  1. that's all i really wanted to say with my comment. it just seems sometimes that this comes totally surprising to some people, that not only jealousy causes secrecy, but also vice versa. sorry, i don't know what happened on the acoustic tour (apart from the london party, but i think what you mean is something about the paris gig?), i didn't follow the mfc as closely during that time as i do now, and i don't know what was posted on MWS, as my french isn't good enough to understand it. maybe they even posted stuff about me at some point, but wtf, i don't know them, so why should i care what they say? "why don't you like me or walk out that door!" there were enough rumours about me to fill a book, back in the days when i was following other bands - but i believe that if i'd had the chance to publicly state MY point of view on all these things, like it is possible nowadays thanx to the internet, that a lot less people would've believed those stupid things that were said about me. of course there are always some people who just don't want to hear the truth, but enjoy causing trouble wherever they can. but i dare to say that most people on mfc aren't like that, and so i personally don't share your point of view on this. but of course i don't wanna judge you for it either - if for you it means more pain than joy posting those things on mfc, because a bunch of stupid morons ruin it for you, then ok, i can understand where you come from, although i personally wouldn't let this bunch of people stop me. of course i know this, the planet painting was just an example. like i said, there definitely are things you have to keep secret. like, if i found out anything about mika's private life, or were asked to keep something secret, i certainly wouldn't go posting it on mfc (or anywhere else). but the difference to me is, either you keep something secret. or you don't. but the problems start where half a story is told, and the rest is up to everyone's imagination. generally agree, and i certainly don't want to justify the behaviour of those who spread stupid rumours or talk badly about others. but i wonder why you bother about it being publicly - do you prefer people talking about you behind your back? if they can't do it publicly, that's what they will do instead, sad as it is. and then i'd personally prefer if it was public than behind my back, because then i would know it and could answer to it. the best option of course would be if everyone just told you to your face if they have a problem with you, or keep their mouth shut completely. but sadly, that's not reality.
  2. started uploading my videos, here are the first few, more tomorrow... astronaut intro: relax: sitm trumpet solo: first part of dr john:
  3. and not to forget the short-sleeved shirt in paris at the m+g... no, he isn't cold because he had a couple of glasses of champagne. the guy really needs to be taken care of by a babysitter sometimes!
  4. by mariposa via twitter: Met Mika.John said Mika couldn't talk because of some voice problems. But he talked anyway.Only ca 25 ppl. aww, poor mika, he was already so tired in nice, and now even voice problems... edit: and more by mariposa: Great moment of the gig:All of the 10.000 ppl singing Happy b'day for his sis Zuleika :-) She wasn't there though.
  5. suzie, the problem is that john obviously wants the number system to be exclusively for mfc, or at least mfcers first, and then all the others, no matter what time they arrived. and if you have to be on mfc to get a good number if you arrive early, then i think this should be communicated on here very publicly, and not hidden in some gig threads where no one will find it. that's all i meant, not discussing details or anything. in nice it wasn't that much of a problem, if it was just about 10-15 mfcers. but if it had been 50 or 70 (like in amsterdam), and 3 or 5 or 10 non-mfcers who have been there before them had to go to the back of the queue, it would've made a much bigger difference.
  6. wow! first of all, to the last post here, suzie, i agree with you but if i understood it correctly, in this case the husband was queuing since the morning as well. then, humphrey, thanx for clearing things up. i didn't even realize that mfcers were blamed (i don't read the french forums), just read that the queue was reorganized, and here on the thread it sounded to me like it was the fault of the french universal people - but very interesting to hear that it came from john, and that he had thought it was always just mfc. yes, mfc is the official forum, but like some said on here already, it doesn't make sense for everyone to join mfc, like, if they can't understand english at all. then i think at least the website navigation etc. should be available in different languages. what sense does it make if we have lots of nominal members who never post at all and just become a member so they can get a queuing number? and this "fan for one day" argument doesn't count imo, as those who aren't on mfc but post daily on the french forum aren't just "fans for one day" either. and there's many more reasons why i'm not happy with this - some might not be able to join any forums because they don't have an own pc, or are too young, or don't have an e-mail-address (yes, we as internet addicts know it's easy to get one, but not everyone does...) - what should they do if they wanna be front row at a gig where 50 mfcers are coming to? or all those people who just don't KNOW of the mfc, or of the numbers system. ok that might only be a handful at every gig (of those who queue early), but i can understand that they're disappointed. ok, end of ranting. maybe we should put a thrad on the front page news about the numbers system the way john wants it, in multiple languages, so at least everyone who visits the mfc has the chance to find out about it, and can for example tell their friends whom they're going with to join here? and a short comment about what caz+babs said about keeping some things to themselves... of course it's everyone's own choice what they say and what not, but it's a vicious circle really... you have secrets, people find out bits+pieces and get jealous or at least curious, thinking wow if it's such a big secret it must be really cool+exclusive, some just get on your nerves by asking lots of questions, others start rumours around the bits+pieces they know, you are -understandably- annoyed about that and tell even less the next time. or it starts with people spreading rumours, at whatever point you want it to start, but it's something that'll probably never end once it started. that's why i personally always prefer to tell everything, and although i've seen+met mika almost as often as sara, i never had any problems with jealousy and rumours so far. not that i know of anyway. like i said, that's just my personal opinion and the way i do it, it's up to everyone on their own how they handle it, and of course i know that some things HAVE to be kept secret, like the planets painting at first. i'm just saying, i can kinda understand both sides - it's natural that people become jealous if they feel they miss out on something important - which in fact might not be that important at all, but they don't know if they don't have the information. and about the rumours, well, of course i don't like that either, but we've seen how fast that can go, just based on a stupid joke, on the evening of mika's abu dhabi tweets. it's just a matter of fact that lack of information - whether based on secrets or on language barriers or whatever - is a perfect breeding ground for rumours.
