  1. Wow, that sounds amazing! Yes, you're right, spontaneity is the spice of life...unfortunately, for me, things like children, work and money (lack of!) often gets in the way of it, lol!! Am really looking forward to meeting you and other MFC'ers on Thursday (hope I do anyway!)
  2. Thanks for your reply, Jazzy. Well, I'm now in theory (assuming I get my ticket, lol!) coming to the Sheffield gig!! I'm not usually so impulsive, doing relatively 'last minute' things like this! But I'd been getting increasingly sad that I was only going to one Mika gig on this tour (Apollo Hammersmith) and really wanted to try to get to at least one other one if I could. I'm a really happy bunny now... Husband and son will nobly go and watch a movie while I'm at the show. So, I shall be on my tod at the gig - really hoping to meet many of you guys there. It'd be so nice to meet some MFC'ers! Having thought I still had two weeks before I see Mika live, I'm now really excited that it's just 5 days now - WOOO HOOOOO!!!
  3. Well, that's what my husband wondered, but I'm not sure how I could arrange that. I'm buying off one of those websites where people sell their tickets and the website, in this case viagogo, act as an agent, but I guess I could phone them to ask if this would be possible? I've never bought from one of those sites before. Not really sure how things work. Jazzy, have you been to the O2 Sheffield before? I know the gig is General Admission, but do you know if it's worth me paying a bit more for a "Standing Downstairs" ticket as opposed to just a "GA (standing) ticket"? Is there an upstairs to this venue?
  4. Okay, talk about the 11th hour, but I'm about to buy a ticket for the Sheffield gig from viagogo. Just having to think about what address to give for ticket delivery as I'll be away from home (going to be in Liverpool) from Tuesday and will go straight to Sheffield from there. Am scheming to have it sent to husband's work address in Liverpool as I'm worried that it won't arrive here at home in time before I go away...Probably safest.
  5. Last night I dreamt that Mika and I had bought a run-down house together somewhere abroad, don't know where it was but somewhere sunny and hot. I was really excited about doing it up, redecorating etc. I don't remember much of the dream, but I remember we did have some friends round and we were showing them around the house. At one point I was on a large terrace outside while Mika was having a nap/lying on a sunlounger in the sun. I was looking at the floor of the terrace which was painted a ghastly blue colour and trying to decide what tiles we should have laid instead. I was so looking forward to having this project to do together with him, a great feeling! Not the most exciting of dreams but it was just so lovely because it seemed so realistic (aren't they all?!) but more than that, just 'normal', like boring 'couple' stuff! And yet, I don't know if the house had been bought by us as a 'couple' or just as close friends iyswim! I've had several dreams about Mika or with Mika featuring in them somewhere - they're always very relaxed and 'ordinary', like we've known each other for ages, and very comfortable in each other's company. All of the above, including all the other dreams I've had about him, definitely is wishful thinking surfacing from my unconscious-self!!!
  6. His hands are SOOOO expressive!! He uses them such a lot, not just when he's singing, but when he talks too! The pics posted here are just gorgeous - and it's amazing to see (and lovely), in all the close-up shots, how well-manicured his nails are. A lot of men couldn't give a toss about the state of their nails, ewww... I particularly love the pics of his hands playing the piano - there's something incredibly sexy about attractive men who play a musical instrument. I could watch his hands playing the piano for ages, just mesmerised....
  7. Me too, especially if he does that touching thing he did when he sang it in LA - Touches You followed swiftly by Pick Up Off The Floor - and I don't mean the song....I mean literally!!
  8. Listening to the Dermot show now... I'm sure Dermot is a nice guy but his interest/enthusiasm for his guest always sounds rather fake to me. Maybe it's just me! I don't think how he sounds to me is unique to when he's talking to Mika, I hasten to add, I think he's like that whoever he's talking to or even when he's presenting on TV shows like X Factor! I love hearing Mika's speaking voice - never tire of hearing it!
  9. I really like 'Fireflies' and the video too which is really cute. My daughter was pleased to see him finally having a song in the charts/on TV as she has been a fan of his for some time now (several months!) and, I think she said, saw him live ages ago. It seemed to her it's taken him a long time to finally get the recognition he deserves. I don't know any of his other stuff yet, but am keen to hear more....
  10. My bloody laptop decided to crash just after Mika came on with that lady to present an award, gahhhh!!
  11. Michael Buble?? (Is he already on the list?) Has said he likes Mika's music in general and also, more specifically, that he likes both Mika's albums. (Plus he also seems to want to snog him, apparently, lol! )
  12. Hahaha, thank you! Funny, but I love YOUR username! Very apt for this forum especially, lol!

