about this whole Georgia thing... I write poems sometimes and I've noticed that on occasion my brain will get infested with a certain word for a period of time and it ends up in a lot of my writing.

My favorite is definitly Good Gone Girl!!!!!!!!!!! I love the 'her name was Georgia and she was gorgeous" part!!!!!!!!

racinghorse83, I'm amazed! we think exactly alike! I'm not even kidding I thought almost that exact same thing! I even paired those songs together in my mind! And I also thought about the demos I've heard, seeing that there wasn't really a Grace Kelly or Love Today in the bunch. but of course nothing really close to them (I don't want a LICM shadow either) Although seriously, could you really picture Mika's next album without some amazing happy singles? Isn't that why we fell in love?

On Love Today, I always thought it was the words in the CD booklet, but I did notice the "never stood on my own two feet feet" thing. Maybe its on purpose, possibly a play on the sung words "two feet." But doesn't it almost seem like a typo? I wonder if anyone else noticed this in that booklet, on the last page where the credits are for Grace Kelly: Keyboards/Background Vocals: MIKA Drums: Greg Wells Guitar: Lyle Workman, Greg Wells Greg's last name was accidently bolded.

i loved that! really well thought-out and organized. My favorite was the "bringing you lover to meet the family" part. I only wish that that youtube video was still there!

I had this one dream about Mika. Nothing very special or notable happened in it, I just talked to him. But it was one of those dreams that was really really vivid. I could just feel his presence. It was absolutely amazing!!

Sailor Song- Regina Spektor genius

The first time my sister heard Mika she said: "It's just okay." I was very hurt Then I saw a Mika interview where he said this: "You never want people to say it's just okay. If everyone said that it would be...blah!" Apparently my sister hurt Mika too.

Mika and regina spektor are tied as my favorite artist. And I am so excited for Far in June:roftl:

I really meant to get an account earlier. I've been a Mika fan since January 2007. I live in the US so I've gotten used to hearing "Mika who?" whenever I mention him. Back when he was still releasing LICM singles, his music videos were few and far between on american tv. But one day I got lucky when I first heard Grace Kelly. It was so different from all the other stuff they were playing and I was absolutely amazed by his vocal range. Of course, the other thought that hit me was "wow he's gorgeous!" But it wasn't until a few months later when I was bored on youtube that I remembered this awesome video. I couldn't remember the name of the song or the artist (which seems absurd to me now) all I could remember was "I could be something, I could be violet sky." So I took a stab at it and typed it in. Its been almost two years since and Life in Cartoon Motion is still at the top of the stack of cds on my dresser.
