  1. I really hoped he would concentrate on his tour, instead of doing this again. I don't know why he's bothering, because they haven't even put him up for an NRJ award. This is not going to help him win back his UK following. It's a big disappointment.
  2. Never mind about Mika.. Mika can come to Manchester instead, and he and I can weep together because we can't be there. Seriously though. I hope you all have a brilliant time!
  3. They obviously don't appreciate him. so I hope he doesn't do The Voice again there. There are other things he could do, like something in the UK, for instance.
  4. Just a couple of UK dates would let us know he still wants to know us in the UK.I get so fed up with everything he does, being in another country. Even if he did an advert here, like the one he's just done abroad, it would help him to be known again here. I am happy the tour is going well, but I really can't see myself sticking around here if there is nothing else in the UK, apart from the London gig which I can't attend because the trains are a nightmare at the weekend and the buses take too long. So I hope for a gig I can get to in the UK. and for Mika to do some project here, to raise his profile again.
  5. Another foreign thing that Mika has done. Would be over-the-moon if it was in the UK.
  6. I've been thinking about the characters he's used in the concerts. There was a Teddy Bears Picnic routine with animal costumes. But the character I remember liking the best is Gray Skelly. She was a big skeleton character who came on to give Mika a hug during Love Today, in the early concerts of the first album (I think it was called The Dodgy Holiday Tour but I might be wrong) and she was controlled from behind by Luke, when he was in the band, then later by another band member. I can't remember whom.
  7. Let's hope this publicity with Selma, gets him noticed outside of France. Because that's what he really needs.
  8. A few things I'm glad about. I'm glad the cd with the orchestra is a worldwide release. I'm really thrilled about the DVD and want to hear more about it. I'm very happy that Mika is thinking of going down the classical symphonic route as he is not going to get anywhere in the UK now, as a popstar. Pop music has moved on and there are many new stars doing very well for themselves. But if Mika can find his niche, with his classical training and his ability to create a true spectacle with an orchestra (which most of the new popstars couldn't do in a million years) then he could find a way back as a true musician. It would be a career that would last much longer than the careers of a lot of the newer popstars. But Mika does need to plan to do something in the UK, very soon.
  9. I'm glad you found comfort in Mika. You are lucky because, in Italy, you can see a lot of him on TV. We never see him here in the UK. I hope you get to meet him soon. Welcome to MFC.
  10. Some more UK dates would be nice. The article was good. Thanks to the translator.
  11. Well to be honest, I'm getting really fed up with it. I did think that the album with the orchestra would be a separate album that would be available in the UK around Christmas time. But I'm sick of everything he does being in Italy or France. Apparently according to an article above, his new concert will be featured on Sky, but no one needs to point out to me that it won't be on Sky in the UK. There is only one concert in the UK too. Mika hasn't announced any others, or any concrete news of any project. He mentioned some time ago, about a radio show. I felt really excited, but we've heard nothing since about it. There is nothing to bring Mika back into the minds of the UK. It's really disappointing and sad. I'll stick around to see what happens with the UK gig and whether there will be some publicity surrounding it, in the UK, but I am getting really fed up and find it hard to generate the enthusiasm I used to have, for an artist who's never doing anything in my country. I just had to get that off my chest.
  12. That's a shame. Why are Mika products, even the albums, often so hard to get hold of? Or they are out of stock, or something like that. It's sad that you can't find a watch.
  13. I've read this okay, thanks to my faithful Auntie Google. I love the end bit, about the music documentary he's thinking about. Quite some time ago he mentioned music documentaries but we've heard nothing since. He could do something really good. He already knows an excellent film maker and he has the knowledge. It could be a new and fascinating direction for Mika's career. I'm happy that the duet with the Italian singer is in English, but it probably won't help his career in the UK since we've never heard of the other person and no single of Mika's is doing well over here. A documentary in English, on UKTV, might be the thing that wold help him in the UK.
  14. Mine is the second one. The one that is mostly blue. I got it when they first came out. I call him Swika. I love him, and when I wear him he's a conversation starter, and of course the conversation is about Mika.. Wouldn't they still have the watches on the Swatch site? Maybe you could email the site and ask about it. I'm sure people still want the watches, especially if they are new fans, who weren't around when the Swatches first came out.
  15. What about the naked guy, or guys (can't remember how many exactly) on the cover of Boum Boum Boum, and let's not forget the voodoo face on the Swatch. I call my watch Swika, I can't remember the real name of it. Then there's Dr John from TBWKTM Lola (who's probably a hooker) from TOOL Devil Girl and Devil Boy from NPIH That's all I can think of at the moment.
  16. Definitely HMDYLM, it's such a waste of a good song that he hasn't used it. He could even do something with it like he did with I'm Falling, which became I See You on the album TBWKTM My son liked Sally when he heard it and thought that should be on an album. I agree with him. It's a good song. Holy Johnny would be good if he did a sequel to the NPIH album. Johnny prays for Mika to get into Heaven and the gates open for Mika.
  17. If enough UK people respond to this thread, I hope Mika sees it and responds to us. Favourite song: No Place In Heaven Country: North West England in the UK. Venue Old Trafford Football Stadium. (it is used for concerts. Take That were there a few years ago.) It's Manchester United's home ground, and it's really close to my home. Only about 15 minutes away.
  18. Thanks for the translation. If Mika was born in England it's certainly news to me. He wasn't born in England at all. It's a great interview.
