Monie
Merci les filles ! Je me sens un peu boulet là !!! Even tho I didn't understand this completely, the smilie gave me a pretty good idea . Bonjours les filles, comment ca va aujourd'hui (that's a sentence I still dare to write ). Jeudi, je vais a l'école de théatre (again) je suis (looking forward to it) . Fanny, I did an auditionweekend for a part-time school of performing arts in Amsterdam and I passed. So now I am busy with the 2nd round, which will be 10 thursdayafternoons with classes like: singing, singingpresentation, solfège, acting and dancing. The only disadvantage of this school is that it is only 1 day a week. J'aime des mètiers beaucoup!!! Je voudrais les faire chaque jour! Mais ca (would) couter trop beaucoup d'argent. Alors, j' èspère de passer le deuxième (round) aussi! If so, I can start in september with the full 4 to 5 year lasting education. With some luck I might even do a part of the education in London! Mais d'abord je dois passer le deuxième (round) .

Monie
Merci tout le monde, pour les bonnes changes (and Biche for translating my text). I love your French, Monie. I understand every word. And the fact that you explain any problem words in English is marvellous. Bon chance pour jeudi Thank you. Tho your French is way better . Solfège is basic musictheory, Fanny already explained and it also involves klapping and stamping etc. And singing in 4 different hights (don't know how to explain it even in English ). The litteral translation of the Dutch word would be: 4 voices. I am soprano, someone else sings alt etc. Together with all those other voices my voice doesn't sound so bad . Ruth
Thank you. Tho your French is way better . Mais, monie, je parle seulement anglais et français. Tu parles trois? Solfège is basic musictheory, Fanny already explained and it also involves klapping and stamping etc. And singing in 4 different hights (don't know how to explain it even in English ). The litteral translation of the Dutch word would be: 4 voices. I am soprano, someone else sings alt etc. Together with all those other voices my voice doesn't sound so bad . Très interèsant. Les '4 different heights' would be pitches. Pitch I think.
Monie
Mais, monie, je parle seulement anglais et français. Tu parles trois? Très interèsant. Les '4 different heights' would be pitches. Pitch I think. Je parle Hollandais, Anglais, Allemand, Suise-Allemand et un petit peu Francais . Je voudrais parler Francais mieux mais je suis en train de pratiquer . So 4 voices would be Pitch? I know you can pitch a song (making it gow lower and slower or higher and faster. I did it once at my work, I let Mika sing Love today even higher ). And if people sing soprano, alt, bass etc. together one also would say pitch? Interesting.

Pitch is basically another word for note. When referring to Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass, you would say voices...i.e. when a choir director gives you a piece of music that is written for 4 voices, it means the music is written for 4 different parts. But pitch is to do with high sounds and low sounds, voice is probably people's range. I don't know.
Monie
Wow. I'm impressed. Je ne suis pas une experte! Voice? O.K. But pitch is to do with high sounds and low sounds, voice is probably people's range. I don't know. Don't be . It has been a while since I was talking German and Swiss German (with a Swiss family a child learns Swiss German quickly, even though she hears it only during family holidays) so I'd probably have to catch up on it before I can speak it fluently again. And my English, well, let's say it's far from perfect . But I am able to watch English TV shows and understand them and that's convenient. Let's say it's called 4 voices then .
