I love the chair pictures. I had a friend in college who was probably as tall and skinny as Mika and he also had the inability to sit upright in a chair like a normal person, and had the same ability to fold his lanky body into the most ridiculous positions. I find it very endearing, then and now. If only I could get French TV. Or if I was just French. Well, I am about 1/8 th.

Mika, did the coaches welcome you well?

Wonderfully. It's funny because I feel completely at ease. Maybe it's because we're all different. Garou represents international solidity of French music, Jenifer is a strong personality and Florent is lyrical.

How did TF1 convince you to be part of The Voice?

When the directors of the channel asked me, I asked them why they needed me, when the show was doing very well. They answered 'because you write and make your albums'. Then, I thought they were sincere. So I said OK, as long as I can really be myself. I'm the kind of person to say bull****, swear words, and I know I'm sometimes too harsh. Despite this, they accepted.

Mika, you're like the new showman, is that to compete with Garou?

No, I'm not here for that. I'm like that in my life. When I act crazy, it's just because I'm at ease.

Some words on the candidates' level?

I already fell for 3 or 4 candidates. There is one candidate who particularly made me want to write songs for her. That's revealing.
