Oh I hadn't seen the bump until you bumped the bump. :naughty: I'm actually glad I wrote that. I'd already forgotten half of it. :aah:

Forget?! How can you, if there is video evidence of a lot of it :lmfao:

Oh no of course you didn't. I don't think even Mika coming to your hospital room to sing you a lullaby is enough to compensate for having a stroke. :aah: I'm sure anyone would rather have their health! I was very proud to call myself a Mika fan when he acted as soon as he got off the plane and sent you those flowers and I, for one, loved hearing all about it. He's a good pop star. :wub2:

Since Vanessa is now asking in other threads for people's experiences I will risk the "I hate you" comments. :teehee:

Probably my two best experiences were the secret gig in LA and getting to work with him before the North American tour.

When Perez came onto MFC and told everyone to keep April 14th and 15th free because something special was going to happen I started convincing everyone I could to come down to LA even though we didn't know exactly what was going to happen. After an interminable Mika drought and with the prospect of hearing new songs, I knew I'd regret it if I didn't go. And Mika did not disappoint!

Not only did he put on a free show where he performed the new songs in a little club, but he made sure that MFC got the royal treatment which was one of the first signs of love from him since he'd taken over ownership of the fan club. :wub2: They took us aside and made sure we had our wristbands before they handed them out to the general public and they saved wristbands for the few people who were still travelling long distances to get there in time for the gig.

Through a bit of a mishap we ended up missing out on a chance to speak to Mika at the ice cream truck and everyone was disappointed. But a couple of hours later Mika sent me a message on Twitter and asked me to let the other MFCers know that he wanted to say hi the next day.

Because he had greeted fans all day at the ice cream truck he didn't come out to sign autographs after the show, but true to his word he arranged for 15 MFCers to stay in the venue after the show so we could have a private meeting with him.

Since the secret gig was all so last minute most people didn't have gifts or things for him to sign so we just had a nice chat with him. I was able to introduce myself properly and actually say a few things to him that I'd wanted to say but never thought I'd get the chance because there were always so many people waiting to talk to him.

I was able to thank him for the champagne that he'd sent to our Christmas party a few months before and told him we'd had a great time. He said he hoped so because he'd spent enough money to get a lot of people very drunk. :roftl:

I think a lot of fans probably wish they could tell Mika how much they love his music but since he's heard it a thousand times before I never thought I would get to say it in any kind of meaningful context. But I was one of the first fans to speak to him after he debuted some songs from TBWKTM so when I told him I loved the new songs and they were everything I had hoped they'd be he said "Are they really? Oh good!" and seemed genuinely pleased.

He had been wearing a rocketship pendant at the ice cream truck the day before and I had been seriously contemplating buying it for him for months but didn't get a chance to pick it up before I came to LA. I asked him if it was the same pendant I thought it was and he said yes and that he actually had two of them. A close friend and a relative had each given him one as a gift and he had to make sure whenever he wore it that they weren't in the same room together. :naughty:

This led to someone asking him about the pendant he was wearing at the moment and he told us it contained perfume. He opened it up and put some of the powder on our wrists so that we could smell it. It was an old Victorian powdery type of scent. Whenever he talks about collecting smells now it makes me smile thinking of him wearing one around his neck and sharing it with us.

He told us someone had informed him about our discussions on MFC where everyone was saying that a wrinkled jacket he had worn to an event was ugly. He said "I like that jacket, so piss off!" :lmfao:

I told him the jacket actually looked better when it was open and he said that I was right, because he's so tall when he has it closed he "looks like a dick". :teehee:

Someone asked him for a photograph and he said we'd do it at the end so he could continue having a proper chat with everyone. Before he left he took individual photos with all of us and then a couple of group shots.

(Okay sorry this has gotten ridiculously long now, I'll have to make another post about the North American tour. :naughty:)

Amazing story ! Thanks for sharing ! :wub2:

Ooooh, good! I wish he had... there was heaps of room im my ward to perform for him.. all he needed to do was bring Martin along to play guitar and I'd have been happy!

He's such a good pop star... And I still grin like an idiot when I think about him sending me flowers :biggrin2:

Aww, I hope you will be better always , from no on :wub2:

I didn't meet him for 2.5 years so I think I know how you feel. People in places like South America and Russia thought they might never get a chance but it eventually happened because Mika makes himself available as much as he can. You just have to hang in there. :huglove:

you're so kind! :huglove: fingers crossed ur psychic too..:wink2:

I know that feeling... It took me 4 years to finally meet him, so believe me, I know what it's like to read all the wonderful stories and wishing for a moment like those.

