The Ting Tings

There's only one entrance to this club and there's a ramp from the street to the front door so the artists have to literally walk through the queue to get inside. Same thing when Mika played his first Toronto gig there.

Lucky you then for having them have to walk past you. I should start going to gigs in Toronto when artists start out :fisch:

Yes, just about the only advantage to living in Toronto over London when it comes to music!

They are playing in St. Louis July 31st. We didn't get tickets. We really love their music. Yesterday we went to Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis and they are going to be there and we think are going to play some songs and afterwards are going to sign cds and stuff. So we are sooooooo going since St. Louis is like an hour away. Although we didn't get tickets, we will see them anyway. YAY!:punk:

We saw The Ting Tings at Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ended up just going to the Vintage Vinyl in store performance and not to the Bluebird. It was so what we were expecting and more.

We had to work that day. We work at our dad's office this summer and we work 8 to 4:30 but yesterday we left at 2pm. We had to check some stuff out at a college and then to Vintage Vinyl at 6pm.

We were in the front row from the stage. We had the cd but we got an LP for the autograph signing after the performance. The cashier gave us 2 great posters. We walked in 20 minutes till 6 and got in the front. When they came out they had to walk right passed us. We swear you couldn't hardly put a piece of paper between them and us. It was so awesome. It was just them and their electric guitars. They sang and played so wonderful. They sang 3 songs and those were our favorite. They sang first, "Great DJ", second, "Shut Up And Let Me Go", and third, "That's Not My Name".

Then we waited in line for autographs. We didn't have to wait to long. It was our turn and we said hi to Katie and said can you make this out "To The Twins"? She said it to us in her accent "To The Twins?" and nodded her head and said "Oh." and laughed because she saw that we were twins. So Katie and Jules signed our LP. Jules was wearing that purple shirt and red sunglassed we LOVE.

So we got a few pics that turned out great. The people in front of us were the last people to get a pic with them. They had to hurry since their gig was at 8pm.

So we got in the car and called our mom and told her. Then we went behind Vintage Vinyl to get to another street and they were coming out of the stage door!!!!!!! We got a pic of that.lol

Then we accidently took a right instead of a left and had to circle around again and then we ended up being right BEHIND THEM. We were behind them for a long time even on the interstate. It was funny to just see the back of their heads.

So we had a BLAST. Here are the pics!!!!!!!

I saw them on TRL the other day. It was kinda weird 'cause I haven't watched TRL in years and had heard of The Ting Tings but didn't know who they were so I just happened to turn MTV on when TRL was on and just happened to see The Ting Tings. The guy was wearing a John Deere jacket which cracked me up because he probably did it as a fashion statement while people around here wear John Deere stuff because they actually own a John Deere tractor. :naughty:

Happy for all who got to see the Tings Tings up close! It's amazing to see artists in small, intimate venues! As I've said many a few times in the past that we won't get this with Mika for another 20 years or so - when he's older and doing casino venues. :naughty:
