I can exclusively reveal the cream of UK talent, plus a couple of adopted Brits, have been rounded up to record a hit from each year the music station has been going. Radio 1 has been a pioneer for pop music since it launched in 1967. Way back in the day, before CHRIS MOYLES, ZANE LOWE or in fact any of the artists were born, the station was pushing back the boundaries of popular music.
