  1. thanx... haven't checked my mails for 2 days, since my pc with the e-mail program on it doesn't work anymore, using my notebook instead... but will check online now, thx for letting me know. :wink2:

  2. looks like it won't be that easy with my computer, probably gonna have to install windows again - anyway i HOPE that helps and it's nothing worse than that... gonna do that tonight. marion, of course i'll post the pic of the setlist as well. btw, sth else i remembered, there were 3 songs on the setlist as an encore, "make my day", which was written in brackets... then the 2nd was "filthy mcnasty", and the 3rd "farewell". he first played make my day, and then asked the audience which of the other 2 he should play... and of course got "both!" as an answer. so he said ok, but i warn you, the 2nd song lasts about 12 minutes! but then, after playing "filthy mcnasty", he decided he wouldn't play the other song anymore and they left. it was ok for me though, it was a good & long gig like it was. and something else i forgot to mention... i guess i should change my profession and become a german translator/teacher for popstars. i already helped mika with his german on stage a few times, and yesterday, wouter stuck his microphone in my face and asked me what "we're gonna play our last song" means in german. that was really sweet, and of course i didn't mind at all helping him, but in the first second i was like - lol!
  3. not just one new fan, tina. ;-p fantastic gig, really! he played for 1,5 hours, i never would've thought that! - had been to another amazon newcomer gig before, last year, and they had played for only 30 minutes or so. so that was a nice surprise. i felt a bit weird in the beginning, since it was all so small, mfc was front row center (how could we not, lol! ), and so wouter was standing right in front of me. if it had been mika, that wouldn't have been a problem at all, but i had never seen wouter in my life before, hardly know the chorus of 3 of his songs, and the first song was a slow one that i had never heard before, so i couldn't dance/clap either. so i just stood there, ca. 50cm away from wouter, didn't dare to take pix, didn't know what to do with my hands or where to look - lol! but that feeling was soon gone, he's such a sweet, natural guy, talked a lot between songs, and also soon the songs became more danceable too. :-D "in between" is such a fab song, and i still have it stuck in my head. i really need to get that album. :-D and all the other songs were fantastic too, and you could see/feel that wouter and his band had a lot of fun on stage. talking about the band, the keyboarder and the drummer are kinda hot... though totally different types, the keyboarder looks like some boyband member, and the drummer is very thin+tall. *g* can someone tell me their names please? i didn't understand it when wouter introduced them. anyway, i took some pix+videos, but can't upload it all now, since my PC is on strike... using my notebook now, and everything's rather slow on here. uploaded 2 of the pix on twitter though, here they are: lip biting *g* http://twitpic.com/1rcut3 my pic with wouter http://twitpic.com/1rcvnl :-D btw, how can he look so young, he's only 1 year younger than me! he looks like 22 or so! after the show, we went to the toilet and when we came back, wouter and his band were in the club again, packing the instruments. well, the band was packing, wouter was chatting+signing+taking pix. so we took our chance too. i let him sign my lottery ticket, since that was the only piece of paper i had with me, lol! marion told him that we were from mfc, and he said, oh yeah, i've heard they abused the mika newsletter. i said something like ah ok, so you know and he said, yeah, he heard it from some dutch fans, and i mentioned linde, and he immediately knew who i was talking about and said yeah (that he had heard about the newsletter thing from her). we told him that we really enjoyed the show, and asked whether he'd come back to germany soon, and he said maybe a club tour at the end of the year... but the way he said it, it sounded like it depends on the sales in germany whether they'll do that. i also told him that i really like "in between", and he said it's one of his faves too. :-) oh, and i asked him what his first single in germany would be/is, and he had to ask a guy from the record company about that. but he really did that, although i had already said, nevermind, i'll look it up online - he's so sweet and natural and relaxed and down to earth, aww! after chatting with him, we stayed in the club a little longer, and watched wouter taking some press pictures with a girl (dunno who she was, maybe a competition winner) - that was really funny, at one point the photographer told wouter to put his arm around the girl and wouter was like in some way, and looked at us (we were sitting nearby) like "omg what will he ask next?!" (jokingly) - i guess that was because of the way the photographer had said it, it was a bit like - lol! :-D alright, off to bed now... hope i can get my pc to work again tomorrow, so i can upload the pix+vids. ;-)
  4. thanx so much for the scans! really interesting to read. i found a lot to comment on, but it's time for bed now.
  5. thanx for this. ok, so no black lab, but a blond dog? maybe it's a cross breed between a black lab and a golden retreiver. or the black lab is gertrude. or there is no dog at all, which i think is most likely. one foot boy was the song about that imaginary friend, right? *one foot doooog, one foot dooooooooog...* ok, so now i finally know why the belfast gig felt like a rehearsal to me. it was. and also good to know why. i still enjoyed being there, i'd pay 40 euro any time again to watch a mika rehearsal. can't wait to get a scan of this article, and finally get to read the full interview.
