said, he was making a lot of jokes, most of them you can see in my videos, or in marina's (for example the funny band introduction, where he said the band will start tomorrow and that max looks like harry potter... marina's video has a better sound there!). for example he also said that the soundcheck in that castle got him in a christmas mood, so he was doing christmas carols for the soundcheck, LOL! he then said merry christmas in italian... as if any of the italians who don't speak english would get what he said if he just wishes them merry christmas out of the blue! they must think he was mad! with help from a lot of MFCers in the queue (rose, treasa, dutch annie, tina, meggy, graciosa, and more... thank you all, girls!! ) we managed to build 100-200 of those glowing hearts and give them to those who were queuing before the doors opened. actually people queued at our café table to get them as soon as we finished another one! it was basically just the first 3-4 rows who had the hearts, and a few more further back, but anyway it looked fab during happy ending! some people had thrown their hearts on stage already earlier, and i don't know who put it there, but max had one sticking in his (vocoder?) desk thingie for about half of the gig. after happy ending, some more threw theirs on stage, and mika waved around with one of them, i think at the beginning of celebrate. btw, sorry i think i forgot one of you who had wanted the heart-shaped glasses... was too busy with all the other stuff! one thing which i hadn't seen at any of the gigs before was that for TOOL there was black and white confetti shot in the crowd. it wasn't blown like the yellow one for WAG, but shot with one "bang!". i loved how all the confetti looked on the floor, the black and the yellow together reminded me of the munich city colours. after the show there was a huge crowd gathered inside of the venue at the barriers behind which the cars were parked. luckily security did something useful this evening too and sent everyone outside (probably just because they wanted to go home ), which resulted in most of this crowd leaving so there was mostly MFCers left in the end when mika came out at ca. 1:30am. it was a bit hard to form and keep a queue because it was a crossing of 2 small streets and there was indeed some traffic at that time! but for that, it was all quite organized, although there was no one to tell people to stand in line. i kept in the back, took 2-3 pictures and filmed a bit, at least the light was good there. and of course i was all hibbeling when he said in the end that he'd see some of us tomorrow, as until that point i still wasn't sure whether he'd be at the album pre-listening.
  21. thank you a lot camille for the translations! it's a very interesting interview, i wish he had done it in english (camille i bet you think the same after having to translate it all... ) - would be nice to actually *watch* him say all of that, in a language i can understand. i especially love how he talks about how he has met jodi marr, this whole story... and all the other details he tells about collaborations, it's fab to have an insight into how he works.
  22. from that parc eana press conference thread (news board): "we will have a whole French and European tour in Autumn, the US afterwards, I think something in South America, then Asia, then we tour Europe again. "
  23. come on germany!! those who could post it on their website probably don't even know anymore who mika is, since there's no promo done for him here at all, and thus thought "ah well, we can wait with those tourdates til monday, no one wants to see that anyway..."
  24. seems like it's nov 10th in rome: http://www.rockon.it/concerti/tour-concerti/mika-annuncia-il-tour-europeo-il-9-novembre-a-padova-il-10-a-roma/ (thank you to sarina for the tweet that made me google it! )
