  1. thanx everyone for your reports+pix+vids! well i'm a diehard and i still love the show bits very much. guess the main thing you guys mean is, like sara said, that the show shouldn't have a bad impact on the singing or mika's stage presence, and of course i agree with that. i still love it though when he's playing piano (i like the way he does it now, with the half of the song playing, the other half walking around), and i really really enjoyed the huge stage set in belfast, i was seriously standing there like at several times during the show, looking at that amazing book and the things they did with it. LOOOOL!! watched your vid, so funny!! :lmfao: fully agree. also i think, everyone who is on mfc more or less regularly should know about the numbers system meanwhile, and when they arrive at the venue, ask the people at the front of the queue for a number, if it isn't offered to them. that way you can also return to your place in the queue if you apply for LG/BG but don't get the job for some reason. having said that, a number should be offered to everyone though, as not all are on mfc and know about it. but up until about number 50 it has always worked so far, so it shouldn't be a problem. and i'd refuse to stand in front row centre if i got to be a LG at one of the gigs - i'm not forced to apply for that job, and i know about the positive AND negative sides of it and have to decide. either front row OR being part of the show - why should anyone get both?
  2. you can see the notebooks on your first pic, they're light green, 2 of them above the sign that says 8 pounds, between the white tour-shirt and the black sleeveless shirt with the feather on it. and i love the we are golden mug with the golden writing. might get one of those in munich.
  3. no idea, i haven't seen him wearing that lollipop necklace ever since, although he said he really loved it. and from what i've been told by mirtilla, who gave the stuff to him when she met M backstage, he really did like it, from the look on his face etc., and didn't just say so for not to hurt my feelings or anything. maybe he's just really unorganized and loses everything - you'll probably have to give him 3 of it, to make sure he'll wear it!
  4. yeah, like the braces i gave him in 2007, one of my first presents to him (it actually was a bag with several things in it) - they were made of shimmering white sequins, and looks like he immediately gave them to cherisse, as she was wearing them when the band came out to sign! well, i wasn't too sad, as he was wearing my lollipop necklace instead. a "maybe" from mika can as well mean a "no" though.
  5. wot, you really said that to andy?! that's too funny! i never noticed that, guess he was joking? edit: just saw your 2nd post about it, that's really strange, i have sometimes noticed at gigs that he was singing to my camera when i was filming, but when i took it down and looked him in the eyes instead, he immediately looked away. got lots of eye contact in ireland though, so atm i'm perfectly happy.
  6. i read that report, you didn't mention the kissing though - leaving out the personal details, huh?! shame you didn't realize - but well, maybe better that way, i mean, what would you do if you realized mika was kissing you?! i guess my knees would suddenly feel a bit weak, and i'd probably completely forget to keep dancing.
  7. thanx for your report ruth! so wasn't it a big problem that the BGs and LGs were front row? was it easy for them to get out when they had to? yeah you can be sure about the eye contact, he does indeed make lots at most gigs! i noticed in belfast that if you're right at the center, you get the most eye contact. and i noticed in dublin that it doesn't really help him with his lyrics when he's looking at you and you're getting them wrong. ooh, a feather from the dr john coat?! i want one too! that's my goal for this tour, get a feather from that coat. i never got any item from mika, only got cherisse's drumstick but not his. a feather would be perfect! sorry to hear that it was the last gig for you. don't wanna fly over for munich or dusseldorf or somewhere around here?
  8. wot?! how could i miss that?! i just saw the dancing part, but that's even better! did you even realize he was kissing you, or did you not see enough? full report about the mika kiss please!
  9. at the previous gigs, jimmy always gave mika the thumbs down for his trumpet solo, so mika showed him a middle finger in return. and well, jimmy did this absolutely hilarious trumpet solo, waving around with his arms like a loon, and when mika continued with his version of the trumpet solo, he showed jimmy a few middle fingers. not sure why exactly, the videos all show mainly mika so no idea if jimmy did anything else in the background. you really should watch it, here's a vid where you can see just that part, it's hilarious! oh, that's a different big girl! same corset colour though, he seems to like pink. was that pic from the manchester gig then? and why nespresso?
