I'm back now too and tired! AMAZING SHOW. Terribly pushy crowd. I got to know everyone more than we all wanted to, lol! I'm not dead though, so all is well!

Yes, that sounds like a Mika concert.

Take your time typing Hilary....I have all evening:naughty:

The venue was a HOLE, no joke! Mika needed more space and a better place. Not his fault though. No MFC fans on stage. Very small stage, and equipment was close. Sorry, I'm an oldling and a bit tired from waking at 7:00 a.m. with kids.

OK, while we're waiting for Hilary to type up her report, I'll just give you

the quick recap from Charlotte. Just got off the phone with her and

she's still very very excited! :biggrin2:

Well, I'll leave the details to her, but basically she said that Mika

said the show was the most fun he'd had in a while -- they totally

had to improvise everything. He didn't have his gear, his costumes,

his set... so they made it all up as they went. They scrounged around

the city for instruments, they made up a wild set, he just wore

his blue trousers and a white shirt -- his hair wasn't even curled.

Charlotte says she did take some good video and photos, so we'll

have those to look forward to as well. And she said that Andy was on

stage through the whole show videoing it.

And she got to speak with Mika after the show -- he was signing

some things but not doing posed pics, but hopefully someone got

a photo of him hugging her.

And a pic she sent from earlier today JUST now came through to me...

And now it's bedtime for me too!

The Morning of and The Que

so, i started off the day bright and early at 7:00 am. we didn't actually leave for salt lake until 9:30, and we got here at noonish without any incident. i got to my dad's house, and i sat and waited around, growing more and more edgy as the time passed. around 2:30, i began recieving texts that the trucks hadn't come in yet. okay, that's fine, they still have 3 and a half hours till doors open, they'll be fine. another hour passes, and Char texts me and tells me she ran into Mikey and Luke! She chatted with them for a bit, and then they said something about how there might not be a show. i nearly had a heart attack when i read that. i was pretty down, it took all i had to be optimistic. finally, 4 0'clock came, and my step mom took me into my dad's office, then from there, i went straight to the Venue. i saw there was already a line forming, so i hopped out and went to seek my fellow MFCer's. i was looking around, and then i spotted Katey (humpfree) and i ran over to where she was and gave her a huge hug. :bleh: so, she took me over to where the rest of the MFC was, and i met Charlotte and Carla (you both are amazing, by the way!) we all talked for a few minutes, then Katey and i went to pass out more of the hearts we had made. WOW. the people in the crowd were actually being very receptive to the hearts, and it suprised me. by this point, i wasn't as mad if they weren't going to have a show, i was with my new buddies! then we got the announcement that it was going to be ACOUSTIC. AWESOME!!! all of us freaked out and got super happy. well, the Q was FREEZING COLD!!! and someone brought us eggrolls, sorry, i don't remember your name! =X

the line continued to grow, and we passed out more hearts. I saw Jen (jennifer b) by then, and talked to her a bit. she was lucky enough to meet Mika before the show! none of us had seen Natalie yet, and it was getting close to doors opening, so we just waited. i finally talked to her, and she had been caught in some pretty horrid SLC traffic. X( but, she got there okay, and we all happily waited in the freezing cold for the doors to open. 6 o'clock started approaching, and we were getting really really nervous and excited!!! 6 came and went. then 6:30. finally, a security guy came out and told us we'd be going in at 7. grrr, this pissed me off, because i was FREEZING COLD!!!!

by then most of the hearts were gone, so we just stood by the door, Natalie was handing out her hearts, and then these really cool guys come over.....
