    I was very confused about the multiple legs until I read the caption! Just because I love house plants doesn't mean I've managed to keep all of them alive. I had a spider plant in the bathroom, I realise now that I don't think that was the best place to keep it. The soil was constantly dry, so I may have over watered it more often than not Same thing with a with bonsai tree too... And sadly 2 of my favourite cactuses went to the big garden in the sky a while back Einstein and Flash will be greatly missed 😔 All the above talk of food though has made me hungry, so maybe I'll cheer myself up with a cold pizza!

    I got my book a couple of days ago! Yay! The Life of Birds by David Attenborough. Well worth the wait for this, I don't know if David will do more signed books in the future so I just had to have this! And the pictures are stunning, my phone camera doesn't do them justice 😍

    There's been times when I've wanted to talk about my plants but I've never been sure if anyone would be interested, I probably will get round to sharing some pics at some point. Thinking about plants, I would love to visit this garden one day here in the UK. https://www.alnwickgarden.com/the-garden/poison-garden/ I keep asking my Mum if we can go but it is quite far from me and it's also not recommended if you have health problems like asthma. So if I ever do go, it might be on my own and who knows if I'll make it out again! Again I wonder if your son, @mellody would be interested in this garden or would it be a bit much?

    Now this is the good stuff when it comes to cheese spread! It doesn't say on the packet here but it is cheddar cheese, has a good strong taste to it and works well on so many things! I tried it on crackers, biscuits and even a tea cake! I bought some at the start of the week and now it's all gone

    I know right? I like both ingredients but I'm not too sure about having them together This is what one looks like, but hard to say what it tastes like just from a picture!

    I usually don't like Christmas ads, I merely tolerate them... but this one sort of got me emotional, maybe because I love my house plants too much! 😅 (and I name them too, the venus fly trap in the ad is called Snapper btw!) John Lewis have said the message behind it is to embrace new traditions and that you don't have to stick to the same thing every year. However, I also see it as a way of showing kindness to someone that's different to you and embracing those differences!

    You're telling me the US doesn't have weird and wacky ads?... Yeah right! *gestures to the Super Bowl* Yeah those extra long ads are weird to me! (at yet I always end up watching them online at some point 😅). Anyway, with Thanksgiving coming up I've recently discovered that some Americans make a marshmallow and sweet potato casserole, that's one unusual food combination for sure!

    Don't know if we'll have a more general Christmas thread this year but I have to share this somewhere and also tag @mellody because I think your son will love this! 😁 Definitely up there as one of my favourite John Lewis Christmas ads!

    I've read through a lot of the comments that people have shared in regards to Mika's speech and it sounds like he really opened up and spoke about some hard yet relateable topics. However as a non French speaker is there any chance of an English subs version or an English transcription of the main points of his speech? I would really love to watch the whole video and actually understand fully what he's saying.

    Think I'll just share a rather embarrassing conversation I had with my Mum tonight. Embarrassing yes, but I can't stop laughing about it 😅 Me: I wouldn't have thought Durex would have done a Christmas advert this year, you know, the one with the bunny? Mum: 😳😳😳 What exactly have you been watching? Me: The TV ad, with the fast fluffy bunny... Mum: *takes a minute to think about this* Do you mean Duracell? Me: *realises mistake* 🙈 YES! I definitely meant Duracell! Why did my brain have to mix those two companies up?! WHY? I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere about bunnies and batteries but I think I've said enough for now... I'll see myself out... 😂

    Oh before I was referring to the exclusive white vinyl only being sold by FNAC at the moment. Hopefully I'll be getting that (thanks to a friend) and the blue one on December 1st! 😁 (It's definitely genuine so don't worry about your order!) But yes, it's annoying that the French Mika store hasn't updated any new countries yet to their shipping destinations, I'm hoping that will change OR the merch to be added to the UK store instead (that would mean lower shipping fees for me! 😅).

    I can certainly relate there (especially in recent times). I think Mika has a way of creating something so visually beautiful and appealing that it makes you feel like everything is going to be ok and that we're not alone in this, we're allowed to be happy even in the smallest moments when the rest of the world is in a dark place.
