My views on the matter:

They are a bit confused, really. What I mean is that on one hand, I have what I would like to see on the blog, which is what I enjoy, but on the other hand, I also get the feeling that he's already bored of it and finding it too much of a 'chore'.

i dont think he's bored of it. i remember reading on his new year's post that he spent time thinking of what is best to post as the first blog of the year. if you find something boring you dont bother thinking too much about it and try to make it as good as it can be, you just write a few random words to be done with it as quickly as possible.

My favourite all time blogs are the ones that he did on these rare occasions where he just rambled on about the most mundane things. Examples that I can think of right now are:

-The old blog in 2007 about his plane trips and GK going to number 1

-The one from the US where he spoke about his unwashed hair experiment

-The one where he answered all those fan questions

And I’m sure that there are plenty more, that I am not recalling, but this gives an idea of what I’m talking about. Basically just ‘normal’ talk, not necessarily news, just an insight on what he is thinking or feeling, and how he sees life.

Guess we all love that kind of blogs !! :wub2:

Don't think I've ever read the 2007 one, do you have it by any chance??

:naughty: I created a monster...

Sorry Mika, if that song was supposed to be the ace up your sleeve. (justifiably so!)

What? I said I'm sorry. unknown.gif

It's probably as much a piece of evidence for him being gay as Billy Brown.

I mean, I don't find it far fetched that he treats himself by singing his stuff to himself ... however...

Okay, I think I need to come out of the closet here, admitting that I apparently am not familiar enough with LiveICM ...

Where do I find that bit?

Let's just find all the snippets and edit them together :naughty: - Who needs a new album?

And as usual we/the MFC takes things in their own hands to have it done!:naughty:

I just love your smileys, you really have the ability to put them in the right context

From what I can see, or how I interpret Mika, he seems to have these bouts of genuine and crazy enthusiasm for new things, which is when he dedicates himself to them 1000%, but after a while he gets bored with them, and then that's it. New project, new leaf, new excitement, let's move on :naughty:.

At the start, he was on top of his myspace page, then he seemingly got tired of that and discovered the blog, then he seemed to be doing stuff with his YTube page all the time, and now...well, IMO he seems to have lost that drive a little.

Maybe all his excitement is now channelled towards his new all singing all dancing site, or the new album and tour, or who knows.

Some people just function that way, having a hard to time finish project and their head always filled with new bright ideas. :naughty:

Some says it’s the character if Aries, well Mika isn’t, he’s borne in August....

Not that I put a lot of credence in astrology but I think it’s funny!:wink2:

And let’s really hope he’s putting a lot of his energy and focus right on the things you mentioned, the next album and a coming tour.

Maybe there is some hope of a light in the end of the tunnel after all!:biggrin2:

That'll be the one where he was listening to Patrick Wolf on his iPod, and thought one of the flight attendants was a bit snotty!

I must admit, only a few of Mika's blogs have taken my interest... one was the sledding video, and the other was the one where Mika answered questions... the others have been a bit on the boring side TBH...

Like Sara, I'd much prefer to hear more about him as a person... If I wanted to hear about artists and musicians and such, I'd just take more notice when MFCers are talking about bands/singers/etc...

WHO WAS AT THIS GIG!?

I MUST KNOW MORE!!!!!!!!

I was, but he didn't sing it at the gig. it was during reharsals, that were filmed for this all music channel special.

I hear

"put your heart back in your pocket..."

and

"he don't love you anymore so (get up off the floor?)"

HE don't love you anymore? What does this mean?

THIS SONG IS SO DELICIOUS!

same here, Live ICM is good but I don't like it remotely as much as I like the pdp documentary bit.

can someone explain where that bit of song stand..?

sara i agree 100%

i'd like to read about the human being, not much the art octopussy with tentacles everywhere....

and maybe it's exactly the other way round for him!

funny enough, I never saw that much honesty and opening up his heart in the answers to our questions blog. I mean, the usual I-tell-what-i-want-and-they'll-believe-it mika-kinda way :wink2:

So anyway, that was the part of how I perceive it, the 'reality' (assuming that I'm correct, of course, which I may not be).

