La Repubblica already has a review with some photos that I posted the links to over there. Should we close this thread now? Or wait a bit?

thanks Deb, maybe we could close this thread in order to avoid confusion?

there'll probably be less chat in the other thread if we leave this one open a bit. :wink2: so then we can leave this one for talk about the stream, and the other one for "real" reports of those who were there.

Ok.I post this here, too.

So I liked the concert!Especially Underwater was amazing and I also liked his words after Love Today: the honest admission he was out of breath because he had done too much television and not concerts with f..k at the end :naughty: and the sincere exclamation of how much he missed doing concerts/gigs. :original:

There was only one thing that I don't really liked (but obviously he can do what he wants of his songs. It's just that I prefer some of the songs, one in particular, for its meaning, in the original version).Apart from that all very positive.

and the video recording thanks DerMoment!

Links to Audio + video recoding are posted in the first post of the reports thread as well, so that you can easily find them anytime.

Screenrecord from the gig :original:

(It's better if you download the files and watch in 360p, the Google Drive Player is too big, so it gets blurry.)

I am glad he has finally realised all this tv stuff is not good for his own music, and now get back to performing his own songs again.

I could recorded from stardust to the end of the show!!! hope someone could recorded the full show.
thank you for trying Renaud, it's much appreciated!

btw, the stage was really, really far away from the crowd - i think the farthest away i've seen so far at a mika gig, except that one russian (i think) festival a while ago.
it reminded me of the Russian festival as well, really far away!

He is not stupid at all so it's hard to believe his logic ever told him that doing television makes his own music directly better or doesn't affect it all. He surely had other reasons for doing it, financial or getting more publicity for the next album or doing something else for a change or whatever.

It did show that he hasn't been on stage for a while. I loved the concert last night, was sooooo good to see him on stage again :wub2: some songs made me in tears even in the middle of that huge screaming crowd and I was happy he so genuinely seemed to have missed doing shows. It wasn't like there was no break at all though, during some songs he was totally his usual self (totally present and there) but I thought several times that he needs practice and just doing it more - both singing and performing. Looks it's not happening this year but thinking of Montreal gives hope for the future (thank god he announced those concerts!).

I totally agree! :thumb_yello: That he was "out of breath" during "Love today", which is a demanding song, is not strange at all. The reason is obvious - he has done so little singing and performing lately, compared to earlier, that his fysical condition is surely not good, for the time being :naughty: Earlier he got this "for free" - because of all the running, dancing and singing on stage!! Now he needs to practice, to gain back his "sportsman condition" :wink2: Didn't we see a pic from a studio lately, with him hanging upside/down - he's of course very much aware of this himself. So I don't see it as some kind of "admitting or regretting " anything!! :teehee: I'm happy that you, and other MFCers, had a nice eve with MIKA - and I'll read and listen to everything later :fisch: Thank you all - for sharing your experiences ...:huglove:

No one called him stupid... even the smartest people in the world make questionable decisions at time, even world leaders :naughty:

But it would be ok for him to move less on the stage and concentrate more on the singing. It reminds me of BG on PDP video, he was totally out of breath, it was a huge stage & i'm sure he was nervous. Later in the concert, he was fine.

:naughty: Well, it's his style - much like Mick Jagger, lots of energy, and I think it's great that MIKA is "all over the stage" - so everyone get him close - from time to time! :wub2:

I think he relaxes when he's behind the piano - singing and playing at the same time, even he also then often raises and stand up, like he's ready to "take off" anytime :aah:

I don't like so much artists just standing still, like they need the mic stick to lean on, to do their job - I prefer "action" on stage, when it's natural, and fits the songs...:fisch:

No, of course no one called him anything, lol. There was just an assumption he realized something he didn't earlier know and that's difficult to believe for me. He knows the risks and consequences.

I watched the streming yesterday and he was amazing as always even if a bit out of breath as someone said before.

Am I the only one who find is voice so strange and different when he speaks in italian?

I like a lot when he speaks italian during XF or during interviews but during the gig I find it weird ..I prefer english or freanch..maybe is just because I'm not used to him and his italian.

In the end I love his voice anyway anytime :naughty::thumb_yello:

well, maybe it confirmed it :naughty:

the crowd was huge! i'm not sure i would have, as a spectator, enjoyed such a huge crowd.

i'm not claustrophobic, but i think my proximity comfort bubble would have been seriously affected.

the space between the stage and the front row looked huge!

I watched the concert in streaming and I really enjoyed it very very much :mikalove:

I particularly appreciated the Underwater moment, when he mentioned people who watched him on internet and he asked the public to sing for us :blush-anim-cl:

He was able to captivate also people who aren't here, and he moved me even in front of a pc!
