Mine kind of does that too, but regionally. I sound more southern when I am around people that have southern accents, and more northern when I'm around people from the north.

It's actually really easy to switch accents and not even know it. When I went to France I talked to the people there with a French accent thinking they'd understand better, I guess. Then in Italy, I actually stayed with a family there for a while and then we came back to our group, we were all talking with Italian accents, it was actually really funny. The same with Greece. It's really weird how that happens...

I die because of his cuteness!:roftl:

and my english is poor, can anyone tell me what was he talking about Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco and My Chemical Romance??

He said that their songs are basically pop music with guitars. :original:

He's right about people being hung over from pop music in the '90s. I was a huge pop music fan my whole life, but the '90s sucked. When I was living in London I switched to listening almost exclusively to trance and other dance music because it was more reminiscent of good '80s music than anything on top 40 radio. Boy bands, girl bands, boy/girl bands...just a bunch of crap.

I'm so glad artists like Mika are actually making music again and it's not just all about marketing.

Ha, that happens to my fake English accent:naughty: It depends whether I've been listening to Capital FM all week or watching a Coronation Street omnibus. Even though I lived in London for 3 years I'm still better at a Mancurian accent from decades of watching Corrie.

I totally understand that!

Having grown up with an English mum and then visiting the relatives quite a lot

over the years, I find as soon as I'm in the UK for more than 10 minutes

my accent is very English and I start saying things like

"Cheers" and "Ta very much"

without thinking twice about it. In fact, when I'm here, posting with my

UK friends, I friend myself thinking in "Britspeak" and writing as though I'm

talking with an accent! Weird, I know. :wink2:

BTW, I loved this interview... as if I wouldn't/couldn't! Thanks for posting

it!

I absolutely agree! In my case non-English (British) English speaking! :-)

I'm American. I find it really difficult to understand most people with a strong English (England) accents, worse if they speak very fast, but I can understand just about everything Mika says/sings. :biggrin2: (Not everything, because sometimes when he sings really high, I'm not sure what he's singing--the words).
