  1. I was just scrolling down page 53 and I realized that if you scroll fast enough it looks like Mika's moving, like one of those flipbooks!
  2. This is insane! only Mika...sure wish I lived in london
  3. Welcome Gigie! I came here kind of late too and thought I would get the cold shoulder. I was so suprised at how nice everyone was! Hope you have fun here!
  4. wonka! you almost gave me a heart attack! I feel stupid...can't believe how close I came to googling that:roftl: no, I wouldn't...not a stalker
  5. This happened just now: My high school is putting on a musical called On the Town, a tap dance-based musical set in the 1940s about three sailors in New York City for a day. Dad: "I think they should modernize it by making them astronauts instead of sailers." (he was joking) Mom: "Tap dancing astronauts!!??" (both of them don't know about Mika) Me: "Suprisingly, thats not a new concept for me":naughty: good thing they didn't ask any questions about that statement...how would you even explain that to someone?
  6. I had a weird Mika dream: I was sitting in my french class and Mika walks in out of the blue and starts speaking fluent french to my teacher. My french isn't too good so it took me a minute to figure out they were talking about me. Then my teacher said to get my things because he was here to take me out of school! Then when we were leaving the school: Me:"How do you know me?" Mika: "I have a big suprise for you! But I have to take you to my house first." Me: "On another continent?" Mika: "Oh, its not that far away" Then my dream ended:tears::tears: I never got to see what the suprise was!
  7. If all American radio is bad, Pittsburgh radio is the WORST. I hear all the time about my favorite songs being played all the time in other cities when are stations don't play anything even close! (argh! why isn't there a thumbs down smiley?)
  8. hahaha, I saw that! I just thought to myself: "I hope that boy wasn't stupid enough to put his real address in there...oh, Mika":teehee:
  9. Thanks for posting this! Love the pics. Maybe after three more years of french I'll be able to read it.
  10. As much as I want to I just can't get into this song! Power ballads must not be my thing.
  11. Funny, with the WAG video, the more I watched it, the more I liked it. This seems to be going the opposite way. I'm refusing to watch it a third time because I really don't want to hate it. Simple review: Pros: Loooved the overall look and feel to it, went well with the music and very love today-esque. Mika looked cute as always (love the hair:wub2:) Cons: again, reeeaaallly sloppy. I also thought the dancing would be more latin inspired and faster in general. Although, not a bad addition to Mika's videos btw, who directed this?
  12. YKYAMF when your friend tacks "Mika" onto every sentence to get your attention. i.e. "I dropped my cell phone in the toilet! Mika couldn't even handle this!" (this one actually did happen) I told her "Actually, he probably could, considering he has at least five to prevent people from getting his number. But he'd have to worry about saving all the little charms dangling off of it."
  13. (Sorry if there's a thread like this already) Here's how it works: 1. Comment on the book above you 2. Pick a book you like 3. Quickly summarize/review Here's mine: Its Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini an NYC teenager named Craig finally gets into the Executive Pre-Professional High School. He eventually can't take the pressure and almost kills himself, which gets him landed in a mental hospital. There, through his crazy neighbors and mapmaking, he finds his unexpected happiness. This book mentions a kid named Mika, actually. It says about him: "His dad was a higher-up in the Taxi and Limousine Commission and he had some sort of badge that allowed him to get free cab rides anywhere, anytime." The kid Mika was only in one chapter and I don't think he even said anything, but I thought it was funny that his name was in there and spelled the same way.
  14. remember when we first heard this song and we were wondering if it was good gone girl or gone good girl or girl gone good? well, leave it to Mika to choose the one that confuses us the most
  15. Hahaha! thats okay! I figured you weren't, just wanted to make sure!

  16. Hi! I saw you were friends with HollyD, so I figure you're from the US, like me. And I was just thinking that I have a friend from school who's 15, named Regina, and likes Regina Spektor. I've never talked to her about Mika. This a long shot, but you might be her. My name is Heather and I'm in ninth grade. Do I fit the description of anyone you know?

  17. Hi! I love your username! and your real name, btw, reminds me of my other favorite singer regina spektor:blush-anim-cl:
  18. great reply Christine:thumb_yello:! I agree that any song with a falsetto Mika can't replicate too well live. But I have to disagree in the sense that I do believe some songs are just better live. I find that the 'raw passion' is sometimes missing in studio versions.
