Giulietta
Posted on August 7th, 2009 on Mikasounds What’s in a name? Well quite a lot actually. That’s why Mika has changed the title of his album. No longer ‘We Are Golden’, Mika has retitled it ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’. Not only that he has completely redesigned the cover too. ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’ is out September 21, preceded on September 7 by the single ‘We Are Golden’. The tracklisting remains the same. suzie
If it is, it is taken from The Simpsons, I guess. It was the title of an episode in the 1990s.

I've heard it somewhere before as well, but not on the Simpsons. I thought it was quite a common phrase...

Mika loves the Simpsons, so that's why I thought the idea came from there and the plot of that episode:wink2: But I'm sure he'll explain:biggrin2:

RAK1
I love it, the artwork reminds me of the kind of art my friends son did in his teenage years, so very apt.
Droopsy
Is that bearded guy (?) on the cover supposed to be Van Beirendonck??? Lord, how much promotion does he get
suzie
I LOVE THE ALBUM COVER ..Similar concept as the first cover but of course it is different at the same time. I love when artists have a clear and original visual trademark, too:thumb_yello:

CazGirl
That's definitely the new album title, but I think at the moment I prefer "we are golden" Love the artwork though...again quite similar to LiCM...I also wish Twitter was working, thank God it's not just me! B!anka
is this the title of the new album? ... Check this new stuff in the music section of mikasounds shop!! http://mikastore.sandbag.uk.com/Store/DisplayItems-5-0-0.html This is OUR (my) BOY!!!!!! It makes a LOT more sense...the cover is unbelievably awesome: it looks a lot like the first one THOUGH it has these colors of blue specific to a teenage boy...whereas the first one had vibrant ones... It truly is the continuation... besides: "The boy who knew too much" (do you get what I mean? )

tauruslady
I really love this space theme he seems to have, I never thought I'd see a spacey Mika album, it's so exciting! The random black and white photo of him reminds me of the tiny photo on LICM The whole cover looks a bit like LICM part 2 actually. I like. Anzuzu
If it is, it is taken from The Simpsons, I guess. It was the title of an episode in the 1990s. Scooby Doo! I was thinking the same. I really like the title! Not just because it refers to Simpsons but the style of it reminds me of David Bowie's album title 'the Man Who Sold the World'. Very 70's! And that artwork is really cool... Just perfect.

My opinion: it describes perfectly what a teenager feels: he knows TOO much sometimes and all he wishes is to hide away...I'm talking from the perspective of a girl who knows too much!