  7. btw, does he still talk about the puppet and stuff, even if he doesn't sing toyboy but la solitude instead? he always said it was his fave part of the show - and it was mine too, him sitting there at the piano, just talking+joking with the crowd and making fun with that puppet. i'd hate to see that this part is missing now. don't care too much bout the song toyboy itself (the most interesting parts for me were only when he messed it up ), it's ok if he sings la solitude instead, it sounds beautiful - but i'd really miss the talking part. i could imagine that he'll sing la solitude at the french festivals, he mentioned in one interview that he'd do cover versions at the festivals.
  8. kick ass is no. 50 on the german itunes charts! http://www.maceinsteiger.de/mac-goodies/itunes-charts-top-100/
  9. cool, mfers on stage again then? i guess sara and danika, judging from all the backstage pix sara tweeted? who else? i would've guessed it was jimmy when i read allegra's post. t4p!
  10. they are working, thanx! sometimes the speed is getting slower and then faster again, but it's not often, and dunno if it's the video or my pc. thanx again, was fab to watch! also what the band was doing during KA - i couldn't see a thing with that damn mask, it's worse than the BG heads! strangely, i think the lollipop/KA is better quality than the funeral march... which is weird, as it's much longer.
  11. yeah, really, how can he ruin the whole picture?! my personal favourite is this one - when i started taking the pic, jimmy was still playing bass, but then when i looked at the pic it suddenly turned out that he had run his hand through his hair! looks kinda sexy!
  12. i thought so. that's why i posted them there and not here, as this thread is so old that i wasn't sure whether anyone would look.
  13. better late than never: my munich pix are all online now here: http://www.mikafanclub.de/bilder-muenchen4.php
  14. that's weird. at all the other gigs, numbers have been given in order of time of arrival, no matter whether mfc or not. ok well at the 2nd paris gig, the organization wasn't 100% fair imo either, as they stopped the list already at 80 (had been 150 the day before, which was ok with john) but then put some mfcers on the list who arrived later. was just very few i think who got a number later in the day, maybe 3 or 4, but still, this of course shouldn't be the rule. in the end though, it's always up to those who organize the list what they do with it and how strict they are, that's a question of the personality of this person. but sending non-mfcers who had been there earlier to the back of the queue certainly is something that everyone should be able to avoid!
  15. hehe, in this one you can see that he has the lyrics lying on his piano and keeps checking them. here's OMS by the same user:
  16. and i LOVE those glow in the uv light effects! even ida's blue costume glows!
  17. here are my pix from the 26th: http://www.mikafanclub.de/bilder-paris.php
  18. here is la solitude, by youtube user kika3113: sooo beautiful!
  19. the funeral march and lollipop ARE especially interesting! and for me also all the songs after i see you, as i wasn't there (or only in the back) anymore. i thought you had changed the file format for the 27th?
  20. i don't wanna queue for hours at the ticket machine because i have to hurry to get to the mika queue! thanx to all you guys saying that you wanna be there at 9/9:30 already, i won't be relaxed at all, as my train arrives only after 9! my last queuing experience (paris) was anything but pleasant, since they were at no. 100 already at 10am - and if you say you wanna be there at 9, i'm fear there'll be some mad ones who think "ok then i'll come at 7!" *misses queuing like in germany, where it was enough to be there around noon, or in stuttgart even at 4pm* does anyone know how big the front row is at this venue (how many ppl)?
  21. thanx for the pix nanou, they're brilliant! here's the first of my videos, mika makes the crowd yodel, LOL! the support act does that for one of their songs, and seems like mika liked it, so he started it too. and then, if i understood it correctly with my very basic french knowledge, he said sth like "ok, i amused myself!" off to bed now, will try to upload the rest of the vids tomorrow. don't expect too much though, as i didn't have my usual good spot.
  22. here are my vids from this show - didn't film as much as usual, and it's not the complete songs, because it was the first time i've watched the new show and i was just stunned and trying to see and notice and memorize it all, and film and take pix and dance all at the same time - i just never could decide which of those things to do! good gone girl: over my shoulder: nightmare scene (before rain): biotg: band introduction: funeral march: shooting scene during LT: part of WAG: (sorry for all the shaking in this, tried to film the crowd as well and couldn't stand still )bits+pieces (crowd, trumpet solo, bits of AOW, TY, HE, talk before TB): off to bed now, pix will follow tomorrow.
  23. it used to be luke... then i think david did it in 2008 - and now it's anna, guess since the start of this tour?
