MIKA FOR ITALIAN FANS (with lots of MFCers in it)

Electric!

He was REALLY playful tonight.

For example, he said "I have a new band, they start tomorrow"

He was joking around all the way through, which made for a fun show.

Mosquitoes were out in force, which was uncomfortable for a while, once the show started, I didn't notice them so much.

He only did Origin of Love as an encore tonight, which seemed odd, only having one song. No Karen, but the final performance, he said, of Elle Me Dit.

He asked for help with his new XL column, deadline in 2 days, so he's still writing it forseeable future.

He got the sides mixed up for Blame It On The Girls, which eas a bit cnfusing gpr us st the start.

But apart from that, he was spot on with everything.

At M&G it transpired he lost the questionaire, and saod he was afraod to open it. I told him it wasn' t anything to worry about, now I have to send him another one. I will try to remember as many questions from the first one as I can.

I suggested he do a column about driving in London, but he didn't seem keen on thst, as I don't think he is a very confident driver as yet. Some story about driving a car over a cliff in Wales. It seems he has another "big ass" car, he was saying. I think this was car he was talking about, he was a bit sketchy on details.

He asked who was going to London on Thursday, and said we have to be on fire. So I think it's going to be a very energetic show again.

Then he said he woulld see some people tomorrow, which means he'll be at the playback party I assume.

And that was it. He then left.

LOL! You never know when it might be true :naughty:

Oh wow, I guess with all the new songs some had to be eliminated though.

I'm so glad he rocked Vigevano, he never stops showing his love for Italy. :blush-anim-cl:

It would be great if he's going to attend the playback. I'm on my way to Milan, so excited :teehee:

Thanks for the lovely report! :thumb_yello:

OMG, so much feeling right now, but I'm tring to do a short review amyway.

I still can't believe it! The queue was a bit of a mess because the system of the numbers, in the end, didn't work, but we had fun anyway.

The support-band was nice, so time has passed quickly and finnaly Mika came on stage. He was amazing, he joked, he talked alot (even in italian) about everything (songs, mosquitos, his band). He did all the new songs, even Elle Me Dit, and his voice was great. Unfortunately I didn't took many pics and videos because my camera discharged almost immediatly, but I'm not so sad, because I could have fun without something in my hands.

After the concert we went to see the exit where he came from, and we waited for him. When he came I was happy to see the queue was quiete and well-ordered, so I had my chance to talk to him, to give him his present (which he really liked it :wub2:) and get my autograph on my t-shirt :wub2:

So, the gig could not have ended better. I was thrilled, and very happy of the entire experience. Pics to follow.

What a night! He did very well, his voice was clear even on EMD. I'm not going to write a lot, but what surprised me, was that he said that Stuck in the Middle is about his grandma. Haven't heard that before:blink: I guess he made that up...

On the m&g he asked someone if they've seen the Lozza glasses that he made. Or maybe I misunderstood something, correct me if I'm wrong. That was my first m&g (not counting Compiegne) so I'm still very excited:wub2:

Oh, the queue was a mess, but i was in the strict centre of the 2nd row, so I'm glad anyway

WONDERFUL, exceptionally wonderful! My first gig, of which I enjoyed every single moment! :mf_lustslow:

I arrived in the morning (ald I can also see myself in the photos here xD) and met some mfcers! I spent the whole day in a bar near the venue, but the best moment came when Mika arrived and quite immediately jumped on the piano! He's been sooooo nice, he spoke Italian (he can speak Italian quite well I must say :thumb_yello: ), but he was incredibly powerful! I guess he didn't like mosquitoes, because he was saying "zanzare" (mosquitoes in Italian) shaking his hands as killing them! He jumped, he laughed a lot, he put his microphone in front of us a lot of times, and people were very reactive! During Love Today he joked with the band, and during Happy Ending we had the glowsticks-hearts, and then we threw them to the stage!

The big balloons, the golden confetti, everything has been perfect! He did everything he could do! THANK YOU, MIKA!! :mikalove:

Just came back to Athens, here's my report:

On Monday we flew from Athens to Milan, went sightseeing (Duomo, my oh my *_* ) and on Tuesday morning we would take the train to Vigevano. For people who don't speak any Italian, it was hell. Almost no one could speak English and the people weren't really helpful either, so we didn't really know where to go. We missed a train and I panicked because I wanted to be there early.

We arrived at the queue around 3:30 - 4pm and there were already many people there, but we managed to be on the 5th row in the end.

Mika was just amazing and it went by so fast. Half of the time I was just thinking that this is a dream and it can't be true. I enjoyed all songs (I loved Celebrate live even if it's my least favourite song), I cried in Happy Ending and I just....loved everything. He seemed so happy and playful. I got to meet some of you too and I was really happy about that! :wub2:

When we went outside to wait for him my sister found me (she was sitting in a cafe with my mum at the square) and she told me she saw Mika and she got an autograph from Felix (the drummer). She took a lovely picture as well, which I will post later.

And just when I thought this night couldn't get any better, Mika came to meet us. I had never seen him from so close before and I kinda panicked. I didn't talk with him at all (my friend gave him some pictures to sign), I was so scared and happy at the same time.

The only drawback is that the crowd was too loud and Mika's microphone was a bit too low so we couldn't really hear him properly, but that's okay.

Time to make plans for the next concert now :teehee: I'll post pictures and a video of Underwater later. <3

Oh my, I'm in the video! Two times! I can't belive I did this, usually I'm too shy to let someone take a pic of me :aah:

And btw, I remembered that Mika improvised some lyrics before one of the songs, but unfortunately I can't remember which one it was  i hope someone filmed it, because it was really funny

I'm a bit confused about the mentions of the queue being a mess, and how 'the numbers didn't work', but at the same time I have been reading that people spent the day (or most part of it) at a bar/cafe nearby?

If that is the case, then I don't see how one could try and enforce their numbers because really, they are not queuing :wink2: Queuing means sitting or standing in the same spot or area, at the door or wherever you are in file in order, and only leaving very seldomly for very basic things like going to the toilet or getting some food, immediately returning to your place in the queue. Anything else is just taking the piss, and taking advantage of the situation, really.

I don't want to get anyone upset, but come on, if you're sitting at a cafe 'near' the venue most part of the day then you're not queuing up and you cannot try and exercise any moral right to a particular 'number' in the queue.

*disclaimer* If this was not the case and nobody did actually do this, my sincere apologies for this post :thumb_yello: *disclaimer*
