  1. He's really into the drag scene isn't he? Dammit, wish I lived nearer to Blackpool, I'd love to go to this club, especially if Mika was there, bet it would be such fun!!!!
  2. Sorry, yes, I meant TV interviews - the very few TV interviews I've seen Mika do, he was adorable - he should so do more of that kind of thing!! Piers Morgan would be interesting !!!
  3. I'm gutted that Rain isn't doing better . But maybe it is just as Silver said and it's a 'slow burner'. However, it would help if it was being played more on the radio because people need to be able to hear it for God's sakes to be able to tell whether they like it and will then buy it. I've also always thought Mika should do more interviews as well as performing his songs at promo's here in the UK (and elsewhere). In my opinion, he is his own best publicity machine as he comes across as very personable/sweet/funny etc - British people like characters they can warm to and fall in love with, and this in turn would have a positive effect on his record sales as the Brits back people they like as people. If more people got to 'know' him via interviews, he'd be more popular for his music. That may be shallow, but witness what happens with X Factor people - some can't even bloody sing, but because the public have got to 'journey with them' thru their highs and lows etc they get backed by the public and get taken to their hearts. In Mika's case, not only has he got a lovely personality but he has genuine talent, so people who may never have given him a chance before and initially (thru interviews he gave) come to like him just for his personality could very easily come to think 'Actually, this guy CAN sing and he IS talented', too so this might have a knock-on effect to his record sales. Just a thought.
  4. Exactly same applies for me - I also have a Family room with just me in it. At the moment looks like I shall be in 'splendid isolation' .
  5. Oh my, these pics are drop dead gorgeous . Thank you for posting them Dani!
  6. Very belated congrats, Blue Sky! Best wishes in your new mod role
  7. Wow, what an honour for the Queen to be in the presence of His Mikaness!!! Aww, I'm really pleased for him that he'll be taking part in this! And the fact that Michael Buble and Lady Gaga are also going to be in it is a definite bonus too!!
  8. Yes, he has three times recently that I know of (? if I remember correctly) listed Mika's gigs in his 'Critic's Choice' (which he does weekly in the 'The Times' listings mag 'Playlist'), putting them as one of his pick of recommended gigs to go to. The last one he put in this list was for the Little Noise session last Wednesday which he put as #1 in the list.
  9. Adorable review - thanks for posting! But, if I had to nitpick, Mika shouldn't be a 'GUILTY pleasure' - why feel 'guilty' about thinking he's amazing, when he so clearly is, or liking him so much, LOL??!
  10. What a roller coaster of emotions over this last 16 days - everything from bemusement/sadness/missing him/to acceptance about his non-tweeting to yesterday (having watched the vid of his performance of 'Rain' on GMTV) going back to really missing him again like a lovesick teenager, to this surprise and delight that HE'S BACK! Feeling all excited and giddy now!
  11. In the Tesco Gift Ideas mag I was pleased to see that TBWKTM is one of the CD's that they recommend as a gift. Given that they only highlight 16 albums in the brochure, I was really happy that TBWKTM was one of the ones they advertise (and with a nifty blurb too). I'm personally going to buy a few more copies of the album to give as Xmas pressies (in my self-appointed role of "Mika-pusher" - to indoctrinate all my relatives etc! but I do genuinely think my rellies will mostly like the album, I'm not just buying it for the sake of it, LOL!!) I know that buying a few copies alone won't boost the album right up the charts, but hopefully others will also buy it for Xmas and altogether it might make a difference??
  12. Thank you for posting the link! Oh. My. God. He looks fan-f*****g-tastic.... I love this tousled hair and the plain T-shirt and skinnies look too... He looks fit and well. I can't see any look of discomfort on his face when he dances/lands on that foot, which I'm relieved about. But, oh dear, having come to accept that he isn't tweeting any more, now that I've seen this I feel all sad and just WISH HE WOULD TWEET again!! I think I've had a relapse... He's messing with my head
  13. Well, two weeks into this Mika-tweeting-void and I've now gone from "concerned/missing him" to "concerned/missing him but resigned to the fact that he's no longer tweeting"! It's a lot 'easier' now. No more rushing to get online to check out Twitter as soon as I can and feeling that crushing disappointment when I find he still hasn't tweeted! I just don't expect him to tweet now (so consequently I'm not disappointed when I find he hasn't!). But when (or should that be if?) he tweets again, it'll be a lovely surprise!
  14. Thank you for posting pics!! I'm looking forward to seeing this on TV next week! I'm not particularly fussed about any of the other acts that took part in this (well, Macca is a national treasure and legend so I exclude him from that!), but it can be quite interesting to see singers/musicians who don't normally have anything in common or collaborate with each other, doing a group thing such as this.. But really I just want to see Mika and how he appears to be coping with this foot injury... The reports of him being such a gentleman are
  15. I'm really sorry to read that rude tweet . As I've said before on here, I hope it wasn't because someone/something (not just this specific tweet but maybe others of a similar type) has p****d him off/upset him that has caused him to decide to give up Twitter (whether just temporarily or permanently, who knows?). Again, as I've also said before, I've very consciously never either demanded anything from him/questionned him as to why he has or hasn't done something eg blog/tweet or anything else - I might state a wish that he'd blog/tweet on this MFC Forum or on Twitter but I've never done so directly to him. And even in my postings here or on Twitter (which obviously, as he doesn't follow me on Twitter he'd never see anyway; no idea if he ever reads MFC! ) I've never said anything I wouldn't say to his face - either because they're very straightforward comments or because, I hope, where I was being jokey/teasing, he hasn't had a sense of humour by-pass/failure and would know I was just teasing in an affectionate way. (Clearly, if I was aware that he'd been very ill/had a bereavement in the family or any other such sad event in his life, then it would be inappropriate to be jokey/tease EVEN just in discussion here or Twitter, just as it would be in RL to his face, and I wouldn't do that. But I believe that he is well and, at least looks, happy in latest reports/pics). I agree with what's been said that there is a distinction between us being able to respectfully discuss (even joke about!) things (whether that be 'theories' as to why he might not be tweeting/why he didn't sign autographs on a given evening or whatever it might be) here and actually directing comments to Mika himself (especially rude comments). Sorry this has turned into an essay - in short, I just sincerely hope it isn't because of these impolite tweets that Mika isn't tweeting but just that he decided to have a break from Twitter. Maybe he just wants to demonstrate to us that 'silence is GOLDEN', LOL (Joking!!!)
  16. I'm so pleased to see him looking well and happy! And the pics of him with his sisters and bro are just beautiful.
  17. Over the last few days whilst listening to it I've been trying to imagine what the video would be like...
