A fabulous studio indeed which welcomed other stars like Madonna, Rihanna and also.... George Michael. So Mika, what about this long-awaited new album? I'm finishing my album, the new album which will be released this year and we are working on arrangements for a symphonic concert in Montreal with 120 musicians. While waiting for this incredible show, Mika polishes the arrangements of one of his future hits, and today he is recording bass The song that we are starting to record as a demo is called 'Talk About You'. For me everything is linked. When I write, when I work on The Voice, it gives us energy, it gives me energy as a writer and as a singer. Our coach is full of energy so after a well deserved break Mika, what's next? Now we're going to my sister's place. It's not very far. Did you know Mika's sister is a painter? It is then together that Mika and Yasmine are going to create the album cover. It will be a pretty portrait of Mika covered with pop collages It starts with a very simple drawing, for example this. And then, something simple transforms into something much more elaborate. For the album I did a shooting a few days ago and around the photos we want to cut out some shapes in coloured paper and make some sort of collage.

    Thank you Chloë It's the first show tonight so I think I'll have a look in anticipation IMO it can be a very interesting moment with Mika, I recall he likes the host so he will probably be inclined to open up.

    It was such a nice meeting, I had already enjoyed last year's event very much but this time I knew fellow fans much better and it helps to feel at ease. I had a great time both at the pub and during the recording (even if the Battles are much less entertaining than blind auditions) and I still can't believe that Mika offered us all our meal I will never forget the moment we learnt it... Surreal! But with Mika dreams can be reality and I feel like I write this in each of my reports but I'm really amazed by his kindness! Thanks to everyone who was there to make this day a very special one from the meal at the pub to the recording with some of our dance moves to waiting outside dancing the Macarena and singing 'Dadadidadidoum' at 2am Special thanks to Mélanie and Maggie, your hard work is very much appreciated @Nicole: je ne savais pas que c'était ton anniversaire, joyeux anniversaire en retard!

    Once again it's a question of formal vs informal. What you learn in school is generally not what is spoken in the streets or houses in France. Sorry to announce it to you so abruptly Both versions would be understood and correct though.

    Yes I confirm what Christine says, it's just that when speaking casually we are missing a lot of sounds that should be pronounced when you're speaking formally. It's even worse than the example given because 'Je ne sais pas' is usually transformed into some kind of 'jsais pas' So I agree that if you learn it in full (which is the correct formal way), you are sure to be understood. Informality comes with time in the native speaking countries BTW, I'd be happy to help anybody who's having any other question about all this.

It's good to read this even if I was there because even if you think you've forgotten things you already remember more than I do I preferred this recording session than the first one. They all seemed more relaxed and there were more interesting contestants; even for the ones who were not chosen, there were always thoughtful comments given by the coaches (well, for me the ones with better arguments are Mika and Zazie) I already want to see the show on TV now! Hoping they'll keep the best parts Melyssa talked about It was nice seeing everyone and meeting new people, I had a great time with you and Mika was once more so amazingly kind, I'm shocked each time

    Of course I'm so very grateful to the people who took the videos and I thanked them for that It's exactly because I was thinking 'what if there were no videos' that I was wondering if he'd tweet. But those vids are worth 1 million tweets! (which Mika will never reach anyway )