  10. who said that? on the 2007 german tour it was really relaxed, no one showed up before 4 pm, in berlin it was even 6 pm! it might be a few hours earlier in dusseldorf+munich this time, as it's saturdays and lots of ppl travelling there, but generally i expect it to be relaxed at the german gigs. but well, if it makes them happy to stand in front of the venue all day on their own, just because in certain countries/cities the queuing IS indeed crazy, then it's their own fault. i was stupid enough to do that in oakland, went there at 11 am (got a number around 10-15ish iirc), after me 2 more ppl turned up, and then no one else arrived til 5 pm.
  11. never seen that pic. about the middle finger(s), there's a video, it's stuck in the middle from... hm, sheffield i think? mika made jimmy do the first part of the trumpet solo, and showed him a whole bunch of middle fingers afterwards!
  12. yup, i think the first london gig will be like that, but not this one. 36 mfcers, they can all easily fit in the front row iirc - and i think some of them won't queue that day because they have to work and/or only have seated places. let's hope it'll be relaxed. i definitely won't be there in the middle of the night!
  13. i don't think he changed his mind - i think he likes his music to be distributed in both ways, for different audiences - as a download AND as a physical single, with the artwork. and i can really understand him that he's not happy if the record company tells him that he should forget about the physical single and artwork but it will just be download. i'm not happy bout it either, as i love collecting singles - CD as well as 7". why can't they at least release a ltd edition, for the fans who would be happy to spend the money on it? good about the haiti single though, i also bought 2 copies of it in belfast.
  14. it's mainly during love today, didn't notice it for other songs, but during LT it was very obvious.
  15. thanx for the vids! what has been changed about relax though, except for the chair-dancing? or was that what mfc suggested, some chair dancing? tiibet has made a fab video of relax, what do you need a memory card for if you have mfcers? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYOxjlWPUwo
  16. whatever the reason, i think it was the record company who decided it, and the way it looks, mika isn't really happy about it either (the way he reacts in the video looks to me like a "yeah i know and i don't like it but i can't change it and have better things to do than worry about things i can't change"). in any case, i think it's a stupid decision, as imo BIOTG is the most promising single from the album so far, because of the song and because it's released now during the tour. and not releasing it as a CD single is just the worst thing they could do imo. didn't mika mention in a recent interview that ppl used to buy cds for artwork but that now it's all about downloads? i don't think he's happy about it, we all know how important his artwork is for him as part of the whole thing. well, i don't know, maybe in the uk no one's buying cd singles anymore anyway, you hardly see them anymore at HMV. in germany it's different, i don't know about sales numbers, but i'm sure that a huge part of the single sales is still via cd-singles. here you still find them everywhere at record stores. i hope they'll release BIOTG as a cd single at least here, maybe next month for the german tour. well, i wouldn't bet on it, knowing german universal but i'm always optimistic.
  17. well that's just what you get when you're part of mika's world. a boy called alice, a male dog called gertrude, a cameraman called fluffy, and a keyboarder called sunshine. what means gender anyway? they have to learn to live with it.
  18. bump. deadline tomorrow. or let's say, monday evening german time, won't have time to do anything before monday evening anyway.
  19. maybe it is, but if you don't arrive in london sooner, you won't have a choice anyway, so why bother? i'll come to the venue around noon/early afternoon i think, but i won't aim for front row at this gig, will try to be a LG or if not, stand at the side as i'll be wearing my gray skelly costume with the big hat.
  20. ruth just posted a video of the sheffield m+g, where mika was asked about the single. it's at about 2:10:
  21. ah so that's why, i thought it was just ireland. asked at HMV in dublin but they didn't have it. WTF?! i love collecting singles, what should i buy a download for, if i'm not interested in remixes, and already have that song on the album?! well ok i'll do it for mika, but there's not many who will do that. i've looked on amazon websites UK, DE, FR - but it's not available anywhere, though for UK at least they have the artwork on the site. sigh.
  22. sunshine isn't a bad nickname though, is it? anyway in german it wouldn't be. like i said, i've never talked to david, so no idea what he's like. i just think he had a hard time when he started, because he replaced luke, who most of us really liked. and i think he messed up the relax intro a few times, and made gray skelly appear drunk. but he's not messing up any more things now, so that's fine. i also still wish that luke was still in the band, but it certainly isn't david's fault that this isn't the case. i'd love to know more about him, so i can see him as a personality in the band, like it's the case with the others.
