  1. As a British fan, it isn't that he has songs in French that sometimes bugs me, nor is it that he has an international career. He has to find his career where he can, and at least the foreign shows keep him going strong. I'm not so interested in the foreign shows, but I've always understood why he does them. What gets to me is that he never mentions the UK, and all we have had is this one London gig. He must know that his UK fans still love him and want him to do more over here. I know there has to be invitations for him to do certain things, but do they even know he'd like to do, maybe, an advert on TV, or some TV work? When he was on The One Show, the hosts seemed really enthusiastic about him, talking about how he speaks so many languages and seemed enthusiastic about his album. but there wasn't really enough UK publicity, only that brief week with a couple of radio shows on Radio 2, not radio one. But then there was this announcement that he would be starting some radio work in the UK. That would have been awesome! But it's come to nothing. I come on here in the vain hope of something being announced. Some radio in the UK, some TV, or some more UK gigs? I hope against hope, and Mika remains silent. If only he would say something. Just to let his UK fans know he hasn't forgotten us, even if it is such that it would be next year before we get him back. He announces when his book is out in Italy, he announces a gig for Korea, and nothing for the UK. This is why being his fan these days, in the UK, is so disappointing. Besides, if he had tried to get EMD or BBB on the radio in the UK, maybe people would have liked the songs. He never gave them a chance to be liked. Maybe he should have done. .
  2. It was a pleasure to make the badges. It made me feel like I was a part of it all.
  3. We've been waiting For so looooong Fighting tears just to cary ooooooon.....
  4. I've been enjoying all of the stuff. Thank you all for the reports and the videos of that wonderful evening.
  5. I loved the review and adored the comments on the site. Yes, the UK needs to embrace Mika again. I hope he books more UK venues for more gigs. I'm convinced he can still weave his magic spell on our lonely little islands and be loved in the UK, not the same dizzy way as he was before, but in a more golden and lasting way, as a complete artist and musician. I would have commented, but I don't have facebook.
  6. Yes I hoped that people would keep them. Maybe wear them to other Mika gigs. I made one for myself that I hope I'll have chance to wear some day, if he does some more UK gigs.
  7. Thank YOU for spelling my name right!! When you consider that Marilyn Mastin is my username, at the side of each post I write, there's absolutely no excuse for people to be writing my name as Marylin as a lot seem to do. I'm so happy everyone loved the badges.
  8. This is the kind of UK publicity I was hoping for. I hope there's more, but this is very good!
  9. There were a lot of things. Buildings, stars, alsorts of stuff. I wish I could have been there I made 50 badges with Mika's name on. I hope they were given out to fans.
  10. I can't seem to get onto that link. I'll have to wait for some embedded videos. I'm so happy everyone had a brilliant time. It sounds like it was truly awesome! I hope that, now, he will book some more UK venues!
  11. Have a wonderful Mika-experience, everyone. I hope for lots of videos!!!
  12. Have a wonderful time tonight, everyone. I hope for lots of videos!!!
  13. The fan fiction thing isn't new at all. On programes like Star Trek there used to be what they called "Slash Fiction" involving, for instance, Kirk / Spock. Mostly it was gay, because, as mentioned, girls don't like their idols with other girls, but some stories were straight, if it was a couple that the fans were hoping would get together, like Captain Janeway / Chakotay. But these were harmless because they were about the characters and the characters aren't real. I actually wrote some fan-fiction based on Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Voyager. Most of what I wrote was to do with all kinds of relationships between the characters, and they weren't gay stories (because that's not my thing) when I did write about romance, then it was romantic and not sexy. The couple I always wanted to get together were Seven of Nine and The Holographic Doctor, from Voyager, but they never did get together unfortunately. As I say, it isn't real. But for people to write explicit stuff about Mika, especially pairing him with someone he isn't even involved with, especially when he's in a committed relationship elsewhere, is a disgraceful thing to do. They need to realise he is a human being, not a character in a TV show.
  14. It's a good job I didn't decide to go as I am sick. I've had a bad reaction to my Flu jab. But I'm excited for you all and I think the"surprise for Mika" will be awesome! I hope there are UK press people in the house, to see how much Mika is loved. I will be with you all in my spirit.
  15. I really hope there are representatives from the UK press in the theatre on the night. This will blow them away and make them realize how much Mika is loved by everyone!
  16. I agree with you! The review is great but the record company always release the wrong songs as singles. Promiseland is awesome.
  17. I've read the spoiler. This is nothing new really. What you speak of happens to many famous people. The best way for Mika to deal with it is to ignore it. However, X Factor Italy should not allow such things on their sites. If they see something like what is written about in the spoiler, they should take it down and delete anything on the twitter feed about Mika, or anyone else. As for the mocking of Mika's Italian, I don't think he would be getting upset about it. He probably knows his Italian isn't perfect, but he does his best. It's the tweeters who are showing themselves up by making such a fuss. That's my opinion anyway.
  18. I hope you'll still bring my badges to give out as I worked very hard on them. Are you still giving him the book with the artwork in?
  19. I bet you are all getting really excited I hope you all get your tickets okay and that Mika's cold is better.
  20. I did 50 badges and a picture for the book. I hope everyone's efforts are coming along well.
  21. You are right about the UK not supporting success. I think it was like that for Mika, it was that he got too big, too quickly. It seemed he came out of nowhere and a lot of the media did not like it. But I'm sure he still has fans here so it would be good if he tried to get back on top. Maybe in a different way, because pop music has moved on now. That ship has sailed without Mika, so he needs a different boat to sail to the UK in. Maybe he could shoot those promised music documentaries, or if he, maybe, records something classical, instead of pop, he could be a king in another music genre. I just don't want Mika to give up on us in the UK. His fans really miss him. XFUK isn't doing well. You are right about that. Anyway, I hope he has some plan in mind for the UK.
  22. I hope he gets well soon. It would be awful if he had to cancel the only UK gig.
  23. I totally agree that his gamble has paid off in Italy, and to some extent, also in France. So why not try a UK project to gain popularity in the UK? UK have TV shows as well.
  24. Well he's made his choice apparently. He's doing The Voice again. I suppose we can kiss goodbye to the hope for any more UK gigs while he's stuck, first in Italy, then France.
