MIKA @ Vega, Copenhagen, DENMARK - 29 October 2012 - REPORTS/PICS/VIDS

Ok, so since I was in the choir I can't tell you anything about being in the audience, but! It was a completely utterly amazing night! MIKA was in a great mood, and everybody was happy and jolly!

We started off by 3.30pm by rehearsing the songs we were going to sing with the band, had fun just jamming.

The we got a "short" break as they said for almost 2 hours, waiting for MIKA to arrive. Then when he finally arrived they had too eat, so we just waited another 30 minutes or so.

Around 6.30pm we finally had soundchecks where we just quickly went through a couple of songs, and off stage again. Then we were off till 8pm, where we got our robes and got ready for the show!

The gig started at 8.40pm, a bit delayed, but what can expect when the artist is MIKA? :b haha..

There were like 5 songs until our first appearance, so we got to watch some of the songs from the audience.

When we finally went on stage, people were going nuts! We started out with popular, and the Big Girl. A wonderful start an we all gave it our best!

Then we went on again and sang underwater, and then out, AGAIN!

Third and last appearance were at the end singing Origin Of Love, Celebrate, Grace Kelly, Happy Ending, Lollipop and We Are Golden, it was amazing! No nerves at all, just pure joy and happiness bursting from all of us!

When the show was over we went back to our dressingroom, took off the robes and gave them back to Mrs. Penniman, who thought we had been amazing.

MIKA then came out and thanked us, and told us that we had been great, we got a group photo taken by Yasmine, (I stood next to him!) talked a little back and forth.

All in all a completely indescribable evening with lots of joy and laughter!

And now, I'm in bed, very exhausted and tired, but with a giant smile on my face, from this amazing experience!

It was a really great gig :boing: My pictures are going straight to the dodgy pictures thread unfortunately, don't know what went wrong with my camera :aah: I never usually write these reports, so I'm just gonna be a bit random here... Best surprise for me was Stardust, I found the live version absoltely amazing :wub2: I loved the polka dot choir :yay: they were almost as fun to watch as Mika :naughty: Hated what they did to Stuck In The Middle, it's my favourite song and they need to play it in a version I can somewhat recognize :sneaky2: Rain is my live favourite now I guess, SO much energy :boing: My screaming along must've completely ruined everyone's videos, but hey :teehee: I was a bit disappointed that he didn't play Step With Me :blink: And I thought the song choices were a bit random in general :blink:

Ok I'm writing on my crappy iphone now but I just wanted to write a quick review about this extremely interesting evening.

First of all, wonderful people in the choir and cue outside, never spent a day with so many sweet and wonderful people before, thank you so much to All of you! And it was so lovely to see Nina again!

Anyway, sloppy and messy review here, sorry;

We were let inside at 3 pm and got to our quite small dressingroom at Vega, it was Right next to Mika and the band's room.

After a while of chit chatting, Tim rehearsed some songs with us and the other band members were there too, all very friendly people.

It was really laid back; That was until Mika showed up and things got awkward and tense XD I guess most of us were kind of nervous and shy because when Mika asked us; "How did your rehearsal go?" in a somewhat rude tone, everyone went silent and the tension was ridicilously high. Mika could feel that I'm sure 'cause later on he surprised us at our room and asked us if we were afraid and that we shouldn't be afraid of him, then he growled at us like a tiger LOL!!! I don't think we were afraid, just nervous I guess. Things were laid back at soundcheck though, we had a lot of fun.

Anyway: The soundcheck: Mika asked me to lead the group (disaster!!!) and basically I confused the hell out of all the choirmembers; I am so sorry you guys I tried my best to be creative with those moves XD

Also, I could hardly hear myself singing both at the soundcheck and at the show :/ However, the others said they heard themselves so I don't know, maybe I just have bad hearing...

After soundcheck we got a break until showtime and I managed to suggest a prop idea to Mika that would be perfect for Love You When I'm Drunk

I had gotten him a giant wine bottle made out of paper that he suggested I throw to him to catch during the song. So funny!! Loved it so much, it was so random and silly, perfect for that song!

Ok, Moving on to showtime, and again please excuse my sloppy review.

We went on and off stage in between songs, not even watching the show, however, they let us watch the first four songs of the concert in the audience before we had to go on stage which luckily meant I could take some photos, but they turned out pretty meh.

During the show, it was insane! So much energy from the crowd and the choir. It was amazing and bizarre being on stage, getting a completely different perspective of his shows. And I was totally partying with Nina between the front row and stage, it was so much fun!

And now for my shameful confession; I fell not once but TWICE on stage (blame it on the long robe) AND I was late on stage for two songs! I don't ever want to be on stage ever again XD It's tough dancing like a lunatic in a too long robe and manage to make it out of it alive lol!

Again I apologize to my fellow choirmembers!

Time just flew by and before we knew it the show was over.

Afterwards, Mika took a group photo with us and thanked us (I'll share the photos tomorrow) and I gave Mika some very strange gifts lol one which he refused to accept, some really cool hypnotizing sunglasses, which he thought made him look crazy; I replied "But lookin' crazy is awesome!" anyway I don't care; I'll just keep them for myself, his loss lol

I also made him a custom made tee with some characters that I draw which he loved actually. And some other crazy stuff etc etc

Basically I was santa claus, got him like 4 different gifts.

And then he thanked us all and people started leaving. As I said I will upload my photos tomorrow, I can attach them to this (messy) review.

In closing, it was an awesome day but a part of me felt like I had no business being there, I feel at home in the audience with my camera but it was an amazing experience. I thanked Mika again as he left and he said (lied lol) that I was great (riiiight lol) because I felt discomforted that he might've thought I felt unappreciative of the wonderful opportunity i had been given.

Yeah I think I missed meeting you! Or did we meet? Anyway, the energy from the audience was so amazing everytime we got onstage, we could feel the love so we had fun!

Omg that was so embarrassing! XD The choirgirls had to help me up because I slipped on my robe first then fell backwards onto the other choirboy and girls! Why me???

if you dont like that mika and his folks get critic then dont read this. Lol But I am going to be honest not fake any happiness.

And i am sitting together with my friend so if i say "we think.. " he think the same as me, just so ya know:thumb_yello:

Anyway me and 3 other girls came there like 1,5 hour before we had to be there (we was in the choir)(and there was already a few people there) .. and on that 1,5 hour i managed to get pretty drunk, i dunno what happened:mf_rosetinted: so i apologize if i said anything stupid to someone:doh: But I had so much fun waiting with the balloons and glitter. And playing simon says. “simon says go find mika” *runs away* *realize mika didn’t arrive yet*

Anyway it got 3 pm and 7 of went backstage and started to sing with Tim. (I wasn’t drunk there!!! We had to act processional so I did.. some could have learnt from me) and then we needed one more singer, so they just went out and found a random girl.

When we had tried out all the songs, we was told “don’t go too far away mika will be here in 30 mins” and then we waited for more than 1 hour. But he came. And we waited some more.. and a little more.. but then we went on the stage. And we tried out 2 songs. And then blame it on the girls, which we was not even a part of, and we got our lines we should stand in, which was so silly. Me and an other was not so tall and they placed us behind 2 people there was like pretty much taller than us. Never seen something stupid like that. When the show started I couldn’t see anyting else than a back, and nina and kata. I had 6 other friends I knew was standing front row. Because I couldn’t see them, because the 2 people infront of was so much taller. So we was just stading there singing to some hair. Cant describe how pissed I was about that. and they just told us “you need to figure out some moves by yourself or something”. so we went to our waiting room and some girls tried to make out some moves. I didn’t take part, because I’ve been a dancer for many years and knew it would be a disaster and it was, when we finally got on the stage there was no one there did those moves, and if there was where it just like 2 people.

Oh yeah and we think it’s such a same there was so many girls in the choir. There was only 1 boy, my friend felt a little lonely. And it was a bit too many girls for my taste. We needed some man folks in that choir.

After we got our lines in the choir like front row and back row. It was like people acted like we was into 2 groups. A little same. We was standing waiting for mika to get on the stage, and I was alone together with first row. And they was like “lets us take a pic of us.. first row.. and only us” so I felt pretty shunned there. And I was asking “I could also just take the pic for you” .. no one answered. Hope they just not hurt it. But well we was pretty separated.

We saw like 3 of the songs and then went down and made us ready. But those 3 songs was pretty amazing, he was in a good mood!

And I was pretty fed up with waiting, being tired, people, so I’ve become so moody. But I was like before going on the stage *c’mon you will just go in there and have a party* So we went on the stage and sang some songs, and on and off. And there was just no one there would have a party with me, it was so boring that most of the choir was just singing. Then it’s a bit hard to have a party when the rest are just so baring to look at. And I tried to flirt with Kata and Nina, not sure they was into it lol. But I kina couldn’t see anymore people!!!!! And I felt like we looked like complete idiots because we wasn’t doing the same moves any of us.

anyway mika asked us on the stage how to say how to say “nice to meet you everybody” in Danish. And I was like “det er godt at møde jer”

Mika: iauhihkfnkd

Me: no det er godt at møde jer

Mika *looks strange at me* kjafuosidnsn

Have never heard something that funny :aah:

and he was just asking a million times lol. And never got it right!

I tried to have a party with myself on the stage. But I couldn’t see anything and I felt like the own there was trying to have a party -.-‘ but it was fun.. kinda.. it could have been better and more organized I think it was so poorly organized. Really. We was lost on that stage. I don’t think if they asked me to be in the choir one more time that I would say yes, I would rather see the show from the front row. Or otherwise just be in a other choir like NY, or Amsterdam, they seemed to have so much more fun and have understood the “choir spirit” a bit better than us.

But when the show was over we waited for mika ofc. And he came, and we got a group pic. But he seemed to be in such a hurry.. everyone did, we didn’t even have a pic taken with the band.

and mika was only with us for like 5-8 mins, and he mostly just talked with Lara because we bought like a million gifts (pretty gifts :wink2: ) but he mostly talked with her, he almost forgot to sign some of our cd’s and books, because he couldn’t get away fast enough, he was so busy. That was a little same. But he smiled to me.. that was the best part of the evening. And then the half of the choir just left. And we others was like “shouldn’t we clean up a little? :blink” there was so messy.

Overall I’m a bit disappointed, I didn’t have that much fun as I thought I would and we needed some more boys in the choir and some more choir spirit. And someone there would have a party with me. And if you read this Chirstine, the BG/LG was a better idea. I can see it might be fun for some people. But I just felt so left out, and was so tired of waiting :aah:

And Mika so flirted with nina. No matter what she says.

i dont feel hight on mika at all. disappointed.

Mika never stays for long and when he does its an exception, not depending on wjo's present or the gifts peeps give him, it's just the way it is, sometime he has a plane to catch or hes so tired he just wants to find his own bed the sooner the better...>Peopletake him for granted on m&g and weshould all ne thankful he even stops to talk to us, take otherbands for example they won't stop and if they can they piss on the crowd while acting...

I'm not going to sit here and say "oh it was so amazing and iiih i'm like dying of happiness" when i'm not. cuz i'm really not that happy:aah:
