maybe both sides had agreed that it was a loose relationship? and he didn't want that anymore? or it's also possible that it was someone new, but that mika already knew this guy a long time and only fell in love at that point. in any case i agree that tool and uw don't sound like he's written them bout a guy he only had known gor a week at that time. but there are other possible explanations except that he's lying.

that was my thought as well. he left the guy, later realized he'd made a mistake, and the guy took him back. do you all realize that in none of those interviews he said he fell in love with someone new? he uses words like all over again, but never that it was actually a new guy. so if we not only count what he says but also what he doesn't say, it makes sense. about the timing, maybe he already traveled to montreal once before the one time he tweeted about it? or he has his own definitions of words like 'weeks', 'months' or 'soon'

i'm not "shocked" as such by the nudity in the video, it's in fact not unusual to see nowadays, anyway in my country. i just wonder why it was necessary. the scenes would've worked without showing private parts. but in the e-mail mikasounds sent out today the subject said "controversial video" - maybe that's why they did it: to be controversial and to get people talking about it. well, if some guys watch the video because they want to see a naked woman and then start liking mika's song, why not. for me it's defintely enough though to have it watched once. well ok twice, the 2nd time i recorded the song so i don't have to watch the video again to hear it.

i've been wondering whether he does it live at all... i really hope so, but i somehow can't imagine joy singing priscilla's part... :rolls_eyes:

poor girl, having to listen to mika songs all day! probably it's just my mind that made up those bits, the middle part is really hard to understand! heroes reminds me a little of "wooden boat" by take that, probably because of the guitar sound. here's a live version of the tt song:

lol, well in one beer tent they play it maybe twice in one evening, so it's not a big difference to songs that are constantly played on the radio. actually it's fun cause the more often you hear it, the more you know the lyrics and/or the dance routine and you sing along at the top of your voice. at first you might be irritated, but at some point you just go with the flow and start humming the song to yourself even if you don't want to. being drunk might help of course. i'd say that love you when i'm drunk fits to the oktoberfest in more than one way! this year's oktoberfest starts saturday next week, so if you wanna come visit me, feel free to do so.

they should play it on the oktoberfest. it could become a "wies'n hit". (there's one song every year (sometimes more than one) that is THE song on the oktoberfest for that season, played in every beer tent, sung by the drunks on their way home, sometimes with a special choreography to dance to (for example macarena was one of those hits ) - that's the "wies'n hit"! )

it seems like german universal finally wakes up. i heard he has a new promoter at the german record company, looks like they're doing a good job. unlike the one he had for the last album... was great to watch it, t4p milda! love how he starts "dancing" to it, and what he says in the end.

I think Emily doesn't have its own thread yet either... I agree though that Heroes definitely needs its own thread. It had to grow on me first, but it's starting to do that already. love it! especially the acoustic version, the piano is great! the song reminds me of love today, and it sounds funny, crazy, in some ways even a bit like the german party music we have here for carnival or the oktoberfest, meaning that it gets you in the same party mood like those songs, but of course it's musically much more elaborated.

thanks girls! deb, i agree with most of your changes - just i think she in fact sings a very short "You('re)" before "tryin' to make me feel bad" - that's the problem with rap, often words are half-swallowed to make it fit the rhythm. And it's definitely " the only thing THAT I learned at school". i'll add your changes to the first post, hope that's ok for you?