  13. Wonka, thanks for your message. I've just posted a reply to you on the Twitter thread. I know now that you were joking, I'm sorry for being such an idiot!

As I said in my post today, I just got criticised by someone recently (an MFC'er) about something similar which I posted (not on MFC Forum) and I was quite upset about that as I'd clearly been joking and I was shocked to be criticised for it. So I kind of panicked when I saw your reply to my post last night and got upset again. I know that you have a good sense of humour so I must admit I was a bit surprised when I thought that you might have been serious! I did try to think you were joking but I guess as I was feeling so over-sensitive I just went with assuming the worse.

I apologise to you for misunderstanding you on this occasion; normally I'm aware of your humour and when you're kidding!

Hope we can be friends and thank you again for your message. I really appreciate it!

  14. Wonka, thank you for this message - I've just posted a reply to you on the Twitter thread. I know now that you were joking, I'm sorry for being such an idiot!

  15. Wonka, thank you for your post and now it's my turn to apologise. Having kind of accused you of jumping to conclusions that I was being bad mannered to Mika, I then went and did exactly the same to you and assumed you were having a go at me when you weren't at all... I do normally get your sense of humour, honest, and find you one of the most entertaining posters on the MFC forums because of that. I'm afraid I was being overly-sensitive because I've been criticised before about a jokey comment I made (another kind of 'me-thinking-aloud', jokey comment) to do with Mika (not on this forum) and so when I saw your comment I just thought "Oh no, not again!". Also, I hate bad manners with a passion, and as I thought you had misinterpreted my post, I then immediately became defensive when I thought I was being called bad-mannered too (when, in fact, I'd rather poke sticks in my eyes than be rude to Mika, lol!) As I say, I was being stupidly over-sensitive and I now feel very embarassed about my outburst. Thanks also to everyone who also posted to reassure me that Wonka didn't mean it!! Please accept my apologies and can we put this behind us?? I'll try to stop being so stupid.....
  16. I was joking by the way, hence the 'LOL' and the winking smiley in my post which I was careful to add to avoid any misunderstanding/misinterpretation, but obviously it didn't work..... I wouldn't dream of being 'rude' to him or 'commanding' him; I was just 'thinking aloud' in a joking fashion, sheesh... I'm sure (IF by some chance he was to read this or I was to be able to say it to his face) he would see/know it was meant in a teasing way not as a serious "command" or me being in any way impolite! I'm quite upset that anyone would accuse me of being rude to Mika (having 'bad manners'), actually, as 'rude' (bad mannered) is the last thing I would be to anyone, whether that be Mika or anybody else.
  17. Mika, for the love of God, TWEET, dammit!!!! Sorry, pent-up frustration. I feel so much better now I've got that off my chest, lol!
  18. Jazzy, I'd really love one of these if you have any left, please!! Thank you!!!!
  19. I really, REALLY like Michael Buble!! Adore his voice and think he's very cute-looking too. But I had no idea he was also so funny too! Just watched the YouTube vid interview where he said he likes Mika, and he comes across as generally really lovely and with a good sense of humour; a very cool guy!!! (Although the 'major confessional/guilty' thing about liking Mika made me want to wag my finger at him and tell him off, lol! but I'm glad he does like Mika). I think I like him EVEN MORE now that I know he's also the sort of guy I'd like to hang around with because he'd probably be such fun! I must get to see one of his gigs!!
  20. I haven't received Mika's tweets from today! But I see from last few posts that I'm not the only one - hoping it's just a Twitter prob which will sort itself out soon...
  21. This is a really interesting thread - been curious about Erase and its 'history' for some time, mainly because I like the song but more because my youngest son absolutely LOVES it, and has asked me in the past if Mika has ever released it (I didn't know but thought he couldn't have done) and more recently why he didn't put it on TBWKTM, saying he definitely should have done! Now I'll be able to give my son an answer to his question as to whether it's been released before and also tell him other stuff like Mika doesn't like to sing it live because he finds it too upsetting!
  22. I just love 'Happy Ending', always have a lump in my throat when I hear that! Also, think 'I See You' is gorgeous and 'My Interpretation' too. 'Pick Up Off The Floor' is beautiful as well.... He writes such stunning lyrics and music.... Sometimes it's not JUST the words (or EVEN the words at times!) that affect me - the orchestration is amazing eg use of violins (most recently Owen Pallett's plucking of strings on 'Rain' which I just love, or lots of violins played together particularly 'In Any Other World' and PUOTF) and the piano etc
