2021 - Mika @ Philharmonie de Paris, 23 and 24 October

I've bought new pumps and the heels are 3" so I guess I'll be about 185-186 cm with them? That would be only 5 cm less than Mika. If I dare to wear them... (And I know I said before that I don't wear heels and that's TRUE but I really liked the shoes and the other heels were even higher.) -

Yeah I know, I wasn't complaining at all, only making fun that although I live in one of the tallest countries and my family is even taller than the average, we are not super rich... -

Tbh, I don't think it's just that because if you look at the list of countries with tallest persons, not all of them are the most prosperous... So there has to be more factors, also people in the north tend to be taller than people in the south. Btw, I'm 10 cm taller than the average woman in my country and about 4 cm taller than the average person. And I wish I was rich. -
I cracked up at the home-made confetti canons... That's hilarious!

That doesn't sound very customer friendly, she should have been happy about the possibility to sell a dress, I guess she wasn't the owner of the shop but with this attitude she can close the shop right now... -

NO WAY, last week I've been to the mall and there was a café that serves hot chocolate AND THEY PLAYED LOVER BOY! But it wasn't a Tesco café, it's called "Mondieu - Organic Bistro & Chocolat". It seems that Lover Boy & chocolate is a well-known combination all over the world. -

I had a dress like that for my prom night and I really felt like a princess even though it wasn't easy to get dressed, there was even a crinoline for the huge skirt so I do get why princesses needed servants... -

I'm sorry to hear that, sounds really complicated and exhausting, hopefully you'll get your passport soon! Btw, wouldn't it be easier to have an ID card in the UK? Just saying because without it, everything seems even more complicated than having one extra card. -

No, I don't think so, it's very elegant! OTT would be a dress like this... I guess that would be a little too much for this occasion. But your dress is suitable imo. -

I have to admit that the colours appear a bit different in the photos due to the bad lightning conditions – the dress is a bit brighter and on the other hand, the blouse is not as bright as it seems. Maybe it's better in this photo I took now: (The dress is new so I still kept the labels on in case I'm going to return it but I think I'll keep it... ) -

As for the mask, I have respirators in the colour of the first dress, for the second outfit I could probably buy a black one... -

I'm sure they don't really care about it so it's up to you. I think that your clothes are appropiate, personally I'd prefer the black trousers with the blue blouse, I think that would be a really nice combination. The shoes are fine too. So far I'm thinking about these two outfits, of course I'd need a jacket and I'd wear tights with the dress. The silver clutch would be the same for both outfits and I have new black pumps with tiny black rhinestones (but they are just a bit shiny so it isn't anything over-the-top). -

As the experts say, it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed so I wouldn't take the risk tbh... -

I've never been in Paris but from my experiences from France (last time I've been there was two years ago in summer on the French Riviera, which is probably also a more expensive area), for example average restaurants were far more expensive than in countries like Italy, Spain or Germany. The cheapest options for lunch/dinner was a menu for at least 25-30 € and of course, these weren't by far the most expensive restaurants. So it depends on your budget, but I would expect it will be rather expensive. -

That's actually my plan, to eat in the creperies, as it's usually the only affordable way for me to eat in France. And they offer both salty and sweet crepes. I remember being in Strasbourg with a friend, we wanted to eat a Flammkuchen (sorry, I only know the German name for it) and the restaurants were all super expensive. Then we found a nice creperie, where we ordered both a Flammkuchen AND a sweet crepe as a dessert for half of the price of the Flammkuchen in a restaurant. And it was both really delicious. -

Now that I got a seat near the red soles of Mika's Louboutins and his tailored Valentino suit, I have to dress up... I'll wear the less fancy outfit for the night in the balcony. -

23-24 October 2021: Mika @ Philharmonie de Paris - ticket talk
giraffeandy replied to Mikasister's topic in Before the Show
I just saw that your dress is just for 1500€ on Zalando now, 50 % off... -
@Reishu Nihei I'm sorry, the ticket is reserved now and is going to be sold... See the "current status", I'd change it to "free" if anything happens but it seems @Oxyton is going to buy it so it isn't available anymore.

They have a lot of sales now, wide range of brands from cheap to expensive and an easy return policy so that's why it's one of the few online shops with clothes I like... However, I actually prefer to buy clothes offline. But I haven't seen many nice dresses lately so I started to search online. I'm always nervous when I can't try it before and don't see the material etc. Photos aren't enough. -

Just to be clear, the only part I found funny was this one, the rest is rather sad... I'm glad that my only problem (apart from the pandemic situation of course which is still a huge worry) is if I should take the plane or bus and what dress I'm going to wear. I already returned one and today ordered another one...hopefully this time it will be a better fit. If not, Zalando is probably going to hate me and add me to their black list. -

Yes, especially the front chairs as I've never seen them in sale before. But I still kept my balcony ticket for Sunday, I think it might be interesting to see the show from a different perspective on each night. -

No, I'm sure they can't do that, once they sell these tickets they can't take it back. Yes, I'll do the same. -
@Estelle_ asked me first about the price for a friend but if they aren't interested, it's yours!
