  1. Which one did he sing in addition to the setlist of the last gigs? Popular Song? Or Origin of Love? Or another one?
  2. First post ist updated again. We meanwhile have nearly 300€ for the flowers & cake, so it will be a nice big bouquet, maybe with a vase so the crew can take it on the tourbus if they want to keep it - and I also told Saskia & Miri that they can plan in more for the cake if they want to. They'll be going to a baking trade fair this weekend, collecting ideas and maybe ingredients. As for the meetup, apparently there are no restaurants / bars directly around the venue, so we'll probably be going in the direction of Checkpoint Charlie, there's a lot in that area and it's not too far away. Also it seems to be harder than I thought to find a place that is kind of a mix between restaurant and bar - so maybe we'll make 2 reservations in places close to each other, one for dinner around 6-7pm and one for drinks later. Or maybe just for drinks, as some of you said that they will probably only arrive later. Just wondering, of those who said they want to join the meetup, who would definitely want to join for dinner already at ca. 6/7pm (and any preferences as to what kind of food)?
  3. I hope it's not so loud that we can't chat anymore. Or at least really good, so we can dance!
  4. Sounds fun, but it's not allowed to bring food or drinks inside the Tempodrom, and besides, Mika didn't play Sweetie Banana at every gig - he might replace it for the non-French gigs, to have less French songs on the setlist.
  5. There is a difference between the DJ on stage, which is like a support act, and the music played until the gig starts - a playlist that often represents Mika's music preferences. This time it's a bit too electronic for my liking, but there are also some songs I love on there - and the playlist might change for different countries too. Anyway, just get a numbered seat next time, then you can arrive the moment Mika enters the stage (for the French gigs 20:30, I assume it's the same in the UK) without having to wait outside or having to endure hours of other music.
  6. So, my idea for Berlin... I still have 40 white LED balloons that I bought for the Revelation Tour but never used. I had planned them for Happy Ending, because of the music video. Now thinking of Happy Ending on this tour, it really breaks my heart to see the destroyed planet on the screen. So I was thinking, how can we "heal the world" with a fanaction? And I found these earth balloons: https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B0CBHR4N2F/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A1F6S5GS8ZBMPB&psc=1 - I really like the idea to have a bunch of these (I think I'll only buy 1 pack of 40, as they're expensive) together with the white lights - and maybe some heart balloons, to make the message clear that "a little bit of love" can heal the world. I still have some heart balloons too, and they're cheaper, so we could have more (besides, on Mika's last German tour in Cologne 2012 we had a heart balloons fanaction, so that's another reference), but I'm wondering, would it be too confusing to have 3 different types of balloons? The other thing, that also @Lexa suggested, would be A4 sheets with welcome back messages for the beginning if the show, but I wouldn't make that very big, just maybe 50 sheets.
  7. I had a similar idea, but not with individual letters, just A4 sheets with messages like "welcome back to Germany" or "we've missed you ❤️", and not too many - I think it makes more sense like that, easier to organize, and I suppose for the French/Italian fans who are coming, this doesn't have much meaning. Anyway, I've opened an extra thread for fanactions, we can discuss it there:
  8. I wanted to start a thread, to collect all the (past and future) fanactions for this tour. First of all, we have Anna's ongoing flowers "fanaction", all info about it here: https://www.mikafanclub.com/topic/36704-flowers-for-the-2024-tour/ There was a fanaction in Annecy, coloured phone lights for Moi, Andy et Paris. I know something is planned for Paris, but I don't know the details... I think Louison (mikafamily on IG) is organizing it, or at least her IG stories is how I know about it. On the London thread, someone had the idea that we could hold up (small) flags of our countries - we can also continue discussing this here. If you hear about anything else, or want to organize something, feel free to post about it here. I have ideas for the Berlin gig, will write that in an extra post. Finally, please remember the general fanaction guidelines: https://www.mikafanclub.com/topic/34366-fan-actions-guidelines/#comments
  9. We obviously change into our A Clockwork Orange costumes within a second and start a flashmob, singing Blame it on the Girls. First post updated.
  10. That pic with his musicians! I knew he was very flexible, but that looks crazy. People used to say he's a rubber ball because he's jumping so much on stage - now he has turned into a rubber band!