I with it agree. It seems to me, He is easy on rise, on new ideas but when He realizes, that His hobby-entertainment turns to a duty it starts to tire Him. And it is possible, that our groans about new blogs only press on Him... As I understand, He wished to share with us that is interesting to Him personally. Not under our order. On myself I know, sometimes up to a nausea it would not be desirable anything to write....

He writes that is really interesting to Him. Also divides it with us. To speak " you write about youself, but about artists we'll read in other place " it not so beautifully. Certainly, I very much wish to know that He does.... Where went, whom met... Very much. But Thank God, He not so is primitive.

Don't think I've ever read the 2007 one, do you have it by any chance??

I am quite sure that I have it copied somewhere, so I will just have to look for it. Will post when I do!

That'll be the one where he was listening to Patrick Wolf on his iPod, and thought one of the flight attendants was a bit snotty!

Yeah, those ones.

I loved it when in the one from San Francisco, he said 'I sit here gorging on junk food from the minibar, quietly elated', and something about how things panned out and that 'life is a funny thing'.

Something about those blogs was so fresh, genuine, and gave a glimpse ito the 'Real Mika', that I just loved.

As I said, I have them somewhere, so I will search for them :thumb_yello:

oh, that's milano!! I had completely forgotten about it!

my god, the memories..

we never knew what that song was.. I can spot a bit of the lyric that says he doesn't love you anymore..

I wish it was a song of his and we'll have the priviledge to hear it sometimes...

I hear

"put your heart back in your pocket..."

and

"he don't love you anymore so (get up off the floor?)"

HE don't love you anymore? What does this mean?

THIS SONG IS SO DELICIOUS!

If you listen closely starting at about 4:45, you can hear really softly the song that he sings in LiveICM, something about "then she falls in love and throws it all awayyy..." Remember that part? I guess that's the beginning of the song...?

TAHT'S WHAT I THINK TOO! You don't understand...I've played that part over and over again. Just to hear those chords.

YEP! I'm so glad I finally heard more of it!

*hopes it's on the new album...*

I found out about something yesterday.

That song...... I watched that video again yesterday but never really noticed that thing I noticed yesterday...anyway, at about 5:33 here http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=VoMt0SJ_Khw if you listen veeeeeery closely, you can hear something like: "cold heart", I don't know exactly.

And, after I heard it, I actually remembered something about that bmi repertoire thing, you know, there was a whole thread about it once, where we discovered, that Mika actually sung the backgroud vocals on one of Eros Ramazzotti's song, "Ci parliamo da grandi", blablabla.....so, going back to the matter, on that list of Mika's songs, I could recall a song called "Cold heart".... it's here, if you don't know:

http://repertoire.bmi.com/writer.asp?fromrow=1&torow=25&keyname=PENNIMAN%20MICHAEL%20HOLBROOK&querytype=WriterID&keyid=976175&page=1&blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&affiliation=BMI&cae=477236431

AAAnd, all in all, I think it may be actually the "put your heart back in the pocket" song! Well, that's not veeeery remarkable news, but always better to call that song with shorter title, isn't it? As long as we're not sure, let's call it Cold Heart..... nice :roftl:

Andddd, as you can see from the number of the BMI work (8537629) it was written not a very long time before the "Rain on me" song (8537945)

, which, I assume from the big amount of mistakes on the whole page may be Rain, so there IS a chance, that it will be on the next album.... isn't there? Well, let's hope at least... :fisch:

The end of my deduction, thanks for reading.

Yeah, lets hope for that song on the new album!:wink2:

I love it more and more....or maybe it's the lack of listening to his voice in some new material for so long that makes me soft...

Good job Ada!:thumb_yello:
