And as for Luna Park.. its pretty boganly...

maybe we can just stay on the outside then :naughty;

Sounds good. I'll probably only be able to make it on the 'official meet up' day because I'll be busy around that time - I'll be studying for my exams, my parents will be coming back from overseas and my sister will be getting her ENTER score (the IB students get it much later than the VCE students) and choosing her courses/universities etc. But the others can keep you occupied.

*whines and attempts to convince you to come to more*

Have a great time Beeyankarrr!!

Luna park. Definitely. We need to take Spice girl type pics for the petition book. All we need to top it off is a certain fluffy haired singer to schedule an acoustic gig. Suzy, you have accomadation here if you want it.

Nawww! Such pretty colours!

Spice girls type pics? Example? Just overly posey?

BIANCE! Have a f*cking amazing time! T'won't be the same without you...Here, take Luke and Paul with you to resucitate you if you get Poison Dart Frog poisoning. *shoves them in your suitcase*

:mad3:

Aww, thanks. *tells ambrose to make room for two more*

We can take pics being eaten by Luna Park mouth (the real one, not the Mika PDP imitation one)

Yes! Must! *instructs everyone to make lots more posed picture plans*

Yayness! Kooks in about a month!

*faints*

And can't wait to get pics with the chicken and do our vid!

*revives self and gets excited*

and we can get real footage of bogans in their natural habitat.

Btw, Beeyankar, will your friend be with you in Melbourne? I'd like to bash her around the ears for being a moron and calling the MFC "crazy/stupid"

Nope! She's going straight home from Costa Rica :groovy: She no likey the Kookies.

If you are/aren't gone, here is a parting gift Bianca!

anthony1.gif

:bow::das:

I can imagine Twatty doing the commentary

"And, now Bianca's friend is hypothetically bleeding from both ears"

Yeah, I thought it was a late flight? Sometime last night she mentioned having 27 hours to go.

:roftl:

3 1/2 hours to go! *should be sleeping*

Haha !! I had ! It's become another one of our random threads that she'll have to 'contend' with on her return ...

Maybe we should just do all our posting in here so that she's forced to read an insane amount of posts

I reckon if we tried we could get it onto part 2 before she gets back fisch:

Thanks guys!

OMG photographic evidence ...hope you have a wide angle lense!

I do! I do!

3am...but she told me she was going to be on tonight anyway!

That was beore I realised how ****ING much stuff I still have to organise!

Nope! Tanya has already told her she's not touching the car or any electrical appliances

Although, OKD has already told me that she needs 4GB of memory on my computer to burn her stuff....so I'll just wrap it in bubble wrap and hope for the best

BTW! I no longer need 4gb of memory! I have discovered in my very last minute emptying of my video camera, that I can burn straight to DVDs!

She is gone, she is gone, she is gone!

:sneaky2:

Mine's especially for uni students, you can even get credit to your course if you want (but I'm not). But it costs lotsss of money, well, maybe not so much if you do one in Europe, most of my money went to the airfare

http://www.isvonline.com/

Well, I want to finish my uni first cause otherwise I would worry about it all the time- that's just how I am. Maybe I could go to a work camp as it doesn't last that long but once again it all depends on my exams (I can't afford another year like this one:fisch:). But I definitely want to go somewhere for a longer period when I'm finished with my uni for good (if ever:naughty:).

Well, once again- have lots of fun, and I look forward to your reports.:wink2:

Ahh, I know what you mean. I finished my exams like a few days before I left, pending trips offer lots of distractions :naughty:

Oh yeah, so, like, I'm in Sydney and stuff!

And now it's night time. And there were presumably free computers in the hostel, but only two, and people were using them, and there were all ... people sitting around in the room they were in. And waiting there would have required socialising with strangers, and I don't socialise with strangers. So instead I walked down the road to the first convenience store with internet. I have no idea how much internet is supposed to cost, but this is $1 per 10 minutes here, and I plan on staying until at least 9 to see if Petra comes online, lol. I should have waited until nine to come here, but I forgto about the time difference ... and there were people in my room, and staying there would have required socialising.

Anyway! OkD style report! Oh yeah, btw, I forgot the usb cord for my camera, so i can't show any pictures. Whcih also kind of sucks because they aren't measuring my MB usage here, and I could have uplaoded the MASSES of pointless pictures I took today so I could delete them. lol. I'll have to buy a card reader tomorrow or something.

Well, so of COURSE I was late and my dad sped the whole way to get there in time, then I checked in with few hassles, then my dad walked me to the security gate, said bye, i went through, and then was like "wahahhhh where's my gate?" and asked people and uh, somehow I'd ended up in totally the wrong place and had to go out the security again, go to the other side of the airport and go through securiyt again. :roftl: And I kind of speed-walked and made it JUST in time *pbs*

When I walked on the plane Teardrop was playing! (Original, not Mika's :naughty:) Then I attempted to sleep. (Oh yeah, did I mention that I got a total of about 20 minutes sleep before leaving?), all I ended up with was a sore neck, though. And no sleep. The sunrise through the clouds was prettyyyyy, but theni wasn't sure if I was allowed to take photos before the seatbelt sign went out, if cameras count as "electrical devices" ... and by the time the light went out the sun had risen fully :crybaby:

And then, when the plane had landed and we went to get off Teardrop was playing AGAIN!

I went to get my bag and then started gettign masses of messages/calls from my dad and petra :naughty: And I had to tell them to shutup so I could call the hostel to use their free shuttle bus service. They said where to go to and that someone would come in 15 minutes. an hour later I called them again and they seemed a bit shocked that no one came and said they would make some calls. And then some crazy guy walked past talking to a mobile in some crazy language (later found to be hebrew) but randomly threw in "headquarters" and "bianca",a nd I looked up and then he motioned for me to follow him to his dodgy old bus that was manned by another guy who could speak no english. I was joined by an american girl who also complained of waiting for ages, but she was going to a different hostel, so i dunno how that works .. whatever. We weaved in and out of crazy roads at at least double the speed limit in our crappy old bus. And I saw several real life homeless slums, with cardboard houses and everything. Which really freaked me out. There are a LOT of homeless people in Sydney. :boxed:

Well, eventually I was dropped off at my icecream coloured hostel, and I walked in and it said the reception was closed until 3, but then a guy walked behind the desk to help me. Then for somereason he started taslking german at me, and I was like "???" And he just kept re-asking things in german, and then he was like "You're german aren't you!?" and I was like "wtf, no?? um ... I'm australian", and then he started talking english. Then he gave me a short tour and gave me my sheet and blanket and showed me my room. The room was a COMPLETE mess (and thats sdayign somethign coming from me, really). There was a naked blow up woman duct taped to my bed. Oh yeah, Tegan, you have to pay a $20 key deposit when you get there. Eurgh, and I was reading somethign that said if you check out after 10am then you dont get the deposit back, which totally sucks. But the place seems fine, pretty clean and stuff. And the chicken painting is still there :das:

Damn, it's 9.08 :naughty: Oh well *keeps going*

By the ime I got the the hostel it was .. 2.30 or so, and it was extremely hot. It was raining in Perth this mornign, but it's gross and hot here, so i changed my outfit 4 times trying to figure out the coolest/comfortablest ensemble :naughty: then I tried finding a map, unseccussefully, so I just started walking down the road in what seemed like the city direction. Something liiike 500m up a hill is Kings Cross station, which I decided to go in simply because ... well, it's got the same name as the station in Harry Potter :naughty: Then I looked at the ticketing machine for about 20 minutes before blindly stabbing and ending up with a return standard ticket to the next station along, which was at least closer to the city and such. I guess. The tickets work just like the ones in Harry Potter - so cool. You know, how it sucks it up and then shoots it out further along (and mr weasley just touches the thing with his hand :roftl:). I thought it was brilliant fun, and I was really dissapointed when it ate my ticket at the end of the day. I was really looking forward to it shooting out again (and I wanted it as a souvenir)

