I just think that there has never been anyone like Mika. I mean... obviously I'm not trying to class him with Jesus Christ... because that would be wrong, and stupid. But certainly, in the world of entertainment, there has never been anyone like Mika. All other celebrities are in it for themselves and the money. They will do anything to get the fame and notoriety. Mika will not. I know that, on stage he plays to the crowd and is confident, but off stage, he is vulnerable and very humble. Even though he's had this great success, it has not gone to his head. He's a very private person, and I respect that, though I sometimes wish he'd lighten-up a little bit, for his own sake. He's a gorgeous guy with a good heart and a child-like demeaner. Someone is going to want to get with him someday, and none of us would mind who he chooses, as long as his partner really loves him. If I met Mika, I'm likely to want to mother him. He's two months younger than my son. But he is the most unique person ever in the world of entertainment. He's the most talented, and as far as I am concerned, He's a beautiful visionary who has introduced us to a wonderful new world, created by his songs and his vision. The world no longer spins in space, Instead, It spins in cartoon motion. Mika is throwing his worldwide party, On every shore, Of every ocean. Long live Mika!!! Love today, from Marilyn

I have had lots of correspondence from Mikasounds. I can't understand why no one else has. I know you have to be signed up to receive emails. I think Mika might actually have been Christened Michael Holbrook Penniman. I have read that this is his original name, but that he was always called Mica. I think Michael is his dad's name and he would have been given the name to honour his dad, but there couldn't be two Michaels in the family, so he was always called Mica. I could be wrong. I suppose it came as a shock to us all. It certainly was to me, to see someone actually performing with Mika, as an equal. We know he doesn't really need anyone else. But having read this thread, or at least the start of it, about the new girl, I can see why Mika chose her... and his reasons are typical for Mika. He's not selfish, and has never had the attitude of... "I'm the star, everyone else just works for me". He's always treated his band as equals and because he chose his band himself, they are unique, unlike any other backing group. It therefore, stands to reason, that when he sees someone with talent, like this young girl, he will showcase her talent. Once again proving that he isn't some male diva, but a beautiful man who beoieves in sharing his success. So, God bless Mika, and a warm welcome, from me, to Saranayde!

I would so love Mika to get with someone. I always think, he needs to be loved. Honestly, I wish he wouldn't worry so much. Everyone would be thrilled for him if it was true. It would be so exciting and so brilliant for the fans to think he had someone in his life. We'd all be happy about it. I watched my DVD yestrerday. It;s really gorgeous to look at and really stands out. Typical Mikatastic design. I love the concert and the documentary and am thrilled with the other extras as well. I am given to understand that doctors have found a foolproof way of finding out if a patient is brain dead, or not. They insert MP3 player plugs, into the patient's ears, play a Mika song, and if the patient doesn't respond, they send them straight to the mortuary. Love today, from Marilyn

Hi everyone! I've just looked at my new TV guide, and am thrilled to report that The World Music Awards will be televised on Saturday night @ 11.55pm, ending at 1.40am, so it's a good long show. I watched the DVD last night, it was brilliant! The concert was great, and the documentry, really good. I did feel sorry for Mika because of all the travelling around. In the concert, bless him, he made a mistake with Happy Endings. I've heard him make the same mistake before on some other concert footage. I think the problem is, that he wrote the verses the wrong way round. The first verse is "When I wake up in the morning" The 2nd verse is "Two 0'clock in the morning" I tend to think that the second verse should be the first verse. Mika is the very best there is. I am really going to enjoy watching the DVD, over and over again. And, like I posted before, if I see his DVDs tucked away, on any low shelf, at the back of any shop, I'm going to move them and I hope others do the same. Mika needs to be very visible! I didn't get those tickets. I lost the first lot, and bid for a second lot, but I couldn't go above £80, so I got outbid twice. I am disappointed of course, but I supose it shows how popular he is. one kind fan said she had a spare ticket and asked me to go with her, but I'm disabled (with a condition that causes episodes of confusion, which is why I hate computers) and I wouldn't feel confident without Alan with me, plus, I'd have to make my way home from Manchester by myself, and that would freak me out. Sometimes I do get a bit frustrated with Mika, for HIS OWN sake, really. He can't go on forever not talking about relationships... because... one day he's going to be in a relationship, and will be cutting-off-his-nose-to-spite-his-face if he doesn't say he's in a relationship. It would mean a secret relationship, and that would be no good. While I do respect his decision not to say anything, I kind of think, he could say what way he swings, but that he's not in a relationship yet. Then when he is, he could walk proudly with his chosen partner, and do the wedding thing. I know that's jumping the gun and just call me an old romantic. But i'd hate for Mika to miss out on a real relationship, just because he doesn't want anyone to know. It seems a shame, because he's so lovely, and I know I would love whoever he got with, just because that person loved our Mika!

I don't think one will be made. Especially NOT one with clothes that can be removed, etc. Perish the thought! Besides, from things that Mika has said in interviews, he's not into his own image. He doesn't like to even have his picture on the album, or DVD covers and as far as I am aware, there are no posters of Mika. He's done modelling, but is fussy about what he does. I actually think his attitude is fantastic. It's rare to find a celebrity that doesn't want to be called a celebrity, and doesn't want his face everywhere. Even thoiugh Mika's face is the only one that deserves to be everywhere. But I doubt that he would want to be made into a male Barbie, and to be honest, I wouldn't like them to do that to him either. I had ordered mine from Amazon, but cancelled it, because I didn't want to risk it getting lost in the post, and I knew I'd have to wait for at least two more days to see it. So I bought it today from HMVs in Manchester, and it was on a shelf, right near the back of the shop! (Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse had pride of place) and on the stand that it was on, it was on the next-to-bottom shelf. Was Marilyn going to put up with that? No way. I moved some other person's DVDs out of the way, and re-positioned Mika's at eye level. If someone had come to stop me, or ask what I was doing, I was ready for them. Mika's DVD should have been at the top in the first place!! Anyway, I left the shop, really chuffed with my handiwork. I am watching the DVD tonight, with a take-away and a bottle of wine. I'm really thrilled to see that the DVD has all his videos on as well and I am looking forward to seeing the documentary. I'll let you know my opinions tomorrow. Love today, from Marilyn

Hi Alice. I couldn't sleep, so I got up at 5am, worked a bit on a story I'm writing, then got onto Sofeminine, probably about 6am. to vote for Mika, and i couldn't get it to budge.