I'm sure you'll meet him someday too, just be patient! :wink2:

My favourite moment must be Eden, on stage and backstage:wub2: Did I mention he said I was great?:mf_rosetinted:

And after Compiegne, when an insane amount of people were waiting and I squeezed myself through the crowd to give something, still with many people in front of me and he looked up and smiled and said: Oooooh hiii!

Or nooo Liege is also a favourite. "What the **** are you still doing here? This is amazing":naughty: and when my camera refused to work: "Sort your **** out! You've had hours to prepare!" and the even awesomer: "I love to see all of you over and over again!":wub2:

Aww you're all too nice, you give me hope :wub2: If he doesn't come here, I'll travel. HA! :mf_rosetinted:

And thank you to everyone who shared those wonderful stories, they're just more proof that Mika isn't just a great singer, but a great person as well <3

He is! :wub2:

When I met him for the first time, last year in Lisbon, he was so incredibly patient with us that I kept wondering if that was real. :blush-anim-cl:

We had been offered a M&G backstage by the promoter of the show (we prepared a surprise for Mika, and they gave 4 of us the M&G as a "reward") and we were the last to go in, after the dozens of people who had won contests and stuff.

I was SO. NERVOUS. :aah: I think I talked too much, babbled too much, said all kind of crazy things and may have drooled a bit too, but he was SO KIND, SO PATIENT, SO...EVERYTHING! He was tired, we could tell, and he was probably dying to go to the hotel and have some rest but still, he managed to talk to us for about 10 minutes and take individual pics with us.

The day before the show, we had been to his hotel to leave a bag with pastries and chocolates for him, and we asked him if he had liked them :aah:. He was like "IT WAS YOU?? I loved them! Ate everything!!!" :roftl:

He thanked us a million times, and actually thanked specifically the fact that we didn't stay at the hotel waiting for him. (If he'd only knew...we were PANICKING, afraid that he would appear at the lobby and see us! :roftl: Seriously, we couldn't be stalkers, even if we wanted to! LOOL)

After meeting him, we had the amazing bonus of meeting iMMa and Cherisse, and talk to Mrs. P. for a few minutes too (incredible lady :wub2:).

It was my dream M&G. Everything I could ask for. I just wish everyone would have an experience like mine, really! (Thank you Mika!):wub2:

John didn't call me anything, but I'm pretty sure he thought I was demented.

(well...he was not far from the truth... :teehee:)

Hehe, well he wanted me to snog with Miek:mf_rosetinted: Mother and daughter were chosen as LG & BG, so another girl said: Yeaaah but she is my friend. And mama P said no. So I just pointed randomly and said: Yeah well she is my lover! And then john said: Oh yeah? Prove it!:mf_rosetinted:

You will get your chance. :huglove:

It seems like a lot of the time it is luck that you see him (when he does shows in your couuntry of course :wink2:). The first time I met him, we were lucky that the roadies told us that he was coming as we probably would've sat back in line if he hadn't arrived when he did... and the second time, well the MFCers have dcdeb to thank for that as she was the one that was kind enough to help the Aussies out with a meet and greet. All I did for that was hand out the M&G stickers.

Oh wow, all that talk about MFC is surreal. The squirrels.

I miss the porn server sometimes. :tears:

Didn't the porn server crash all the time? Or was that the one before that?

Amazing story ! Thanks for sharing ! :wub2:

Aww, I hope you will be better always , from no on :wub2:

Well, I hope that I never have to go through that again, though the flowers were a big surprise (it was unexpected, but very welcome)...

Though if Mika wants to do a mini concert for me next time I get sick and end up in hospital, I certainly won't say no! :wink2:

I *thought* I had seen this thread before -- didn't realize until

I started reading it that it had been bumped. But that's OK, it's a good thread. :thumb_yello:

Drooled?!

Mary, I don't think I knew that this was the first time you met Mika! Or, if I

did I forgot :wheelchair:

It was my dream M&G. Everything I could ask for. I just wish everyone would have an experience like mine, really! (Thank you Mika!):wub2:

What a great story. :wub2:

I feel that way about the first time I met him as well, in DC. Even though he

was ill, he was incredibly patient and sweet, and we had such a deliciously

long time with him, inside, in the warm and relative quiet (as opposed to

outside on a street), where he signed personalized autographs for everyone

and took lots of photos and chatted at length -- it was just the

best. I do wish every Mika fan could have a special moment like that.

:fangurl: Although I'm sure poor Mika would have to circumnavigate the

world several dozen times to make that happen! :naughty:
