mellody
monie, i love that pic of jimmy with the sunflowers, really beautiful! :-) couldn't find the energy to write a report til now, due to all the discussions in the other thread, but i've uploaded my pix+vids now, and can post some impressions of that day, for those who want to read it. ;-) about the show i agree, it was good, but we had the feeling that mika was in a weird or bad mood. don't think it was just the tiredness, he must've been at least as tired the following day in poland, and from what i heard, that show was absolutely fantastic and energetic. :-D maybe it was the crowd, apart from the mfcers it just didn't click between them and mika. and i guess he gets lots of his energy on stage from the crowd. for the first time in ages i stood on jimma's side of the stage, 2nd instead of 1st row for a change, since because of working on the present til last minute, we only arrived at 1pm. imma was so sweet, when they left at the end of lollipop, she took a (full) water bottle from the stage and gave us an asking look whether we wanted it. she then threw it, but it went too far, so those behind us got it. didn't matter though, as we had enough to drink in the car. :-) mika said before SITM that this was the last festival of the tour, and the day after wouldn't be a festival but a gig. this confused us a bit, and well, indeed we were right and he was wrong. i was absolutely tired and knackered, since the last days and nights before the gig, i had done nothing but trying to finish that damn present we had for him, a barbie-doll-sized toy theatre of his arena tour stage set, which we had started planning already back in april. i never would've thought it'd be THAT much work, and already was thinking that nothing and no one would be worth all of that! but of course that was just the stress - simply seeing our finished project made me really proud and happy, apart from the last few stressing days it was lots of fun to make it, and some of us even said we'd love to keep it to ourselves instead of giving it to mika. and mika, well, he was the best, as always. he spent ages looking at every detail, even asked most who were there which part they had done, and he said he'd show it to es devlin. and that it was no problem for him fixing the broken parts (the keyboard had fallen off its platform during the transport), since they had to do that with their stage props all the time. i doubt that he'll in fact do it, but him saying it was very sweet. it was also very sweet when he went a bit sentimental after telling us that the set had been destroyed because they wouldn't use it anymore, and said "you make me miss the show now!" well, you can see all of that in the video we made of the m+g, if you're interested. ;-) then we took 2 group pictures, which statue already posted, and when mika suggested how we'd arrange ourselves there (that he'd stand next to statue and i should come over to his other side), it turned out that he indeed knows my name. i had told it to him a few times during the spring tour, for autographs, but i had no idea that he in fact remembered it - aww, that made me sooo happy! he then thanked us for coming to the concerts, and said he'd be back in maybe 1,5 years, to which we looked disappointed and said "it's sooo long!", and he said "it's sooo short! so much work!" - LOL! very funny to see this difference in his and his fans' perception. *g* i think statue has posted the rest of the conversation already. ;-) the drive back to munich went only well because statue kept me awake by chatting all the time... if she hadn't been there, i'd have had to sleep a few hours in the car before driving back, since i was so incredibly tired. xD but we arrived safely back in munich around 5am iirc... and since then i'm trying to catch up with all the sleep i missed. and i can't believe that this should've been the last time i've seen all of you guys for the next 1,5 years! *tears* i deliberately forbid myself that thought when we said goodbye... and i'm sure we'll find a way to meet - like an mfc xmas party or something like that. :-D (though a summer party would be warmer, lol! *rofl*). big hug to all of you!! *huglove* pix + vids will follow in my next post. ;-)
mellody
my pix+vids didn't turn out as well as usual this time, it's easier to keep a steady hand in front row than it is in the 2nd... though i definitely can't complain bout my place, i had a very good view since i stood behind tina, and during mika's gig itself there hardly was any pushing where i was standing. anyway, here they are: talk before SITM and trumpet solo: touches you (VERY shaky, sorry bout that): biotg: LT shooting scene, with dr jimmy aow: martin, cherisse & jimmy looking at our present: mika receiving our present: some of the vids are still processing, no idea why that's taking ages today, but you might have to wait a few more hours til they're visible. i also have one of yasmine looking at our present, won't post it publicly, but if anyone's interested, let me know. and my photos are here (just 12 this time ): http://s778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/mikafanclub_de/2010%2008%2028%20Arbon/ edit: if anyone's interested in seeing pictures of the present and the "making of", they're in this album: http://s778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/mikafanclub_de/2010%2008%2028%20Arbon/Mika%20birthday%20present%202010/ (more will be added when my pc is working again) Edited September 2, 2010 by mellody

Silke
Still I had a great time, with Emilie and Allegra (and others) next to me doing improvised flash mobs while waiting for Mika, lol. One of the other bands had a very very handsome bass player. He made me forget my sore back and feet . It´s been so funny to see you dance right behind me. And we did a good job during "Kick Ass", didn´t we? Btw, do you remember which band the bass player was in? I usually have a crush for bass players, LOL. Hey!!I didn't realise somebody was throwing stuff at Mika during the gig, and didn't remember it until I read it here. That's a disgusting thing to do... But Mika never stopped singing I didn´t realise that either. But i saw at some point (don´t remember exactly the time anymore) that something small was thrown towards Imma. Luckily she wasn´t hit by it. I like the bubbles in the last one, there were lots of bubbles! They must have looked very nice from the back of the audience. I´ve been so busy with them during HE, I hardly saw anything of the song. *runs off to youtube*

Christine
here is a pic of the banner after the signing of most of us Oh that's a lovely sentiment. Nice! Sorry I haven't had a chance to read any of the thread but I saw the video of the gift. Loved Mika's reactions, especially when he said he couldn't wait to show it to Es Devlin and that you were making him miss his set. Great job guys! mellody
here is a pic of the banner after the signing of most of us thanx for posting the pic of the banner! i hope mika got it, shame you couldn't hold it up during the show - which i still find weird really, i mean, they let kids in front of the barrier, and even let us put our plastic bags there, once mika was on - but banners they forbid?! Btw, do you remember which band the bass player was in? I usually have a crush for bass players, LOL. i thought the one of dada ante portas was rather cute, maybe monie meant him? (3rd from the right, though i guess it's not the most favourable pic of him ) And no, I am not jealous of your jumping-pictures Not. at. all. they're blurry, i'm sure you'd have better ones if you had caught the right moment. guess next time i'll warn you "there's a jump coming now!", instead of trying to take a pic. It's absolutely amazing, so much work! Thank you for showing it! Sorry I haven't had a chance to read any of the thread but I saw the video of the gift. I guess I kind of stared at him -finally something nice to see after hours of waiting - when he started staring back at me. I was like: huh, so I looked the other way and then looked back and he too looked back. This happend several times and I must say I kind of forgot about Mika because of it . It made me forget about my sore back and feet too, which was very welcome . Thanks for the pictures Mellody.

mellody
thank you everyone for the comments about the present, i'll let the others know, who aren't on here. also wanted to open an extra thread for it, telling the whole story and everything, but with all the discussions that followed arbon, i thought/think it's better to wait a few weeks with that. btw, love it that he remembered marianne's mika-ken-doll! we hadn't done much with the dolls themselves, most were bought on ebay for 1-2 euros, and we just did their make-up/hair, and of course the costumes. so marianne, if you ever feel like making him dolls for the band too, he can substitute our ebay barbies with really goodlooking ones. although i really must say kudos to statue, who did the white face-make-up for all the dolls with my paint marker at 3am in the morning, and it looked fab! I thought he was taking pics because he didn't move the camera. But now that Mellody mentioned it, it's right, he didn't use flash. It's so embarrassing to see myself screaming "that was me!" when Jimmy said he liked the make-up On the other hand it was good that he noticed it as everything Mika touched and I was involved with were the last-seconds-parts I did and ended up looking like rubbish (the BG-leg is just one example ). But at least that way I earned this naughty-funny look from Mika I wouldn't know how to provoke otherwise Edited September 2, 2010 by Statue_of_Liberty
