I tried to listen to it several times but the only tune I can recall it is the Viva la Vida bit, which he MUST get rid of when he records this even if it is just a bonus track on the French edition. we cannot keep on justifying him or pretending the 3rd album will be different...I'm afraid now, very much!!! As much as I love him, I would like any song to be special...to have more and more success. As much as I love him, I would like any song to be special...to have more and more success. I cannot see it happening, if he follows this trend, sorry I am happy to sit and wait for the album, and have some new tunes for the car. I don't like it at all, it's the worst of the new 3 songs for me. I repeat myself, but i feel Mika's genius collapsing fast. Summed up my own feelings quite well I didn't want to start it myself cause I am told that I am not a good fan but yes, basically that is what I thought. I found the song boring, and just meh. I think if half of his long term fans don't like these, it is a sign for him and not for us Anyway, people are posting their opinions because they care and I am sure they will be here to listen to the third album, too, and decide if they want to take part in the game for the coming years or not. I do not like EMD though It is too dancey for me - and it has not grown on me since I first heard it!! I can only hope that the tweaking that will take place will have the desired effect - but my car stereo has an efficient skip button!! Force yourself. It's not that bad. At the beginning "82, rue de martyrs" is a little bit like a chanson. But then the songs turns and gets "wide" and positive - and you can feel the freedom. It's quite a mature tune, and the song structure is a departure for him, so at least you could say he is trying something a little bit different. There is no obvious chorus but for me that's not a bad thing. Choruses are overrated . It does sound a bit derivative of other songs - bits of vaguely familiar melody here and there - but we should be used to that by now with Mika. We know he is a magpie when it comes to his melodies.