  11. I've updated the first post. Fyi, it's looking good that we can add a flower bouquet to the cake...
  12. I've listed my spare Berlin ticket on ticketswap, if anyone is interested: https://www.ticketswap.com/listing/mika/12036508/7598d77e5d?utm_campaign=publishedListingShare&utm_source=ticketswap&utm_medium=manualshare
  13. I've opened a new thread for the meetup and for a gift for Mika that is initiated by @MFC_Hasi - anyone can take part in the gift, no matter if you're going to the gig or not, for details see here:
  14. Only 2 weeks to go until the Berlin gig! We want to plan our meetup on April 1st - no big party or anything, just meeting up in a bar that offers food and drinks, ideally in the venue area. From the feedback in the other thread I've made a list of people who want to join, just so we know for how many we need a reservation. Please let us know here within the next few days if you want to be added. MFCers meetup on April 1st: @CharlotteL @EzPz_german_squeezy @giraffeandy +1 @Ingrid @Lexa @Liv1680 @MadameNatureRG @Meeks @mellody @MFC_Hasi @Mubbin Sarina +1 (maybe) @Prisca (maybe) @Vero Bott gift for Mika: Also, and this is for everyone, no matter if you're going to the gig or not, @MFC_Hasi has offered to bake one of her amazing cakes for Mika, as a gift from his German fans and from any MFCers who are interested in joining. We're gonna have it delivered to his dressing room, although of course we're aware that he probably won't eat it, as he has to keep to a diet to be able to do his high energy shows. But Miri's cakes are a work of art (you can see some of them on her Instagram profile https://www.instagram.com/miris.backzauber/) - so Mika can enjoy the artwork, and then maybe his crew wants to eat the cake. Depending on how many want to contribute, and how much, we can also add flowers. The cake will be around 50€ and I think the best option is to leave it up to everyone how much they want to contribute and then see if there's enough for a flower bouquet in addition to the cake. I have to talk with Miri and Saskia again, but I think we should be able to add a card with all the names of fans who contributed. So if you want to take part in this, you can paypal me your contribution to mellody24@gmx.de and let me know in the message field there, or here in the thread, what name you'd like to be added to the card (nickname, first name or full name, it's up to you). If you don't have paypal but want to take part, send me a DM, then we can try to find another solution. Any questions? Feel free to ask! 15. For just being in the front area (and not necessarily frontrow) I *think* it should be enough to be there maybe 2-3 hours before the doors open. But I'm really unsure about this gig, as he hasn't been in Germany for so long and I don't know where people are coming from for this gig. I can tell you that at the first Berlin gig I saw of Mika, in autumn 2007, there was no queue at all an hour before the doors opened - I already thought I was in the wrong place! While on the same tour in Munich and Frankfurt people have started queueing at 3 or 4pm. And in London it was already early morning queueing. So I would think that Germany is more relaxed with queueing than other places. Also in 2010 and 2012 it was just a few superfans queueing all day, it never was as bad here as in France or Italy - Germans are too impatient to queue for long. Now we have 39 fans on the RSVP list here, which I suppose would be the first row and the center area of the 2nd row (tho probably not all of them want to queue for ages), and I don't know how many more are coming from other countries, like Poland, Czechia etc., and how early they would be queueing. So I really have no idea what time you'd need to be there for frontrow center, but as I said, front area should be relaxed. (Of course I also have no idea what the entrance at the Tempodrom is like - at some venues it doesn't matter when you arrive, when the doors open everything gets mixed up and it's a lottery) As a reminder to everyone, no bags are allowed that are bigger than an A4 sheet - and they are strict about that! You'd have to throw away your bag if you want to get in fast and have no time to bring it back to your hotel / car.
  16. well, tbh "in the middle of the night" always was too much for me - I did try it a few times, but it's not worth it for me. Even if I try to be in frontrow, it doesn't have to be frontrow center - especially not at gigs where people are queuing at such crazy times. Frontrow center is like 5 places, depending on how you define it - and I'm perfectly fine with sleeping a bit longer and being a bit more on the side. 😅 And usually I'm going to more than one gig of a tour, and if it's not France, Italy or London, there are better chances for a more central place without queueing in the middle of the night (which is another reason why I love that he's coming to more places outside of these few on this tour! )
  17. some IG stories from the mikafanclubtoo account (filmed by Anna): 94495D0B92E710F402072F5E32BAF894_video_dashinit.mp4 B04AB2C16AAA4269B4FBE07329D0D88C_video_dashinit.mp4 B34EE11733838B7D99712703DB0D149E_video_dashinit.mp4 C84E322AE84EB948BAA962E935A59F9D_video_dashinit.mp4
  18. As Deb said, maybe this time it's not that bad because not so many people are coming to London. So far Mika's only UK gigs were in London, so all the superfans came there and it was lots of people trying to get to the front. People have in fact been queueing since the middle of the night to get to frontrow center ... but no worries, you can get in the first few rows if you start queuing a few hours before the doors open. Most random concert-goers only arrive in the 1-2 hours before the doors open, or later. When I was in Nancy 2 weeks ago I arrived the moment Mika came on stage, and I still found a good place at the barrier on the very side, where I could see well. It's not my fave place at a gig, but for not queueing at all it wasn't too bad.
  19. yes, I have a standing ticket. Seats are too far away for my liking - even if I can't queue from the morning, I still have a chance for the first few rows, at least on the side. The Revelation Tour stage layout with the catwalk was really useful for that, much more space in frontrow, so the chances for a good place were much better - but anyway I'm more relaxed now about queueing than I used to be - I'm tall, and 2nd row behind a small person is still ok for me. Getting too old for queueing from 6am or even earlier. 🙈
  20. Can't wait! The last London gig was so special! Will be the first time that I'll only arrive on the gig day in London, so I'll see where I'll end up in the queue - sad to miss the MFC party, but I'll be away til Friday, so it would have been too long to go another day earlier. Hope to see many of you at the Dublin MFC party! and if not, then at least at the London gig / in the queue.
  21. As a former journalist (tho not for this kind of news, just for computers ) I can tell you that they have to fill pages (or nowadays digital pages) - and when the deadline is looming and you have nothing (or not enough) to write about, you have to find something to write - and sometimes that means making things up. More or less creatively, more or less close to the truth. Sometimes I guess they just hope no one will notice. Anyway, in the case of Pennibrook Penniman, that journalist clearly was too lazy to do proper research. Or too drunk, as you say, ofc that's also possible.
  22. No problem, everyone has their own way of being a Mika fan - there's no "right" or "wrong" (as long as it stays respectful, ofc).
  23. Welcome to the world of Mika analysis, responsible for probably hundreds of thousands of posts on this forum since 2007. Imo better to question and analyze and discuss, than just scroll and swipe and consume content, like many people on social media do these days. And yeah, I guess having more of a "real life" might be the best option, but nowadays it's hard to separate the online from the offline world - and we do love living in Mika's imaginary world, with the internet being the main access to that.
  24. I hadn't seen anyone else complain... but that would certainly still be my favourite option.
  25. I've moved the posts about Mika's account to an extra thread, so we can keep on discussing without spamming this thread.