  6. it's just 38 gigs i've been to though, not 39. yeah, it was me with the berlin pix of 2007 - but always depends on the place where i stand. i'd say, for pictures, statue_of_liberty and me are the best options, and for videos it's tiibet (and me, sometimes). all of us will be in prague, so no worries. unless you guys take all the good front row spots, then we won't be able to make good pix/videos. but now i'll leave you to talking in your own language again, since this is the thread for it. we can continue talking bout who takes which pix/vids on the prague thread if you want.
  7. ah yes mici, jackson 5 i want you back, they played that before some other gig as well. amsterdam? luxemburg? paris? all of them? don't remember.
  8. talking about me here, huh barunka? i have the mfc search function and google translate. i seeeeee yoooouuuu! no worries, tiibet will be there as well, so i'm sure you'll get your videos in any case.
  9. i suggested imma yesterday for the musician of the month voting, since mika & jimmy are in there, why should imma be missing? she only has 7 votes yet though, so get voting! (and while you're at it, vote for mika & jimmy as well ) http://tweeter.faxo.com/Musician_of_the_Month/2010/05?page=4 you can vote every 20 minutes.
  10. hmm, from what i remember, it always started after the lights had gone off, and led to those other intro sounds, like in this video: - so for me, it belonged to the intro. btw, another song i remembered this morning, think they played it 2007 or early 2008, was "sweet escape".
  11. most times he comes out after the gigs to sign autographs - but not always. anyway, it usually takes a while til he comes out, usually not before midnight. in paris it was even 2 am.
  12. i keep voting... also for jimmy (he's on page 2), and i just submitted imma as well - maybe we can get all 3 of them in the top 25?
  13. yeah, i think it was different in the rest of europe vs. the uk. or at least from the german gigs on, don't know about scandinavia... that was the intro song though, like the french song on this tour / zarathustra on the arena gigs. the ones i remember from the last tours are bare necessities (jungle book) on the US tour, and "a new soul" by yael naim, but don't remember at which gigs. from this tour i don't remember any others than the ones that have been mentioned here already.
  14. care to add the link to the forum in the first post, please?
  15. the only problem could be the security people, no idea whether it's allowed to bring these into the festival area...
  16. mika has dropped to no.3 in the last 30 minutes - keep voting! http://tweeter.faxo.com/Musician_of_the_Month/2010/05
  17. so he's still shooting everyone during LT then? *reminds herself to pack a water pistol for the summer festivals*
  18. aww, so good to see him on stage again - damn, i gotta look that i can make it to udine! is it just me, or has he changed the rain remix a little? or maybe it's just the sound mixing, that some parts come out more than before... mega-curlz at the press conference, and towards the end of the show none at all anymore... looks like it was hot there... picture quality is good, yes, but the synchronization of picture+sound is totally wrong there.
  19. the name is new though. hope someone will be able to scan the article and translate the interview, sounds interesting! and also would love to see bigger versions of the other pictures... t4p!
  20. since beauty and the beast is my fave disney movie - think i've watched it about 20 or 30 times in my life, 5x at the cinema alone... - i would've known the name of that horse without looking it up. and no, it doesn't talk... but it's a smart horse. when belle's father gets kidnapped by the beast, philippe runs to fetch belle to save her father. so basically, she never would've met the beast if it hadn't been for philippe. sigh, about this time 2 weeks ago we were let into the rockhal.
  21. yup, there's a lot of info & links in the kick ass support thread... while we're waiting for team mika's reply, that's what we all can do. and rose, i agree... but i just don't think we can make the radio stations play mika, if they don't want to. what we can do, of course, is tell them about mika's single, in case they don't know. and request it for request shows and listener charts. but we don't have any say in their playlists. what we CAN do though, is tell people about mika, so more know about his new music, and buy it, even if it's not played on the radio. if kick ass was played on all radio stations 5x a day, we wouldn't need to promote him.
  22. you mean, he'd make a little trip to munich between his gigs in marokko and istanbul? ok, mika, if you read this, we have a spare ticket for wouter hamel in munich next wednesday, wanna join us?
  23. tbh, i don't think it makes a big difference to the radio stations whether it's one mika fan or 100 who want to hear the song... of course fans want to hear songs of their fave artist. but radio stations have to serve the general public, not a bunch of fans. and then, we can't guarantee a certain amount of local listeners to the radio stations - and it makes no sense for a radio station in, say, ecuador, if someone from germany listens to them, and vice versa. i still think it's better if people send individual messages to radio stations, instead of mfc sending a message - this wouldn't make any difference. it could as well be mika calling the radio station, saying "please play my music, i have 2 million fans worldwide who bought my album" - and that's probably what the record company promoters tell the radio stations anyway - and it still doesn't help. in the end, every radio station decides for themselves whether they want to play mika or not, no matter how many fans write to them. the only way how we can really force them to play his music, is to try and boost the sales of the single. if a song is in the top 20 or even top 10, the radio stations have no choice but play it.
  24. they did tell mika's team about this - but don't expect an answer very soon, team mika runs on its own time. of course everyone can do things also without mika's consent. you can vote, contact your local radio station to request mika, buy mika's music and motivate others to do the same... just if we build up a huge organization on here, with slogan, flyers, etc., it might be a bit too much at once if it's done without mika's consent.