Soooo then I got out in the city and saw a gigantic Christmas Tree further down, so i walked towards that. It was pretty gigantic. There were heeaaps of those news kiosk things just like in the movies. I was very excited and took photos. Then I started walking down a road that I "sensed" would lead towards the Harbour (which I had the rough plan of going to, because the only thing I know is in Sydney is the Harbour bridge and the opera house). I saw a krispee kreme (or however you spell it) store. Got excited by that as well, because we definately don't have those in Perth, and it's so cool and movie like. I did the same when i saw a starbucks later on :naughty: I went to go in there to buy a donut just for the heck of it, but then they didnt have prices written out and I wimped out and left. I found a peculiar art installation in a random alley way. And took photos of it. I foudn a MASSIVE dymocks store, and went in to look for the "lonely planet costa rican spanish phrasebook" (because I read on the back of the other phrase books that it exists, so i want it and not some lousy "normal spanish" one), and they had like 3 isles devoted to lonely planet book AND THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE IT! :mad3: But I assume they would sell it in the airport in Costa Rica or soemthing. I have no given up hope yet.

I kept walking down that road and, to my amazement it actually did lead to the harbour, as I suddenly spotted a bit of the harbour bridge between the massive buildings (the buildings are quite massive here, I think). *realises how much money she has already spent on the internet and decides to hurry it up a bit*

So I walked in the direction fot he Harbour Bridge. Spotted the Opera house on the other side and wondered htf I could get to it. Met an awkward european tourist who asked me to take photos of her infront of the bridge and opera house, and she took pictures of me, but we had to wait AGES for a reaaally slow ferry to get out of the way :lmfao: Then i kept walking towards the bridge, saw a sign pointing towards some kind of "pilon lookout", which silly me assumed would mean soem way of climbing the pilon ad being able to look out fo it, but I walked right aroudn the pilon and saw nothign of the sort, although i did spot Sydney Luna Park on the other side of the harbour, and took pictures of it :naughty: I wondered vaguely how to get there too. Theeen, I walked back to the city through the Rocks, and saw a christmas tree made of chairs.

Then (I shoudl come up with a better sentence starter than then, but I haven't slept in like 48 hours so shut up :naughty:) I walked around the harbour to the opera house. I took pictures of it. And then I finally broke down and stopped caring what anybody thinks of me. And I took pictures of myself infront of the opera house. I don't know if you know what the front of the opera house looks like, but pretty much anyone in all of sydney can look towards the opera house and see someone standing on the opera house steps and tell what they are doing :naughty: But as I mentioned, this si the point where I stopped caring.

From there I walked to the botanic gardens and found a hilarious statue of a satyr, and took hialrious pictures with it (in very clear veiw of practicall everyone in the park), and then I went on to take some more pictures with another statue (but using the self timer this time :naughty:) And theeeen it was getting pretty late so I attempted (although, did I mentiont hat I had no clue where I was? :naughty:) towalk back to that train station that I had a return ticket for (I don't know how a return ticket works, but i can only assume it means you can go from one station to another and then back fromt hat station again), and, amaxingly, I suddenly found me self back at that very station. And i was very pleased with myself :naughty:

Yeah, then i found some dinner and went back to the hostel and then came out here. End of story, I shoudl stop wastign my money now, BYE!!!!! I fly to LA at 12 tomorrow! Woo! I am considering walkign up th hill the to train station instead of that psychotic shuttle bus.

Loved the Sydney report Bianca. I hope you keep a diary in Costa Rica, cos I expect this amount of detail about the whole trip!

You seem to me like a mugger's dream though. Wandering around with nary a clue and just trusting to dumb luck to get you where you need to go. Good thing for you, dumb luck seems to be on your side!:naughty:
