I don't know Justin Bieber? I don't expect it to be a poem, I just want to relate to it and I want it to be smart, relate to it not in a personal way, but I want to be able to have a connection which I am not able to find. If he is trying to be smart in here and convey an actual message, then all the mainstream ones also do so when they're like "I wanna boom bang bang wit yo body yo". I'm not saying that he can't do love songs, it's the absolute contrary: Origin of Love is a fairly good album in my opinion and it did not convey love with poor lyrics. It was very intelligent and I could feel that it was personal. But I can't feel any of that in here... I agree. Not all songs need to be intellectual masterpieces, but this is very far removed from it. I'm sure I'll hear it more often though. I bet my boyfriend will love it, and since he doesn't speak French he won't mind the lyrics. Let's hope not, his videos always ruin the songs for me. Apart from Make you happy. The celebrate video was better than the song, or so I thought... could the woman be Kylie Minogue? LaraMay Posted June 11, 2014 Share Posted June 11, 2014 I'm happy pretty much all of his fans love this song but for some reason (perhaps the annoying amount of "boom boom booms" and the latin sound in the song) I don't like it personally at all. I hope his next album won't sound like this but he is very versatile with genres and a great song writer (did he even write the music for this?) so I'll keep my hopes up anyway for future music. I scared my mom and she yelled at me haha I don't know if the lyrics are silly or not... I like the naughtiness of it!!! the rhythm got me dancing and smiling the whole day! Well I am curious about the video so I guess I'll hear it one more time. Same here, I wish the video's going to make it better I agree. Not all songs need to be intellectual masterpieces, but this is very far removed from it.I'm sure I'll hear it more often though. I bet my boyfriend will love it, and since he doesn't speak French he won't mind the lyrics. I think I'll hear it often also. It's going to be played plenty of times in Montreal so I will try to promote it still... But if it wasn't for Mika... hmm... I'll get used to it later, but now it's just... no.
